Dude is so insufferable, uses the marker as a prop and keeps messing with his hair. Just share the damn clothes and oh yeah maybe this time around don't promote the "race to the bottom" like you were the last time you were doing this.
Still one of the best reselling channels out there. Even after time away, your videos do not feel like they waste my time just to pad out view time, like so many other channels. I always feel like I actually learn something.
Matt, back from the beach and ready to clothes surf the thrift racks. As Roddenberry once said “Cool”. Glad you are back. You may be the only Manifesto author who is not wanted by the government. I still refer to my copies from time to time. But brands have changed. Robert Graham has always been one of my favs yet the prices have tanked. But Im a sucker and still buy them.
One thing that has helped my with “clutter” within my reselling business is setting an amount that I want to make per item. THIS IS HARD, but I’m happier in my home. I only buy things that will potentially get me $30 (after my cost AND site commissions). This obviously eliminates most “bread & butter”, but it gives me peace and I am actually making more money! I also shop A LOT more, which is the fun part. Maybe this would work for you, too. Thank you for all the great things you’ve taught me. I appreciate you!
I'm so glad you're back. You are so good at what you do... (this)! I'm glad you rested. We missed you! We love you! You are definitely a breath of fresh air!!!!!!! WB!❤❤❤
I had a Robert Graham with that exact print but it was a XL. My mom sold it for about $30 on Poshmark. I found it at a local thrift store that I picked it up for like $7.99ish price
Immediately subbed because of the first thing you mentioned. I’ve been studying and researching mainly clothes for 3-4 months and started reselling full time just a month ago. I’ve always dealt with pain but in the past 2 years I’ve had to endure excruciating chronic pain in my neck back and joints. Doctors always said to lose weight and you’ll feel better and in the past 2 years I’ve went from 320lbs to 169lbs and it’s only gotten worse throughout that weight loss. Reselling is now a big passion of mine and I have to make myself get up and go through the listing process. Pictures is of course the hardest on my body. Regardless I love everything about reselling so I’m not gonna let it stop me
Age and genes and an overactive lifestyle has left me with a bad back, among other things,Merlin. I hate the picture taking part, also. I enjoy researching and reselling also, but most days I don’t get much done.
This is going to sound cliche, like an Oprah Book of the Month comeback story. With all seriousness though, thrifting and reselling saved my life. And you good sir were the best in providing the startup knowledge necessary for success. It’s only been three months, but the distance I have traveled from the dark abyss of three years of depression have been monumental in restoring joy in my life. Never discount the value of dopamine. Those little shots to the dome when you find treasures. Whether it’s a $25 bread and butter Ralph Lauren or $300 cashmere Brunello Cuccinelli, it all helps the same. Welcome back and thank you for the inspiration. And the dry wit high brow humor.
Model of the Columbia PFG, Pronounced "tammy-yami", its the name of a street in Miami that goes out into the Everglades, Tamiami Trail. You are so funny!
Top notch reseller with a constant bonus vocab lesson. You really should consider your own printed toilet paper line! -- my phone won't let me add a meme, but I'd pick Joey on Friends with his gift of "Word of the day tp" -- and he was so happy! 😂
followed you for a long time on another account. But I think this is a perfect example of taking time, vacation or break from your work. I know your health forced you into the break. But you sound so enthusiastic and excited to return to work. I hope you rock it and manage the burn out and physical pain. Thanks for sharing your journey!!
Glad to see you back Matt! You were one of the first channels I watched when I was learning about reselling. I’ll be anxious to hear your opinions on reselling today.
Welcome back to the US, and reselling! I look forward to an "ass brand" eyeglasses camera video, if you find the time. They always made me laugh, because those are 99% of the brands available where I Live. Good Luck, the vintage stuff is still out there waiting to be found.
Hi, I started selling again on eBay July 1st after 4 years away. I’m having a ball and have sold 99 items in 7 weeks. I do have over 7000 reviews so I’m experienced. But boy is I easier than before. I just joined your channel to watch how you do.Have fun.
I thinks it's a good idea to start a whole new store. A lot of older stores have been having issues with "glitches" and other nonsense. It's good to see you back in action. ❤
Mick, thanks for nudging handsome Matt back! Matt, glad you are feeling better, you were missed. I had a big ole grin when i saw the video notification pop up; you are the best to watch and learn from in terms of breadth and value of knowledge, succintness, and humor! (Keep the items you love; afterall you can still list them if you change your mind.😉)
