That was a well presented. I clearly understand it's complexity without excessive detail. Nice light!

As a fellow flashlight lover and fellow cat lover, I humbly suggest that you only test moonlight / eco mode on your cat as cats have way more sensitive eyes. 🐱🙂
I'm currently deciding between these two, so thanks for the nice comparison. I also watched your FC11 review. SC31 Pro is only available in 6500K right now in my location, while FC11 in 5000K high CRI is available, so I might go for that. Plus it comes with the magnetic tail cap at no extra cost. I just wish the FC11 came in colors other than black, which is so hard to find in the dark. I end up using glow in the dark mods.

Hi there, you are right with the cat. 5000K is really better than 6500K for most EDC applications. Cold white is only ok for something tactical mostly to blind. Other than that I see little point in sttling for cold light.

That thing is pretty sweet! Love the size too. Ive really been needing to do more gear reviews. The knives just keep piling up so I really haven't had the chance. Great video!🍻

Great awesome light-power and functionality in a nice and decent "dwarf"! 👍 I also like a lot the slim and handy form-factor. Thank you for the once again interesting and informative video!

Are their tubes interchangeable? I plan to get the sofirn31 pro to swap tubes with my TS11, which was previously swapped with the FC11. I figured if the tubes are interchangable, then it would probably fit no problem to the TS11.

An excellent review. I've had the SC31PRO for some time now. Its a great little flashlight. I have quite a few other flashlights, so I use mine for an electronic candle. I bought a magnetic tailcap and a diffuser. However, the light is quite white. To combat this I put a rubber glove finger on the diffuser to give me the colour that I wanted. Which was a kind of yellowish hue. However, if you wanted to you could use any colour of glove that you would like.
I cut the finger off the glove, making sure that I had enough of the finger left over to tuck underneath the diffuser when fitting it to the flashlight. To me it was a good solution. Keep up the good work.

Thank you! The heat does not melt the glove material? I was thinking of printing diffusors with PLA but the heat on turbo might be too much. LG, Markus

The Sofirn is more sophisticated and includes charging; if you like a tailswitch you must go for the Convoy. Based on years of real world flashlight experience: I'd go with the Convoy!

@@joseantoniovarelarigueira1974 they are very different lights. It seems you are looking for a really bright light so go with the IF25. The bigger battery and emitter setup will give you more light for a longer time and it can sink the heat better. There is a version of the IF25 that lets you change the light color, great for photography and stuff.

the magnet thing is weird. are they that expensive

    • @craigs7181

You probably already looked up the price of the magnetic tail caps, but incase you didn't, I just ordered 3 magnetic tail caps at the end of December directly from Sofirn along with 3 flashlights and they were 99 cents a piece on sale. However, they ask that you purchase something else and not just order the tail caps because they are selling them below cost at 99 cents. A lot of big discounts still going on but ending shortly.
The SC31 Pro is an excellent light, but you must do the temperature calibration on the light for it to operate the way it was designed to. I have at least 8 lights with Anduril and I don't think any of them were properly calibrated at the factory. Some were fairly close and some were way off. Once you learn Anduril, you will appreciate all it has to offer.

@@craigs7181 Thanks for the advice. I have no problem with the temperature since I use it mostly in short bursts.
