I just started playing ED last week and i have to say your tutorials are IMMENSELY HELPFUL... can't help but still feel lost in this massive game though
YAY! An updated mining tutorial :D I've been looking forward to this. Mining may not necessarily make as much as trading/etc but learning to fly FA:OFF in the asteroids, while making some credits while doing it, and it's so peaceful... Priceless! Thanks for the update!
both are easy to avoid: one - learn how to fly two - don't go into an asteroid belt and stay near the RES point. Just fly away before you start mining. I usually don't start mining until I'm at least 20km away from the RES. That and I mine in a Cobra, Asp, or Python. see the point there? I can easily defend myself while mining :D
Man, your tutorials helped me as a new player ..... I just got the game and have no idea on what to do even after I did the tutorial. This explains so much in mining
+Zidders Roofurry Thank you muchly! It's greatly appreciated though this one wasn't soooo bad... My Ultimate Piracy Tutorial was a killer though having to rely on random encounters and chasing down other players.
Commander ChaosWulff This made me want to play the game though I'm a sucker for space trucking in general. I have 100 hours in Rebel Galaxy already and most of it's been spent mining lol
Great tutorial, easy to understand especially for new players. The game has a really steep learning curve and can be intimidating. Your video explains all we need to know to start mining. Your hard work makes it easier for all of us to enjoy the game. Big thanks!
I think the real money in mining can be found in mining missions found at extraction/industrial stations. They pay quite well for small volumes of metals/minerals
+Reavermyst Your right it killed me when he didn't even check the bulletin Board for Panite, Platinum and Osmium. I typically get 64k for one Osmium. Just sold 3 Platinum for 234k 3 panite for 288k.
+Reavermyst Yeap. Doing both at same time is best way to maximize profits. Between grabbing missions before I leave and first thing when I get back then mining in between. I was netting around 1.2m-1.5m raw profit each run on just my Type 6. Granted i was camping out in the Frey system. Frey 4 Ring A is a Pristine Metallic ring with a Starport (Garratt Station) that orbits the same planet, 69 ls from the ring to be exact. I was also heavily relying on Prospectors and only mining asteroids with 35%+ Osmium, Gold, Platnium, Palladium or Painite. Garratt Station also pays about 15% above the Galactic average on all metals and minerals.
Njikan 4 A Ring in Njikan has pristine rings with high value metals and minerals. Platinum, Palladium and Painite are in abundance. This is the system to be at if you want to make high profits. You can sell your haul in Aulin if you are looking for a buyer that will give you the most CR for it. With a 20ly jump range it's about 4+ jumps from Njikan.
I am currently using a Federal Drop-ship. 4 medium mining lasers, 2 class 3 A collectors, 1 class 3 A prospector, 96 tons of cargo space, and a Class 2 B rating refinery. It strips asteroids quickly, and picks up the chunks quickly. I have made up to 2.5M Credits in a single run.
FYI, if you have nothing targetted and fire off a limpet it will keep gathering until it runs out (up to a few minutes), thus using one limpet for pulling a LOT of ore.
If you use a prospector limpet you can get quite a bit. And the collector limpets last a while. So, while they're collecting the remnants of one asteroid I'll start moving toward another.
Cobra is a fantastic tie-in between the Adder and the Type-6. Allows you to equip prospectors and class 2 collectors with double the cargo capacity of the Adder . The prospectors help maximize profits for sure and a great way to rack in money far faster than grinding to a Type-6 with just an Adder which you have to "roll the dice" with each asteroid. Don't forget to check the Bulletin Boards before departing and especially first thing upon landing, as there is often missions to turn in things you more than likely mined/will mine, More often than not it seems to be missions for Painite and Osmium.
Heh, that 55,555,639 CR there when browsing the ASP bro, should find a way to make it all 5's. Great video, I was actually hoping you'd make a new mining tutorial for the newer version of Elite, keep it up and hell do I feel like giving mining a try now. Delkar huh, thanks for giving me a clue where to get mining started at :P
I recently purchased the game (not Horizons) on a Steam sale and am now dabbling a little into mining after doing a few courier missions with the loaned sidewinder. I have had enough money to afford a Cobra MKIII and have upgraded it to 32T cargo hold and a few other things, like the prospector and collector limpets. My Refinery has 3 bins (only). I have to say that the yield so far has been quite underwhelming compared to running the courier missions with the side winder. However, what really attracts me to mining are two things: the money is almost "free" after you make your invested money back. Secondly, and I thing more importantly, I really love the view!!! I think it's so pretty to look at the star behind the asteroid you're mining or an belt around a planet (have yet to go to one). In fact, when I was reading through some of the Galnet articles, they had a piece about why mining and what's the attraction. One of the "selling point" in that article was how miners enjoy their independence and the view. So there, I got hooked. I like this video, and I almost spit out my lunch when I saw that Anaconda and how decked out it was. Not to mention the money that was made. Excellent video indeed.