I been looking for you to be back. Even if it’s not as upscale as before, it is addictive. Just don’t burn yourself out. We don’t want you leaving again.
i remember seeing your vids long time ago.. i have been collecting items to resell and i have quite a lot (good for me !) but somehow you inspired me and i will start my eBay adventure... maybe we could share notes lol! good luck and all the best! from Toronto 🇨🇦
So good to see you! And you look great! I missed you. I have to go to your book channel. I read my first scyti book when I was 13, in 1954. It was Needle by Hal Clement. My father pointed it out to me. After that I read his Astounding Science Fiftion mags and the other one as so9n as they came into the house. I got h9me beforehand got home from work! I still read it. Asimov was my hero.
Congrats on the Sci fi books venture. Very happy to see this video in my feed. I still have s section in my notes of advice from you that I refer to. Mostly brands to look out for. Thank you.
I took time off at the beginning of this year for about 4 months to care for an elderly sibling. After the touch and go of her recovery was past and my time became mostly free, I got really unhappy without my buying and selling. I did need the break after many years but it does have elements that make me feel better. Turning 5 dollars into 10 dollars is a kind of magic trick. When you turn 5 into much more, its a lift. No mystery to me that I started to get unhappy. I was in a position where I did not have to work. I always wondered how I would react to that and I found out. Work is important to me.
Its good tgat you missed reselling. You took a break, had some adventures, got refreshed. You have a whole different and healthier attitude now. Happy for you! 👏👏
I'm glad to see you back and very happy to hear that your health is improved so that you can sell on eBay again. Don't overdo it and take breaks from listing when you need to! Looking forward to seeing more vids from you, but NO PRESSURE!
So glad to see you back! I missed your videos. You were the first youtuber I watched to get me into reselling and here I am 2-3 years later still doing it lol. I still watch your older videos for refreshers here and there but it was awesome to see that you had uploaded a new video and even more exciting seeing you holding up the goodwill bag in the video main photo lol
Hey Oh my gosh!! We all misssed you, you are the bomb! So glad you are here again! You make me smile, I remember watching you when I first started, so I have a soft touch for you! Glad you are back!
I started reselling sometime while you were out and your videos helped out so much, thank you. Happy to see you back at it again. If I could like this video twice I would.
Excited to see you back! If I might make a suggestion, I probably wouldn't start the new store totally from scratch. I did this last year and it was pretty slow and demoralizing. I combined the stores back together and stuff immediately sold that had been languishing in the new store.
The man. The myth. The legend. Welcome back!
Dude is so insufferable, uses the marker as a prop and keeps messing with his hair. Just share the damn clothes and oh yeah maybe this time around don't promote the "race to the bottom" like you were the last time you were doing this.
SWEET! This part of your life has missed you!
to anyone passing thru .Subscribe .this guy is a wealth of knowledge ..
We do give a 💩 about the back story
Glad to see you back
Once a resllers, always a reseller. Good to have you back.
Still one of the best reselling channels out there. Even after time away, your videos do not feel like they waste my time just to pad out view time, like so many other channels.
I always feel like I actually learn something.
I second this comment! Yay! Matt's back!
Welcome back! It’s not necessary to scale up every damn thing! Do what feels good and keeps you healthy.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉so glad you’re back 😊
Exactly.
Matt, back from the beach and ready to clothes surf the thrift racks. As Roddenberry once said “Cool”. Glad you are back. You may be the only Manifesto author who is not wanted by the government. Hell yes. The thinking man’s reseller is back!
Perfect description!
Love “I don’t remember buying this?” LOL. My life
That part of a western shirt is a "yoke". Nice to see you again.
I'm so glad you're back. You are so good at what you do... (this)! I'm glad you rested. We missed you! We love you! You are definitely a breath of fresh air!!!!!!! WB!❤❤❤
You can take Matt out of the thrift store but you can’t take the thrift store out of Matt. 💪
The heros journey, the return to right back where he started.
Matt!!!!! 1:17 We have missed you, and ThriftaLife too!
I had a Robert Graham with that exact print but it was a XL. My mom sold it for about $30 on Poshmark. I found it at a local thrift store that I picked it up for like $7.99ish price
Ironic that I was watching despite your waning optimism and now you're back brimming with it!
Love your attitude. "I feel like I'm talking like I went to war." 🤣

