This is a part one video so let me know if you have a question so I can include it in my video next week 🙂
In example 5, I said TU VEUX, but on the screen, it's VOUS VOULEZ. Sorry for that!
Thanks for watching ❤️
Pas de problème 🙂👍🏻🌹
You make it easy to understand. Thank you.
Perfect lesson, perfect pronunciation ! I am so happy with your lessons ♥️
Thank you for your comment Yordanka ❤️
I appreciated est-ce que well after this video. Merci beaucoup Dylane.
Je t'en prie 🙂
Thank you for the video. You're really stick to the point in every session. Very succinct, very easy to digest.
One thing for this particular, in example 5, you say "tu veux" in the video, but it display vous voulez in the screen. If you can make a note on it, that would be great.
Thank you again.
Good catch! I will put a note but I can't change the video unfortunately. Thanks :)
Merci beaucoup Madame,
J'aime chacune de vos vidéos que j'ai regardées et apprends davantage.
Merci beaucoup Monu 🤩
Merci beaucoup! Vos vidéos beaucoup moi aidées à apprendre Français. Tu fais ça facile :)
Merci :)
Awesome lesson, merci beaucoup
Wow, I have to say this is THE best explanation ever! Love your teaching style in the slow buildup of the concept. I like the way you summarize everything at the end and teach us correct pronunciation. The timing is perfect for the back arrow: two presses and it goes right back to the beginning of the sentence to practice the pronunciation again. By the end of the video not only did I understand the material but could pronounce it like a native. Thanks so much and Happy New Year!
I am so happy it was helpful 🤩
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane Merci beaucoup pour votre rèponse. C'est trop gentil.
You are a skilled teacher 😀Thanks for demistifying this for me . I cannot beleive this was so puzzling for me for years😐
I had an incredible English teacher who never made me feel bad for barely understanding anything in English. All he said is that one day, I will get it. He was right. I had to wait until I was 26 years old but one day I was just ready!
If you don't understand something, just move on, one day you will get it ;)
Thanks for the class. I guess the best way to show my appreciation is to buy your book from the link. I did. Merci beaucoup.
Thank you so much for supporting me! I really hope you enjoy the book ❤️
Loved it,Totally satisfied with the video.
Merci 🤩
Merci encore, Dylane.
Dylane tes vidéos me relaxent tellement à cause de ta voix apaisante, ton joli sourire et les couleurs relaxantes de tes vêtements. Et j'utilise tes vidéos beaucoup avec mes élèves de 12 à 18 ans.
Merci beaucoup Brenda 😊 12 à 18 ans ça doit être compliqué de préparer les leçons 😅
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane Je donne des cours privés :)
You are such a great teacher for every beginner
Thank you :)
Thanks lady.. you are a life saver
Happy to help!
FYI...I am passing many of your videos to my beginner college French students as additional help for the concepts we are studying, like est-ce que and qu'est ce que, as well as for help with pronunciation from a native French speaker.
As a native English speaker teaching French, I tell my students to literally translate "est-ce que" as "is it that..."
Even though English speakers rarely use that construction for asking a question, it does make sense in English, and it helps my English speaking students to know when to use and how to translate est-ce que.
Example:
Est-ce que tu viens ce soir? = Is it that you are coming this evening? = Are you coming this evening?
That's a great tip Richard, thank you! And thank you for passing my videos, I really appreciate it ☺️
Merci beaucoup madame 🌹💐🌹
This was such a great lesson!! Thank you! I'm wondering whether the "est-ce que" inversion can also be used to ask about a location--in some videos I listened to, people said this inversion is used when asking yes-no questions, but I know "où est-ce qui" exists. If I wanted to ask my friend "where are you now?", could I say "Où est-ce que vous êtes maintenant?" Maybe that wouldn't work. Merci beaucoup et bonne journée. :)
It totally works 😉
Thank you so much for amazing lessons nice beautiful soul and kind teacher God bless you 🙏💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
You are so welcome
Very good explanation ... Thank you
Merci :)
Très bien 👍 merci ☺️!!
Merci à toi ;)
Merci, j'avais oublié qu'il avait le t devant des voyelles! Good job!
Beaucoup de gens l'oublient 😉
Excellent video!
Thank you very much!
thank you for solid treatment of the topic. so happy to have found such channel, among these youtube content monopolists like alexa and co. ❤❤
My pleasure 🤩
thanks a lot ❤❤
My pleasure :)
great video! I've always wondered if "est-ce que" is just a formal way to ask questions or not. can you clarify if there's no difference of asking with est-ce que tu parles francais and parles-tu francais? if it's just optional? merci beaucoup!
I would say that est-ce que is semi formal. I use it all the time when speaking personally. The inversion is the most formal of all.
Very formal: Parles-tu français ?
Formal ish: Est-ce que tu parles français ?
Not formal: Tu parles français ?
Merci beaucoup Madame
Pas de quoi 😊
c'est absolument fantastique, Dylane trois video in a week is really tough we really appreciate your hard work also we are waiting for your podcast well as you already trés busy with youtube but once a month on your website would be much useful for us if c'est possible. :)
don't mind for the jumble the word I using here. this is what I learn so far and from now and so on please reply me in French. 🙂
Funny you are commenting that now because yesterday I decided to step down to 2 videos a week starting next week, I don't have enough time to do everything I want for my business (course, books, etc) so I needed to make that decision.
