I so get it. My former partner was a professional touring musician and I also worked in the industry. We were long distance often. It’s hard to make that adjustment to being alone again. Thankfully this contract keeps you super busy. You’ll be done before you know it.

I can semi relate to your relationship. My boyfriend is in the military and I live in Florida for work also with the military. He is stationed in another state. It’s heartbreaking but worth it ❤. I rather be with him and see him when we can than be with someone else and see them everyday

Wow ... Callum was not on the ship for very long. Hope you're not too down --- I know you like to keep busy and, of course, that helps a little bit. Thinking of everyone cruising in the hurricane areas and hoping you're all ok! Wow ... that first shot of the crew mess looked pretty good! I know the food can get a bit repetitive, but the selection looked pretty delish that particular meal/lunch!
The ships have weather routers, so depending on the hurricanes they may get rerouted to different places or just get the hackers out of dodge if that is what is necessary. When you take a cruise there is no guarantee you will go to those exact destinations and they may need to skip ports. In the next video, they may be a day late getting back because of the newest hurricane.

Yes, it is repetitive but for me that is the comfort. What prompted me to submit a comment was what you said about waking up to realize that Calum is not in the bed with you. I was married for 53 years. My husband died a little over two years ago. I still think he is there when I wake and I still reach for him. It takes me a few seconds to remember that he is not there. I don’t know how long this will last. It isn’t as heartbreaking as it used to be but still painful. Cherish all the time you have together. We had so many mornings to wake together. Have you ever thought about using reusable cotton pads? I got a pack of them and I will use the same one several times (mostly for eye makeup) and then throw it in a lingerie bag and once I've used up most of them I throw the bag in the wash and voila! It's so much better than having to buy cotton pads over and over and better for the environment :) I have also tried to use reusable plastic bags as much as I can lately also :)

I was going to suggest that you look into getting one of those 360 cameras because I've seen a lot of great footage on other vlogs. But while it would be a nice change of pace I was appalled at the over $400 price and I don't think you can get one at Walmart. Maybe save up and treat yourself when you hit 100,000 subscribers. Can you imagine skating and using the invisible selfie stick? How cool!

I know when you live aboard you tend to accumulate a few things (clothing, decor, "kitchen" stuff, etc.) and I know you sometimes leave stuff like wallpaper or string lights in the cabin for the next inhabitants when you sign off, but is there anywhere (on the ship, at the ministry, ?) where you can leave things in a "give and take box" for other crew to pick up and use? It seems like it would save crew money on things most everyone wants aboard, but doesn't want to take home and it's sort of a "recycling" program.
