It's funny that this comes out two days after Jon's Saturday stream became a 100% Mario Party stream, and that Jon is also planning to play yet more games of Mario Party in a couple days on Wednesday.
@@Alfonso162008 Yeah. But Emile had it kinda rough when playing that game for the first time. And He's still constantly discovering more things wrong with it making him hating it even more. I think he's just frustrated and worried that Paper Mario, a game he's fondly passionate about, is constantly going down this path. And the fact Color Splash and Origami King though maybe okay games just isn't really helping much.
@@bnagalaxywarrior1079 I mean, I'm not faulting him for hating the game, he can do that all he wants and for whatever reasons, but he's the one who's always bringing that up, and for no special reason at all. If you don't like something, you can't be bringing that up almost 10 years later if someone doesn't ask you. That's not healthy.
I’ll admit, I hate Sticker Star just as much as him, and he does go on a bit too much about it sometimes. It’s one thing if someone brings it up, but sometimes he brings it up himself for no reason other than to bitch.
I dunno if I'd say a lot of the frustration comes from 'difficulty'. I'd say a lot of it comes from mini-games being unbalanced or just flat-out RNG. And of course Eternal Star's always been a mess due to how the stars are given out where you'll sometimes just get fucked over after handing over 20 coins.
God, steering trg play Mario party is so good. I know they’re playing a lot of orange juice but I hope they get back to the main party board game. What’ll it be, 9? The car...
I’m with Jon as well I hate Mario Party 1 it is the worst one on the N64 in my opinion Mario Party 3 is the best one on the N64, no one can change my opinion.
Mario Party 1 is certainly the worst Mario Party console game, almost entirely due to terrible design. At least 9 and 10 weren't intentionally designed to cause damage to your hands, which makes them better automatically.
I dunno man. The control stick spinning mini-games are certain terrible and I’m not going to defend them at all, but there’s only three of them out of close to 50. MP1’s boards are also pretty good and the music rocks, which is more than I can say for 10 at least (MP9’s mini-games I actually quite like, you’re just not going to play them because of how the boards are designed). I also really can’t stress enough how much MP5 is just an RNG-ridden slog. There’s so many terrible mini-games in that one and they had already broken a perfectly fine item system that took until the next game to fix again. I’d easily play MP1 over 5.
@@cartooncritic7045 Am I the only one who feels you play the minigames in Mario Party 9 too much? I swear you seem to get one every time someone gets a bonus die after a certain point
@@cartooncritic7045 To me, the fact that the japanese commericals actively advertised that you were indeed supposed to use the palm of your hands to spin the stick makes it a poor game. Yes, there might only be 4, but any game that is poorly designed as a game and causes physical harm rates lower then a lukewarm game. As for boards, that's more subjective. At the very least, superstars reminds you not to, but it's still stupid they added one in. I'd easily rather play 5, a mediocre game over 1, a game that forgot that humans have hands made out of flesh that can bleed.
@@varietygamer95 The way MP9 is structured means how often you play mini-games is determined by RNG, since you could go a whole game playing very little of them or just get a ton in a row for no real reason. So I could see both of our experiences being true here.
@@dragozeronova I can’t rate MP1 lower than MP5 because everything else about 1 is just outright more fun and enjoyable to me than 5. And was like "oh boy, a saga of Jon roasting Mario."
I mean, that would be cool to watch

Jon: rolls 8
also Jon: TIM TIM TIM!!!!!

Emile, Stephen and i: laughing
Koopa Kid: rolls 10

I’d say so
Outer Space Stabhouse: A stellar experience at terminal velocity, or vice versa!
