Redstone might be one of the best choices for a 1 card setup, especially for simple cash back.
I forgot to add though that there are $7k caps on gas and dining (each) but for me that’s higher enough I think.
Credit unions are amazing for starting a business business. Always recommend everyone to go local if you’re in a small town.
Absolutely. I think everyone should belong to one even if it isn’t their main banking partner.
Feels like a bit of a "Don't talk loud, I don't want to wake up the baby!" vibe in the intro???
Yeah I noticed it was a bit off. I’m not sure what was going on that day. Maybe it was just a low energy morning??
That Redstone card is looking pretty good to be honest!
It’s big league, for sure
I have it and love it! I’ve gone from carrying a wallet full of cards to just 2.
@@johntruluck6210 It looks pretty solid. Great P2 card. Easy to use as a 1 card setup!
@@johntruluck6210 simple is efficient
Thanks for the info + video!
Thanks for watching Jimmy!!!
"fancy electric cars that catch on fire for no reason" LOL 👏
Well some of them do, I guess.
Nice video Luke. I bank with a CU here in Miami. Love the personalized service and very competitive rates. CU are very underrated.
Yes sir!! Thanks for watching!!
Great job on RUclips ❤
Thanks Vickie!!
I’ve been with Alliant since 2009. I started with them when I needed a HSA, which required opening a savings and checking. They are mostly my secondary bank, but I do keep a little cash there for situations when my main bank doesn’t have a fee free ATM (they reimburse up to $20 per month). If I didn’t have so many other cards that earn more, it would be a pretty solid card. Decent catch-all at worst. But that Attitude Reserve has been teasing me…might have to do that.
AR is the new darling of RUclips!!
Well said, my favorite credit card content creator! CU has good cashbacks! Meanwhile everyone else out there pushing content for Citi -for referrals- 😂
Wait. Citi doesn’t have a referral program.
@@LukesPointsandMiles you’re right! I was thinking of AA cards that give you statement credits for referrals, unless I misremember that!
@@MrDubs6000 I don’t even think the AA cards have referrals. Amex and Chase are the big referrals issuers great referral program
I have a lot of long-term, built-in spend (bills) I can pay with a card and get a SUB. I’m right at 5/24 with Chase, looking at running a version of a Hilton AMEX ladder. But where to go after that? I’m looking at the USAA Eagle Navigator card and the Navy Federal Credit Union Flagship card. Both offer modest SUBs and decent benefits
Nice! Thanks for watching!!
No cash advance fee is insane! Way to go redstone.
My town has a small credit union that has cards via Elon. There are a couple 5% no annual fee, cash back cards that caught my eye. Might have to think about it!
Love your content.
- Ivan
Thank you sir! Elon has those max cash preferred cards. Very good cards.
I've got the alliant and redstone... redstone is a sleeper of an all rounder
Sure is. However it looks like the word is out, at least on the RUclipss.
Hi Luke, One thing with Credit Unions because they are similar to regional banks. You really have to compare brands. There are quite a few just in Central Florida. Suncoast seems to have the best credit card than MidFlorida or GTE. The only bad thing about Suncoast is that they are not located in East Polk County. MidFlorida is but their cards don't compare at all to Suncoast.
Suncoast Credit Union is the official Credit Union for the Rays. Their TV ads aren't bad either.
Very cool!!
I 💝credit unions!!
Me too!!
There credit unions you didn't mention anything about membership requirements.
Nope. I wanted to talk about cards. 💳. That’s a whole other topic.
can anyone refer me to a good source to learn more about credit unions?
First thing I would do is look locally.
@@LukesPointsandMiles im from queens, ny; so just google credit unions around the area?
Redstone said that 120K points is equal to $600. So are you really getting 5% CB?
Very common misconception. The card earns 10x points on gas and dining. Points are worth half a penny so the card earns 5% cash back on dining and gas. They don’t seem to mind confusing folks. But it’s a 5% cash back card after it’s said and done
Don’t bog down in the math. The points are double the reward percentage. You end up getting exactly what is advertised. I have this card and can attest to that.
@@johntruluck6210 thanks John. A lot of folks seems to be confused about this!!
@@johntruluck6210 Are you able to get $100 in cash, statement credit or gift cards for 10K points? Or is there another way to get 1 cent per Redstone points?
Not normal 🫣
🤣