Ton français commence déjà à être très bien! Continue comme ça 🙂
Merci, well you already provided lot's of lesson for us so it's okay to have two video a week. Infact take as much time as you can because content quality is only matter instead of quantity. One more thing as per your Instagram I see you love traveling so we really love to see you in future with your traveling vlog channel. Anyway I have 112 lesson (RUclips video) of yours which I have to watch on loop to understand it so I have a lots of syllabus to cover-up.
It will be 2 videos a week until I start my 2 other projects, which are my podcast and my channel about living in Canada. It won't be a traveling vlog exactly, something in between, but hopefully it will be as interesting 🙂
Currently I am working on a new book and on a course, once the 2 of them are done and launched, I start everything else 😉
It's sound perfect 😉 well wishes for your project. Well current pandemic really gonna teach us all something that we never going to forget.
There is "est-ce que" in Arabic language too. I remember when I asked my English teacher, how to say "est-ce que" in English?.. she replied: it's a long story lol!
I had no idea 🤩 I love when people explain me the similarities between French and their languages ☺️
Thank you.
You're welcome!

i don't can speak very well french and how are you
😊
Which of the 3 interrogative structures is used the most frequently, s'il vous plait?
The one without inversion or without est-ce que :)
ډیره مننه چې د درس په پای کې مو هر څه روښانه کړل.
زه د افغانستان څخه فرانسې ته کډوال شوی یم ، د تیرو دوه میاشتو راهسې مسلسل هره ورځ شپږ ساعته ستاسو چینل تعقیبوم، هر درس په کتابچه کې لیکم، اوس زه په فرانسوي ژبه خپل مشکل یو حلولای شم.
زه ستاسو د ټیچینګ څخه متاثر شوی یم
بیا هم مننه
Sounds like "es que" in Spanish, it's not very common but sometimes we ask "Es que tú eres francés?" "Es que sabes lo que esto significa?"
In French we use it a lot :)
Wunderbar
Merci :D
That's great; thank you; very clear, but I'm still confused. What about Qu'est-ce-que c'est? and c'est quoi?
They are similar, the first one is more formal :)
Very good mam 😎😑
Thanks a lot 😊
Do you teach private lessons on line?
I don't no :/
Bonjour Madame.
I have seen this video 11 months ago. But in repeat again today. Today I noticed Glow in your face.
I want to know does hyphen is called Tiret in French. Can you make a video to describe all symbols name in French.
Yes I will do a short video about this :)
When to use est-ce que, i now understand how to use it
So glad I was able to help 🙂
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylaneI want to know when to use est-ce que
I watched many videos but when I watched this I got it in one snap
So glad that my video helped you 😃
Can you do enchante 3 chapter 3
salut!! I am little confused in 9th sentence. why "Is he thirsty" is not "est-ce qu'il est soif ? " why have you used avoir verb here?
We don't use ÊTRE we use AVOIR, for SOIF, FAIM, FROID, etc. You should check out this video, I am sure it can help you to understand: ruclips.net/video/JFBw0-d1z48/видео.html
You made a video about qu'est-ce que
How about qui?
This video is about est-ce que, I don't have a video yet about qu'est ce que. But I will make one ;)
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane merci beaucoup
Salut Dylane!comment vas tu ? J'espere tu vas bien.
Je vais très bien merci, et toi?
N'oublie pas le tiret entre "vas-tu", 👏
How to ask using "on" with est-ce que? Est-ce-qu'on .....? Is this correct?
Est-ce qu'on - Parfait 🙂👏
Hi. On the 5th one "Voulez-vous venir ce soir" I think it's confusing. I think pronunciation and spelling don't match. Could you check it?
I edit my comment because I thought you said the translation doesn't match. My bad!
You are right, I said Veux-tu venir ce soir instead of voulez-vous. I don't know why I didn't change the writing
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane Ah I see. no worry. Also, can you make videos of expressions when people go for wine tasting especially when visiting wineries in France?
So how to describe wine in French ?
I am sure I could do that :)
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane How to describe but also like "Can I drink this wine?" "Did you use oak?" "How much is this wine?" "Can you ship it to my country?" so on.
I will see what I can do 🙂 I am not a wine expert myself so I need to do some research first
Example 5 is written in 2nd person plural but you are saying 2nd person singular. Hope this helps.
Thank you :)
But why do we want to use the inversion and est-ce que? Why use one way over the other?
Just different ways to ask a question. Many languages have different way to ask a question.
Je suis Robert je habite Pays de Galles je suis apprends Francais.
Bienvenue sur ma chaîne Robert 🙂 N'hésite pas si tu as une question
Merci! Je apprends ces jours, donc il va falloir que vous m'aidiez s'il vous plaît!! 🖤🖤🖤 I'm not quite sure if I said it right but I hope you had my point!!
surely the brand of teaching you possess doesn't justify your views😭😭
At least I can answer all the comments ;)
Es-tu parisiense ma belle Dylane?
Not pronounced [nah-tive] try [né-tive]
Welcome.
Thanks :)
Donne ton Coeur a Christ
May I ask dylane What is the infinitive of veux?
Vouloir :)
