I'm in PRCC's The Voices and we performed at the ACDA Southern Division conference with them. The first four measures of this masterpiece made me teary-eyed and I knew it was going to be good, but the measure that everyone came in on made my emotions get tye best of me and the acoustics of the church helped. I've always wanted to be a part of that magnificent group but this piece made me remember why I love choir and made me go " I absolutely need to be a part of this ensemble!" Thank you so much for this work of art and letting the Southern Chorale perform/record it. Bravo!!!
I just heard the Southern Chorale sing this today. Absolutely beautiful. If you think it’s good in this recording, it was literally breathtaking in an echoey theater.

Heard southern chorale sing this the other night at an ACDA preview concert. I wept then and again just now hearing this video. As someone who has been in choir since 2nd grade and has recently finished my time in a collegiate choral setting it is bitters sweet to reminisce on my time in an ensemble of this caliber. My last time singing with my college was ACDA Southern division in Alabama right before covid. Such bitter sweet memories. Oh to sing music like this again…my soul would soar. Glad I can listen to the beauty of choral music and still have it in my life.