+Kay Wrobel was using a type 6 for trading and a viper for bounty hunting. your description sold me to deck out my type 6 for mining as trading was getting boring real fast. have to say, the views are excellent, especially with a powerful graphics card
+Josh Hill Hi. Yeah, I've since upgrade from my Cobra to a Type-6, then a Type-7 and now a Python. Right now, I'm actually sticking with the Python because for trading, it is the biggest ship that can still land on m-sized landing pads. I did have a lot of trading fun with the Type-6, and the Type-7 wasn't too bad either. Also since my comment here, I've purchased Horizons. So naturally I spent some time getting down on planet surfaces and fooling around with the rover. I'm currently taking a little break from the game as I just purchased Batman Arkham Knight. But I will get back to Elite after the Engineers upgrade hits. Those new graphics upgrades look fantastic. Also, I might, maybe, save up for a Type-9 and see how trading goes with that bad boy, though it is L-pads only. The Python is a really nice ship I think. I love flying it. So I might actually save up to get the Type-9 as a second ship!
+Kay Wrobel just after my first reply I went and tried mining but was attacked and almost destroyed, any survivability tips. glad your having a good time with horizons, it is really quite fun
Josh Hill Hmmm. Yeah, I never actually got attacked *while* mining, though I did get attacked recently as I was dropping out of supercruise into the asteroid belt of a planet. One thing you might wanna look out for is to set down on a belt far away from any RES. Also, if you see anything on your radar, no matter how faint, I would consider getting to a different area of the belt. Finally, I'd make sure that you have a strong shield and even some shield boosters in your utility slots. If you have multiple hard points available, I'd get at least one laser so you can defend yourself. Then again, you have a Type-6, which maneuvers pretty badly compared to other ships. So your best bet might be to immediately stop mining and get out of the area as fast as you can by boosting yourself away from the attacker. Again, I never had this happen to me while mining. I'm pretty sure I'd pee in my diaper if that happened, as I am usually in a pretty relaxed mood at the time. Also, if it is possible, since the Type-6 has much more storage than my Cobra had, you might want to look at getting an A-rated refinary that has 6 bins and 2 limpet controllers (you are using collector limpets, right?). With two collector limpet controllers in place, you can collect more stuff faster. I used to have a collector limpet and a prospector limpet at the beginning. I found the propector limpet to be more of a waste in the end. On my most recent mining run, I simply start shooting at the asteroid and then check the contacts panel to see what the chunks contain. Hope this helps.
Josh Hill Also, don't even bother with anything less than Gold. It is *not* worth it. And try to focus maybe on the smaller non-moving asteroids. They often contain stuff like Osmium, Platinum, Palladium, and even Painite, which we all know is pretty rare.
I also made my anaconda set up for mining once. i had 320 tons of cargo in a metallic ring and left out all bertrandite and Gallite fragments and got 6 million Credits out of the mining tour. but i was on the ring for 2.5 hours so you get really nice profit but it takes time. But it´s fun from time to time.
nice tutorial I'm thinking on b getting into mining I just started the game at the beginning of the month and just started getting the hasn't of it last night. this game is becoming addictive
the only part that confused me about mining is the only part you didnt describe. how does the refining process work? do colect it and wait for it to be refined or do youz have to collect enough of that material for it to be refined.
Austin Hiler I thought I covered that... Admittedly in passing rather than specifically... You have to collect enough of a single material to fill the bin (Bring it to 100%) and it is then deposited into your cargo hold.
Great video lots of good information, I just bought the game yesterday waiting for joystick to come in the mail to be able to play it. Is mining a more profitable way to get credits faster then bounty hunting per hour as a starting ship? I would like to get that 368T ship looked like eyecandy
Dragunov121 Endri Mining can be a good money maker if you're picky abut what you actually mine... But Tradeing is still the best after you get into a Type 6.
yes and after you mine for 5 hours you get scanned and killed by a pirate with misseles ! or you are hypercruising and BANG !! ITERDICTION !!! its so risky but i manage to mine 6 tons of painite and gold and platinum and got over 400k in about 2 hours ... ! got so lucky !