Merlin you are in my prayers.
Pray, and ask Jesus to heal you.
Age and genes and an overactive lifestyle has left me with a bad back, among other things,Merlin. I hate the picture taking part, also. I enjoy researching and reselling also, but most days I don’t get much done.
Have you been checked for Lyme disease?

Haha! Yes, Matt, I also appreciate your dry wit and highbrow humor!
You seem happier. I'm so excited that you'll be sharing with us. Welcome back.

This Boston girl missed you Matt. And BTW, it's always fishing season somewhere.
My man! Tired of rewatching old videos! Haha
I miss your videos.
I've learned a lot watching them. glad you're back 👏
Some times a break is good for the soul.
Good to see ya back
He’s back, let’s fucking gooooooo
Glad to see you back Matt! You were one of the first channels I watched when I was learning about reselling. I’ll be anxious to hear your opinions on reselling today.
NIce see you back.
12:14 That pattern does resemble paisley, but it also is a little Tudor or Elizabethan or Jacobean IMHO. Maybe chintz also.
Matt from Thrift A Lift Is Back ! Life is good again 🥰 Missed your vids .
Big yard stick reveal! Glad to see you back
So glad you are selling again! Goodwill is crazy these days! Prices have gone way up!
You look so happy.

So glad you’re back, you always had the best info and advice for selling clothing.
I like the back story. Living the dream being able to travel and still do this.
Mick, thanks for nudging handsome Matt back! Matt, glad you are feeling better, you were missed. I had a big ole grin when i saw the video notification pop up; you are the best to watch and learn from in terms of breadth and value of knowledge, succintness, and humor! Great to see you back selling clothes. The word you are searching for is “Yoke”, the term for the top area of western shirts or jackets.
So happy to see you!! You taught me how to clean shoes!! Lol! I live in chronic pain too so I hear ya!!! I hope you're feeling better sweetie!
Welcome back!
Thank you, Mick!!!! I'm so happy to see you back!

I’m glad to see you back online. I really enjoyed your travel vids too. Be well❤
A brand new shop. I'm interested to see how that goes. There is a lot of chatter about old shops and their function or lack there of.
Hope you got some good chiropractic care for your pain. When your spine is out of alignment, all kinds of bad things can appear. Best of luck.
i remember seeing your vids long time ago.. i have been collecting items to resell and i have quite a lot (good for me !) but somehow you inspired me and i will start my eBay adventure... maybe we could share notes lol! good luck and all the best! from Toronto 🇨🇦
Good luck. Same here. Haven’t taken the plunge but am getting ready.
So glad to see you back!!! I am restarting after a break, as well, so I am glad to have a fellow restarting friend!!

So happy for you. I don’t think any reseller who truly loves thrifting can ever really go cold turkey forever! Glad your health is feeling better. 😊
Welcome back!!! You certainly was missed!!! They are called Yokes on the western pearl snaps:)
FINALLY HES BACK!!
We all need a handsome or gorgeous pile. Welcome back!

Glad you’re back , btw. That “oooo this feels good!” Lol
I started reselling sometime while you were out and your videos helped out so much, thank you. Happy to see you back at it again. If I could like this video twice I would.
Hell yeah. What one small closet or bin can produce is amazing if you know how to sell high-velocity products. Keep it small, keep it fun!
Whatever makes you happy, do more of it!! Never give up on something you’re passionate about!
I am so thrilled that you are back. I was sad to see you go when you stopped Ebay. Welcome back! Hope this means your health is better. 🎉🎉
Matt,
So glad you are back ! 👏👏👏👏
Glad to see you back! You look great.
Excited for you!!! Welcome back!!! 🎉🎊
Glad you’re back. Missed your thrifting videos!
Welcome back. You were missed.
Welcome back. Wishing you the best with the new ebay store. Thanks as always for the great content.
Excited to see you back! If I might make a suggestion, I probably wouldn't start the new store totally from scratch. I did this last year and it was pretty slow and demoralizing. I combined the stores back together and stuff immediately sold that had been languishing in the new store.
This just feels right
Lets go! I have had similar...on again off again relationship with ebay...but the thill of the hunt sucks me back in no matter how long the break!
Western shirt fronts known as yolks. Welcome back!!
Oh my favorite expert who I respect so much! I heard you were back as Justin shouted you out!!
I wish you nothing but success!! 🎉
Yeaaaaa!!!!! So glad to see you😊
