I'm only 3:00 into this video. The biggest problem I see currently that you're having to make this work properly is a flawed methodology. Hear me out. Heat is the biggest killer of magnetism for any magnets and when you're exposing them to that much heat from a hammer or a blender then they are going to seriously lose the majority of their magnetism. You need to cool them puppies down and keep them cool while you turn them into dust! I don't think a hammer or a blender is the right way to go. OR if you redo this experiment, then blend the magnets in a cold liquid to keep them cool.
Ive heard that LN2 makes the magnetism even stronger, so if they could blend, or even ball mill, them into a powder in LN2, couldn't it have a much strong magnetic pull? (assuming the LN2 does put such a sudden temp difference it shatters the glass)
Or just grind them slowly, like in a mill. If a powder is what this guy was going for, that would have been the best solution. Ask any welder how many metal filings get stuck on equipment, and tanks after grinding just regular mild steel all day.