The problem there is that you can pretty much make this much by tagging an single Anaconda that the feds are attacking in a resource extraction site. The feds do all of the work and you take the bounty, win win. It kind of relegates mining.
Would a cobra Mk4 be good for this? I realise most people dislike the MK4 but it seems that if you're not looking for combat it's actually pretty nice be it for exploration, trading or perhaps mining as well.
I spent about 2 hours mining in my Type 6, with a 4 bin refinery... I got 16 refined stuff... I went back to a station, sold it for about 100k... .-. Am I doing something wrong? I was at a Prestine metallic RES. I made about 2 million credits just by smuggling slaves in about 2 hours.
+TonyGAMING nope, that's just how mining is sadly but if you're getting Palladium and Platinum in a T9 which has 404-500 cargo space and one of those goes for 16-19k well then that's alot of money but then again you might make more trading than you can in the time it takes to fill that much cargo space up.
+TonyGAMING What you could do, if they didn't change anything, is to see which metals and minerals sell for the highest, then use a prospector limpet to check the asteroids to see if the asteroid has what you want, then mine. If you do that with say Gold, Palladium, and Platinum, your maximizing the amount you can earn from mining, although, it will take more time. But, you play Elite: Dangerous............
+TonyGAMING It sounds like you are just taking everything you get, meaning you are filling cargo slots up with low profit metals/minerals, which you get alot of regardless where you mine. Trick is to be strategic with collector limpets and USE PROSPECTORS to save time by only mining where the good stuffs are based on your prospector limpets. The other trick is to make sure you are checking the bulletin board before departure and first thing upon docking/landing especially. Often times there will be a mission to turn in X of something you just mined for ALOT more credits.
Hey so I asked to join your private group and idk what else I should do to get in? Do I just want to wait until you allow me in or do I need to do something else?
Thank you for video. I want to ask is there any problem with pirates in belts wihen you are in ship without weapons? Only mining laser. Mining in annie should be pretty easy. Strong shields and many weapons :D
Ruslan Zamaletdinow Well if you're only in a hauler the risk is a little greater... I would recommend finding a good asteroid belt over a RES as there are way fewer NPCs there.
Commander ChaosWulff pretty nice bonus just from trying to mine I could imagine you just standing still while your turrets blew the pirates out of galaxy
Is there a handy way to know if shipyard that has the Adder in stock also has all the other stuff ChaosWulff is buying? I'd like to try mining and the Adder seems like a good starting point.
Once upon a time when the dev's didn't realize we'd settle for 1/100th of their promises they were going to have ships look like their profession, mining ships were going to look very different and dusty and grimey etc. wish we got dirty mining. Mining isn't very worthwhile though. Still.
The only thing the Anaconda isn't the best is Bounty Hunting because of the respawn delay and it's slow movement & turn rate and it shares it's place in trading with the Python because of the medium pads. But the Python is a very good miner too (and from what I heard the Clipper as well): coriolis.io/outfit/python/06A5D5A4D7A6D5C0o0o0o2m2m04040400050505CeCe1v0240P4.Iw18eQ==.AwiMIyukg=== You have a lot of collector drones ready if you need them and you can send out several prospectors instead of just one which makes finding valuable rocks a lot faster as it is in the smaller ships. I personally think they should add a dedicated mining class for ships though, horrible for most other tasks but with a lot of utility slots (especially for the lower tiers of ships which I think are a bit lacking with all the things you need). I currently consider to check out mining again as well, just got a A+ Vulture for combat, A+ Asp for exploration and ~100 million credits, thinking about a second Asp for this which should be decent enough and not too annoying. But maybe I'll wait for the upcoming Fed ships. Edit: Updated the build a bit for the upcoming changes for prospector drones which hopefully let us sit at one rock for a longer time. And here a build if you don't want to risk it in RESs but somewhere randomly in the belt (also a lot cheaper ...). coriolis.io/outfit/python/04A5D5A4D7A6D5C---2m2m00000000050505CeCe1v0240P4.Iw18eQ==.AwiMIyukg===
I equpped my type 9 to mine using many monies. Needless to say it was a complete waste of my time because apparently metals and painite are ridiculously hard to find
Commander ChaosWulff I've already hauled just about 500,000 Cr with just my Adder, and then a Cobra Mk III. Time consuming but you can get good money. Though now I just space truck with a type 6 :)
+Joshua Kramley (Kramster) If you have a refinery in your ship and scoop chunks of mined ore if you get enough of the same type it will refine into a ton of that material.
