For the dog poop thing : Already exist in Switzerland (at least some cities). Having your dog DNA tested is part of the registration fee and you get a super hefty fine for any dog poop, largely covering the DNA testing. It's honnestly a good solution to incivility

France, too! Dogs have to have a dog passport, too. The police checks whether your dog has been registered, chipped and neutered. Every country should implement this.

Regarding Germany: It's only a partial legalisation, as there is another part of the policy that still needs to be finalised, and approved by the cabinet, and then has to go through the Bundestag and Bundesrat.
Most people havent even noticed. The party is postponed so far.

The Oompa Loompa actress said she wanted to walk out but she’d signed a contract. Also when she and the other actors saw the kids, they wanted to at least try and make it a good time for the poor kids. I feel so bad for all the actors for getting caught up in this

You do realized you just outed yourself right? I'm an American and it's really not hard to follow international news. We have dozens of news programs in the US that are specifically oriented at international news some are even region specific. You want to know more about the middle east? Al Jazeera. South Africa? News24. Asia? Asian Times. I mean the BBC covers a LOT of global matters in general, CNN also touches on international issues but they're kinda annoying IMO.

YEAH! Watching this in Edinburgh. This event has been our own wee Fyre Festival. Most people said they were laughing so hard at how terrible it was.
I mean the following comment as a compliment, and really hope that you take it as such @AnyoneCanSee. I absolutely LOVE the word "wee" for small/tiny. It is so fitting!! It is cute and tiny itself, 10/10 Scottish people, no notes! The country is definitely on my bucket list of destinations :)

If you visit Scotland, I suggest hiring a car as Scotland has some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world, monumental mountains, beautiful lochs and glorious glens. I sometimes tell people to Google picture search "Scotland's white sand beaches" as many don't know as we are not famous for beach weather.
But for long walks on isolated coastal paths, there is nowhere better in Europe.
Many just do a flying visit to Edinburgh and miss out on all the rest.

I approve of the dna poop laws. I regularly pick up after other peoples dogs as well as my own. Couldn’t figure out who was letting their dog dump on my path down to the graveyard. Got a trail cam and found out that i have a large coyote using the path😂.
What happens if someone forgot bags or ran out and went to get more? There's no tolerance to that. Seems like an invasion of privacy to me.

Usually if bags run out, often when you're at the end of the roll but can't count them and your dog decides to poo 3 times instead of the usual one on that walk. If you have a dog long enough, it *will* happen eventually. Even if you're obsessive.

Uhm, actually: The cannabis thing is not yet fully decided. It was approved by the Bundestag (directly elected parliament), but the Länder (states) may (and very likely will) block it in the Bundesrat (somewhat like the US Senate, but less influencial and the members are appointed by the state governments instead of elected). Depending on how many states vote in favour of the block, the Bundestag may or may not be able to overrule them (or have to negotiate). Also, even if the bill eventually passes, it will have been delayed for a while.
Good luck with this explanation. I can't tell you how many times I have tried to explain the federal system to Americans...who have it too!
The part about Bolzano is true. They're having trouble getting people to comply. The first deadline was at the end of December. It's been extended. The biggest complaint is that we are a tourist town and the tourists aren't required to have their dogs tested.

In any case, reptiles don't live in cold climates! AND... large predators can't find food in enclosed alpine lakes!!! Ever fish in a Northern Lake? You get 7-inch fish at most, if it's not a salmon habitat, in which case you may expect salmon like clockwork each year.

The law for Cannabis in Germany only passed the Bundestag but still needs to pass the Bundesrat where there is a different majority. The Bundesrat can delay the law until it goes back to the Bundestag which has to pass it again with a two-thirds majority which the ruling coalition does not have. However, they can also delay it until the next election which may change the majorities again.
Personally, having observed this process in Germany for a few years, I think it very unlikely that it'll be actually legalised anytime soon because the opposition is completely against it (they much prefer alcohol).
Ja, but they left out the parts in this law that gave the Bundesrat any reason to object. The CDU can suck it this time.
