I loved everyone in the Liverpool team that won the European cup for the first time in Rome, but my special fave players were Ray Kennedy and Jimmy Case.
I'm here because I just signed up for an over 35's league team in Birmingham. It was my debut today & I scored 2 and got 2 assists. One of the older guys (Liverpool fan) at the end said my style of play reminded him of Ray Kennedy who I (embarrasingly) wasn't familiar with. What a player though!
The first goal in this video (Vidsev Lods) and his goal against Byern Munich were the best I ever saw by Ray his off the ball running was immense and his vision of the game was world class...He along with Terry Mcdermott were my faves in that team.
Love to see a player do really well with a new club after being released because he is considered past his best. Was the same with Pat Jennings at Arsenal.
@@2005peasah they thought he'd lost the pace to lead the line, they were right but paisley knew he was a great player so dropped him deeper and he became the Ray we all know and love