It's a shame there's nothing in this video that isn't in EVERY other mining video. No one really touches on the protips or math break downs including opportunity cost, and how ineffective and broken mining is. They just repeat the same old crap that's been in every video since beta. :(
+James Elder There is a default keybind that I cannot remember, (You'll find it in the control menu) but there is another way as well and that is to look over to the right hand menu under functions and you should be able to deploy it from there... But that is the long-winded way, the keybind is better... I don't remember what it is set to as default as I haven't used it for ages.
No. To properly mine, you need at least a mining laser, 8 slot cargo bay, refinery, prospector limpet and collector limpet. Sidewinder can't get all that. I recommend the Adder, its cheap, it can fit all that and it also has a medium hardpoint for that mining laser and two small ones for self-defense.
+FLIP C Just gotta find a good place to mine and a close port that buys the metal, if you want maximum profit however, that is a problem because you will more than likely have to travel quite far for best prices. I'm just going to go somewhere a couple jumps away from my mining location that buys metals at reasonable prices. It's not the most viable way of making money, probably one of the least, if not least viable, but it's still fun and it's good to change up once in a while. Use the Type-6 Transporter if you're having trouble, it's quite fast and if you give in to interdictions, your FSD kicks in far quicker and you have a better chance of getting away, if not try in solo play first and once you feel confident, go into open play. That's what I do when I'm getting pirated quite a bit in my location. I only mine for fun and some change from bounty hunting though.
+FLIP C try ETA AQUARII there is a station called LEE DOCK and above it is a small planet with PRISTINE reserves and METALIC ring type and that is the best that any1 would look for and there u can easily find the most expensive metals and minerals > large quantities also ive found quite a lot of PAINITE there and as u know thats the best selling mineral in the game so all u gotta do is get some limpet controllers a good amount of cargo and a good refinery preferrably 4 bins or more 3 could do as well and u just mine and go back to the station the distance is only 0.24LS . For about 30 mins u can easily make half a million with a full cargo and thats assuming u got 32 cargo space. I also think this is faster than bounty hunting mainly because the area does not spawn any AI's and its quite far away from the usual start point when u start the game so u wont get attacked. Also i think its faster than bounty hunting because to get money through bounties u gotta find criminals, then fight them and there is no guarantee they r going to give u a large sum or CR unless u have a warrant scanner but even then u could die and lose all your credits and finding criminals isnt that easy and in a lot of cases ur ship will be outmatched unless ur really far into the game and u have the more advanced heavy fighters. Mining on the other hand in a peaceful area such as the one i suggested guarantees u a good sum of CR each time u go back to the dock and mining is relaxing too :) so id say go for it! hope this helps
I'll definitely look into that. Thats the problem I was having mostly, finding that prime spot close to a station without having to fly so far with high chances of interdiction. T6 wasnt too expensive to set up but mine is 400LY away right now. Probably buy another and give it a go :) THANKS!
FLIP C i started playing this game a few days ago but ive seen some tutorials and i know quick ways to start from the sidewinder > first thing i did was go to KREMAINN system and go to high extraction site and there i helped the FEDS kill some criminals which gave me over 300k credits and i bought a cobra MKII for 345k then i upgraded some things to suit mining and then i went to the place i told u about and today is the first day actually i have had an effective mining run i spent about 40 mins mining. First run i had 50% cargo and i made 250k CR and the second time i had 80% cargo and i made 350k CR and both runs took me about 40 mins mining time and about 2 mins traveling and its a 100% safe path so i would say this is more effective and quicker than bounty hunting
Asgardians3t lol KREMAINN... I have actual enemies there that fire on sight. That is where I have made millions upon millions from bounty hunting. My T6 is near there as well. That was a really good place to make bounty money. I believe the corp that hates me so much was Crimson something lol... :)
Good tutorial, however, i felt it ramble on a bit in the beginning.... just the points please. I felt like nodding off a bit a few times. Everything else was great!
Lesha Lyushen It depends on what you want from the game. I assume you are more into the action side? I tried mining early on when I first got the game. There was something incredibly atmospheric about the whole process .Watching two other ships mining in the background and having the planet as a backdrop was such a great experience. I might go back to mining once I have enough credits to make some proper money from it.
I just started playing ED last week and i have to say your tutorials are IMMENSELY HELPFUL... can't help but still feel lost in this massive game though
+Elliott Parks Aye, it's a big 'un ;)
Not tried mining before, kinda hyped to try it after watching this.

