hey I appreciate it! I did a review of the sofirn sp33 v3 on my other channel, spent even more time making that one. ruclips.net/video/yqDwNzm7lfk/видео.html
I just buy it today & i still learning to figure out to master the function . i like your review cuz its help a lot , its so confusing for me to read the manual . My friend recommend this model he has more than 10 collection of flashlight/torchlight . I work as delivery guy food and parcel at night so i need to use this flashlight to find my customer house number & also check my delivery bag so i will not miss any item or food . Sorry for my bad english anyway . Done subscribe :D
Hey glad the review is helpful! Yeah its a bit confusing at first, but the controls make a lot of sense once you get use to them, i used mine all the time at work, it has always worked great, seems to be very reliable
Great review and explanation of all its functionality. Thank you. I am waiting to receive mine from Amazon and will be heading off with it on a motorcycle camping trip shortly.
Rumor has it there's 100 more secret clicks only known by the manufacturer. Lol Great review. I have the Olight Warrior X. Nice light. I like the magnetic charging cable.
hahaha you never know 😅 thanks! I looked that one up, neat light, it has vibration to let you know the battery is low! never seen that before. hopefully the olight magnetic charging cable is better than the one on my old Imalent HR70 it never wants to stay connected. they made them better though.
Anyone can find and download the advance setting sheet, just search for "anduril setting" on google.. now many powerful light such as astrolux, sofirn and emisar use this same UI, so its really convenient once understand how to set it.. i really like that we can tune the temperature stepdown as we like.
@@4WheelKid Good to know, I've ordered 2 of these from Aliexpress. I'm waiting for them to arrive. I couldn't choose between the green and red one so I decided to order both 😇🤪
The wurkkos hd15 headlamp tube and clip fit this light, makes it a lot shorter and sleeker in its design, plus the hd15 is a great headlamp with an led for throw and an led for spill. Give it a look. Great video 👍
hey thanks for the sub going to do more flashlight reviews in the future on this channel. just got the sp36 in 5000k, pretty disappointed because it's not as bright as I would have thought. I think the 6500k version has the 8000 lumens and the 5000k is way dimmer, I think ill get the 6500k version as well to compare. it's sad they don't say anything about it on their website
@@4WheelKid on my other sst40 light such as ft03, the sst40 5000k and 6500k did not have noticeable brightness different..maybe you should try calibrate the ambient temperature setting first, but you need to use thermometer or just guessing and know your surrounding temp in celcius.. anduril sometime if not calibrate that surrounding temp, it will stepdown from turbo too soon.. i noticed it on my sp36pro also, it seems solve mine.. one more thing you should charge each batteries using external charger (not using the usb port on flashlight body) for the first time to balance the voltage, if just charge via that light built-in usb port, all 3 battery voltage will not be equal, the build in charger will cutoff the charging when one of the batteries reach 4.1volt even when the other two battery voltage still not full enough and make the light less perform.. just want to share it with you, try the charges method first and see how it perform,
for sure! can be quite complicated but also simple for just the basic operation. I have used it almost every day at work no issues. the main advanced feature I use is the voltage blinks so I know how much battery is left
I’ve just got this light, it is a great light, before, I’ve bought a few Olights in their flash sales’ (way too expensive for me at normal price😩😢). I was looking at their new lantern, which was very much a let down compared to their usual fare. Someone in the comments section of a RUclips review of it put me onto Sofirn’s BLF LT1 lantern, a collaboration between the Budget Light Forum and Sofirn to come up with the perfect lantern, and what a lantern it is!!! It has all the features of this torch, it works on the same Anduril operating system. Well worth checking out. My only complaint is, it’s a wee bit heavy for my wild camping if I have to walk any distance, it weighs 0.78kg, 1lb 11.5oz. The features really make it worth the pain and suffering though!😁. It has a variable tint between warmwhite (2.700K) and neutralwhite (5.000K) which is very cool and useful, it makes candle mode incredibly authentic. I love putting on the lightening mode whilst listening to a nature sounds track of thunder and lightening with rainstorms, I can’t wait to try it in the woods, in my lavvu- will have to wait for the end of lockdown for that experience though!😩🥲. I was thinking that this torch is a very lightweight version of the lantern once I get the diffuser (had to order it from Sofirn in China, to the UK). It is a shame it doesn’t do the variable tint thing though, maybe some coloured plastic film over the diffuser would work for candle mode? By the way, I believe the turbo mode should last 2 or 2.5 minutes, not 1. The temperature thing controls when the turbo switches off, when it detects it has got too hot it switches down. As yours is calibrated too low, it is switching off too early, if you calibrate it, turbo will last longer, although you have to use an accurate thermometer to calibrate it against, if you go too far the other way, it will get too hot and damage the circuitry, probably better to err on the low side. Anyway, great review, you have a new subscriber.😁
Hey thanks for the comment! well said. I really like the sofirn lights, very well made and reliable in my experience, I have dropped this one so many times at work and it always just works. the battery lasts a really long time too. I want that lantern! ill probably pick one up for this summer. seems great, I'll probably do a review on the sp36 pro soon, I got the 5000k and the 6500k is ordered. I found out that the 5000k is not nearly as bright as the 6500k even thought they don't say that anywhere. yeah too bad they don't make an amber color diffuser. yeah I will have to do that. the anduril UI is super cool. it's easy to get use to. thanks for watching and subscribing.!
I can't remember if this one does. I want to say no and only is red while charging. the battery lasts so long, i'm still using this light every day at work.
the sc31 pro is a bit brighter. I also like the soft button better on the sc31 pro because it doesn't tent to turn on in my pocket. the sp31 v2 has fewer features and is easier to learn how to use. been using the sc31 pro almost every day at work. still works great. both of them seem like good lights though. also the v2 has a tail cap switch and the pro does not
@@anggarya20 I think this may be true. I just got the sp36 pro in 5000k instead of 6500k it says 8000 lumens on their website, but it's only slightly brighter than the sc31pro in 6500k which is 2000 lumens. for sure not 4 times brighter. I do like the color temp but unfortunately, it's way dimmer than the 6500k led drivers. very unfortunate they don't explain this on their website.
Wtf this light is so confusing! I have the SC31 B and was thinking to upgrade with this for the usb C. But after seeing how many useless clicks it has I think I'll pass. So from those 4 step mode in OFF mode can I acces the tactical strobe with 2 clicks and hold!?

Nah you have a photographic memory thanks for the reply lad after 4 yrs excellent review 😅 ☘️👍
Dint see the candle mode. Can you please show how the the candle mode works.
basically just flickers slightly like a candle
The main tube reversible. you unscrew the torch head and put it on the tail cap end and visa versa, so the clip faces the other way.
thanks! good call
Nice test!
Thank you! Cheers!
When the light is not in lock-out mode, with the light of, 7 clicks will change the button lighting modes

FYI the Sofirn IF25 is a variable tint torch if you're interested. I like it a lot as it's very compact for a 21700 torch. It's not Anduril UI though.

7 clicks to change button leds from off mode.
thanks! I found this out later on
What brand is your headlamp sir?
Its a sofirn sp40, works great! They have a couple different color temps I think
Oh also have Sofirn Hs40 and I love it. Thank you sir.
Could this be good for self defense in terms of flashing people
yeah it's pretty bright. the SP36 Pro is going to be way brighter but not as pocketable
Sofirn should add full stabilization
That would be cool but wouldnt work on the high brightnesses
