It is incredibly refreshing that they don't have Brady being a dead beat and a jerk, or someone who disappeared from their daughter's life after the split. They show that for whatever reason Kat and Brady did not work as a married couple but they still love each other and support each other. And both are incredibly active in their daughter's life. Kat does not try to stop Brady from being in Alice's life either.