Michael Novak Did you not read the game description before you bought it?
Zidders Roofurry as a RG player myself, this one is like RG on steroids.

Great video! Ice mining must've gotten a bit of alteration. I've made quite a decent amount of money from it over the past two months.
Thanks for the tutorial. I think I'm going to make my asp into a long range miner now that we have jaques
you can outfit for mining once you get there. just bring a good power plant and distributor
Thanks for this I've just started to mine in game this really helps :)
Ah Delkar. Might not be my home for much longer - we'll see!
A5 FSDs are kinda rare. There are some in Sol though. Specifically in the Abraham Lincoln dock around Earth. they cost about 5.5 million.
nice tutorial I'm thinking on b getting into mining I just started the game at the beginning of the month and just started getting the hasn't of it last night. this game is becoming addictive
+MrCabledawg45 It really IS that ;)
You can fit modules with power requeriment above 100% limit using module priorities
fantastic tutorial, thanks dude
Thanks for the nice tutorial. Subscribed!
Thanks for accepting my friend request on steam. I hope you don't mind if I shoot you a question every now and then.
Recently outfitted my Clipper for mining lol. Basically the most fancy rock collector ever :p
Great video, going to mine some silver for the new Colonia CG
What's the intro soundtrack? I really like it. Great video, by the way!
the only part that confused me about mining is the only part you didnt describe. how does the refining process work? do colect it and wait for it to be refined or do youz have to collect enough of that material for it to be refined.
Austin Hiler I thought I covered that... Admittedly in passing rather than specifically... You have to collect enough of a single material to fill the bin (Bring it to 100%) and it is then deposited into your cargo hold.
On Metal Rich vs Metallic: Metal Rich implies metal-rich stone. Metallic implies pure metal.
Thank you for the info
Another great a very detailed vid :) would the asp being red have anything to do with red dwarf?
andrewsupernova Hehe, I believe I've been busted ;)
yes and after you mine for 5 hours you get scanned and killed by a pirate with misseles ! or you are hypercruising and BANG !!
Good job learned alot
Yaaaaaaaaaay, my prayers got heard :D
Would a cobra Mk4 be good for this? I realise most people dislike the MK4 but it seems that if you're not looking for combat it's actually pretty nice be it for exploration, trading or perhaps mining as well.
+Hawke Frost Aye, the Mk IV would be a fairly good mining ship, It wasn't released at time of recording so that's why it wasn't included
thank u for that video sir !
This is a problem I have encountered as well.
Hey so I asked to join your private group and idk what else I should do to get in? Do I just want to wait until you allow me in or do I need to do something else?
BluehazardGAming I have accepted all pending requests so if you sent one then you should be in now.
I bough the same ship as you but i can't buy a mining laser? did something happend after a update?
Nvm I chanched to a bigger station and i got it.
Thank you!! Although a bit 'older'-tutorial; worth gold for a n00b like me.
I've also heard a cobra is a decent mining ship
I am new to this game I need to know how to do all this
Limpets ! Thanks a ton! lol (pun was literally not intended but I think that's a potential pun xD)
Thank you friend
hmm, didn't include any bounties you got from fighting off the pirates as part of that 3 hours of profits?
GretchenDawntreader Nope... I completely forgot about those bounties... If I remember rightly they ware around 250K
what do i do when it says resources allocated and the only option is to vent.
*unallocated
+John II7 Nothing... the process has been further automated in a previous patch so you don't need to personally allocate/process materials
I baught them, but it doesn't allow me to have any ammo? halp?
+Hawk Go to the munitions tab in the starport services
Thanks
Thank you for video. I want to ask is there any problem with pirates in belts wihen you are in ship without weapons? Only mining laser.
Mining in annie should be pretty easy. Strong shields and many weapons :D
Ruslan Zamaletdinow Well if you're only in a hauler the risk is a little greater... I would recommend finding a good asteroid belt over a RES as there are way fewer NPCs there.
Commander ChaosWulffi was curios how much money did you make in bounties from killing all those pirates
wispering deathh Aye, I forgot about that... It was around 200K only as I didn't have a Kill Warrant Scanner.
Commander ChaosWulff pretty nice bonus just from trying to mine I could imagine you just standing still while your turrets blew the pirates out of galaxy
You need to do a new tutorial that includes limpets. :)
With the current (not beta) engineers update didn't they update ice rings now so that they're useful?
