Need to develop Siswan Forest Reserve is high. Potential exists but there are major lapses. Parking is painfully limited. The entrance gate is very close to the main mountainous Baddi road, and is busy with traffic. Hence exit and entry with very little parking is rather dangerous and discuraging. May be some 10 cars or less, can be parked. The resort is poorly attended (or not attended) by staff. In fact in my 2 to 3 visits, I found no one on duty in reception cabin. All entrances were closed with bolts and no one to attend, and no directions suggesting whom to contact for the Eco huts or even for visiting the Herbal Garden or Interpretation Centre. On 29Dec 2024, between 12 noon to 3 PM, I could not get anyone to give information. One person in green pattern pant was office staff, but was lounging around. On asking he told that the guide for Interpretation Centre was expected to be around, but missing. There is no website to do reservation of huts. If the centre closes at 4 PM, how and if one gets dinner at the hut is not clear. Hence, a lot of improvement is seriously required.
