- Aourir, Morocco, also knows as Banana Village is a bustling town between Agadir and Taghazout. It is important for tourists because it is the only place with an ATM and gasoline between Agadir and Tamri. In addition to money withdrawal, just about everything else can be found there, with the exception of alcohol.
The murals of Aourir provide a charm, a welcoming and colorful aesthetic to announce you are in a desert village which also serves as a surfing oasis. The panels of the mural contain many things Moroccan. They welcome us at the roundabout of Aourir.
Our mission was to get keys, as we walk by mechanics, buses to paradise valley, and plenty of snack options. Moroccan tacos are nearby, but we move on to buy Moroccan baskets, and a sharp knife being sold for Eid. There is a lot more barbecue materials for sale these days. The streets are alive and busy. We see some Moroccan ceramics in a tajine shop.
We cross the dry riverbed and notice some trash in the river, remember keep it clean keep it zween!
We find a coffee machine which is a personal favorite, we visit a pet shop as well as a location where they are making argan oil and Amlou. We visit a store which sells beds in quest for a door clothes hanger. We buy figs which are coming more into season. We stop for a tajine of chicken and drink juice. Afterwards a buy a kilogram of Moroccan cookies which are being sold for Eid Adha 2020. Eid Said Morocco!
