- I was actually kind of excited for the Billboard Awards red carpet this year! But unfortunately it was such a gross display of fashion, I feel a bit traumatized! Between Alicia Keys, H.E.R., Dixie D’Amelio, Migos, Bad Bunny and more it was truly a jaw dropping moment in the worst way possible. There were some sweet moments like Megan Fox, Machine Gun Kelly, Doja Cat, & The Weeknd but besides that it was well HORRIFIC!

BMA used to be one of the hottest events of the year, it’s crazy how things used to be so fun and interesting and now it’s only progressing in getting worse lol
Yeah, I feel like with all award shows there used to be this prestige to them, and all the best-of-the-best would attend. It seems that now a lot a popular artist don’t go to them anymore, and it’s more of a status symbol to not attend the award shows (or at least with the artist that are in music)
I liked the BTS performance
The BBMAs was honestly the most fun of all of these pandemic award shows. I know that's not saying much but it was the first time in a long time I enjoyed and felt excited by an award show as it was happening.
Is it me or are award shows becoming more outdated? Especially with the pandemic situation. Most of them have become so boring.
Literally the only intresting thing about bbmas this year was BTS and doja and sza's performance

I would literally sit down four hours before and watch red carpet events and stuff and now I genuinely couldn't care less :( it was fun for me back then idk what happened

I feel like it has a lot to do with the blurring of lines between influencers and celebrities. It started with youtubers and instagram influencers which was bad enough and then they started inviting tik tokers to important red carpet events, all of which don’t have the same elevated sense of style that actual celebrities have or can pay stylists to have.

Dixie usually looks uncomfortable on red carpets but she seemed like she was feeling herself in that dress so I think it was her biggest success so far and I like the makeup which finally felt youthful and flattering
i agree!! it might have been basic/simple, but she seemed comfortable and confident in that dress so im honestly just happy for her

I don't follow Megan's career, but I do know she's had 3 kids, and she came to slay. So gotta give props to that. People should where whatever they feel like, but as a viewer I must say the red carpet is the time for *M O M E N T S,* and there's times I feel like it's just lazy when a paid stylist and/or team has one job to do, and it wasn't done well.

@@kerrybee1327 I was thinking that at first too but like what he said in the Addison video: it doesn't need to be incredibly glamorous and over the top and the best fashion out there but it needs to be chic AT LEAST, which is what I appreciate from Kaia. Overall, the same looks pretty much lol
@@kerrybee1327 I liked it because that's actually her style and the paparazzi pictures we see of her are all variations of the outfits she wore in the video. Not everything has to be glamorous, it's not red carpet fashion so it makes sense for it to be "dull" and celebs are humans too and most humans dress fairly normal during off days as well.