Yes they did.
i'm wondering if the asp scout would be somewhat better at mining, due to it's (slightly) higher maneuverability.
+Michiel Kudova Could be but the internals aren't as good... Not to mention it wasn't in the game when I made this video ;)
Commander ChaosWulff only reason i ask is because it just seems like an inferior ship...why not give it some purpose.
Its not counter-intuitive metal rich means there is alot of metals. Metallic means its MADE of metal so it has more metals.
How long do the mineral take to refine?
i want to build a mining orca
It has style
Just Subbed and liked!
Is there a handy way to know if shipyard that has the Adder in stock also has all the other stuff ChaosWulff is buying?
I'd like to try mining and the Adder seems like a good starting point.
+GreatgoatonFire the best place to check is eddb.io
Alright I'll do that, thanks a bunch for taking the time to answer my question.
great vid, tnx :)
Once upon a time when the dev's didn't realize we'd settle for 1/100th of their promises they were going to have ships look like their profession, mining ships were going to look very different and dusty and grimey etc. wish we got dirty mining. Mining isn't very worthwhile though. Still.
i only have 1 utility mount and it doesn't have mining laser, i'm using the falcon
Mining lasers go on weapon hardpoints.
The only thing the Anaconda isn't the best is Bounty Hunting because of the respawn delay and it's slow movement & turn rate and it shares it's place in trading with the Python because of the medium pads.
But the Python is a very good miner too (and from what I heard the Clipper as well):

You have a lot of collector drones ready if you need them and you can send out several prospectors instead of just one which makes finding valuable rocks a lot faster as it is in the smaller ships.
Edit:
Updated the build a bit for the upcoming changes for prospector drones which hopefully let us sit at one rock for a longer time.
And here a build if you don't want to risk it in RESs but somewhere randomly in the belt (also a lot cheaper ...).

best miner in my opinion is the clipper
+mikey adalbert I was just looking at ships and that is my goal right now. I'm in a cobra right now.
really? i would have thought the anaconda.
to hard to move around the minefield at any real speed
I when I mine I get so little percentage
Well, thank you very much for this guide! I'm freakin' rich
out of date but still good
How much did it cost to set up the annaconda?
Sadly I can't remember that one but here is one I would use now: eddp.co/u/HR9soqBA
Price should be in there.
I equpped my type 9 to mine using many monies. Needless to say it was a complete waste of my time because apparently metals and painite are ridiculously hard to find
:P That greatly depends on where you go.
Commander ChaosWulff I've already hauled just about 500,000 Cr with just my Adder, and then a Cobra Mk III. Time consuming but you can get good money. Though now I just space truck with a type 6 :)
+Commander ChaosWulff I'm a bounty hunter by trade but I need some Cr so I'm going to try to mine
How do you make a tone of ore?
+Joshua Kramley (Kramster) If you have a refinery in your ship and scoop chunks of mined ore if you get enough of the same type it will refine into a ton of that material.
thx interesting just give me the idea how mining wörks
It's a shame there's nothing in this video that isn't in EVERY other mining video. No one really touches on the protips or math break downs including opportunity cost, and how ineffective and broken mining is. They just repeat the same old crap that's been in every video since beta. :(
How do i activate my cargo scop
+James Elder There is a default keybind that I cannot remember, (You'll find it in the control menu) but there is another way as well and that is to look over to the right hand menu under functions and you should be able to deploy it from there... But that is the long-winded way, the keybind is better... I don't remember what it is set to as default as I haven't used it for ages.
Im starting Mining on a sidewinder is that good enough?
I would do some other missions first to get a slightly better ship. Of course it's possible, but you really don't have much cargo space :)
No. To properly mine, you need at least a mining laser, 8 slot cargo bay, refinery, prospector limpet and collector limpet. Sidewinder can't get all that. I recommend the Adder, its cheap, it can fit all that and it also has a medium hardpoint for that mining laser and two small ones for self-defense.
tried mining in the KEELBACK... HORRIBLE! can not avoid interdictions and will be destroyed very quickly.
Fail at 11:53 it is 12k not 12mil
miningk? ringk? maybe its just me hearing that
hey dont get me wrong man great video great voice over really well done, its just those little sounds of your dialect messing me with me XD
first disslike just cuse nice video I like it
Saitek X52 Pro ;-)
Good tutorial, however, i felt it ramble on a bit in the beginning.... just the points please. I felt like nodding off a bit a few times. Everything else was great!
redacted
Shity part of the game
Lesha Lyushen Then don't do it.
