- Are you ready to learn about the lives of Africa’s billionaires? Today, we’re going to show you how the richest people in Africa live and show you exactly how much they are worth. Africa’s wealthiest own incredible homes, expensive private jets, and cool cars. Many of these billionaires made their fortune from oil and gas, construction, or diamond mining. There are now 18 billionaires living on the continent - that’s down slightly from a peak of 23 billionaires in 2018 but up significantly since the year 2000 when there were 0 billionaires living in Africa. The richest person in Africa is Nigerian business magnate Aliko Dangote. At the time of producing this video, he had a net worth of $12.4 billion. That’s 30% more than he was worth in 2020. The cause for this rise in wealth? Well, it’s because Dangote Cement’s share price rose considerably in the last year.. He founded the multinational cement manufacturer and it’s still his largest holding. At the time of producing this video, the company had a market cap of 4.17 trillion Nigerian Naira. Converted to US currency, that’s more than $10 billion. Africa’s massive infrastructure projects are making Dangote very rich. Africa’s second richest person is Egyptian businessman Nassef Onsi Sawiris. At the time of pricing this video, Sawiris had a net worth of $8.5 billion. He inherited his massive fortune from his father, who founded Orascom Construction. He’s now the CEO of Orascom as well as a supervisory director at Adidas. Ever since l was a little boy, l knew I would make it big, I still want to believe there is a place in this world for an ordinary boy like me😭
The world is for ordinary people, the money in the world is for extraordinary people

That awkward moment when you realize that several heads of state of the continent have fortunes that dwarf anything mentioned on this list.

You're right, it's obvious a lot of people remain poor due to ignorance, it's better to take risks and make sacrifices than to remain poor

I wish I knew about this Bitcoin trading earlier, brace up and get yourself some Bitcoin before it's too late
Obviously trading in bitcoin is very volatile and risky to trade that's the reason most traders trade with a company
"popping up left and right...18 billionaires, down from 23" what a contradictory statement
The comparison was from 2000 to now.
1 billionaire a year for a CONTINENT with over a billion people is ridiculously less. Singapore and Hong Kong have more billionaires each even though their population is a hundred time smaller. So it is over exaggerated
African "leaders" are billionaires..... I guess this video just limited the category to African Billionaires whose wealth can be traced to legitimate earnings 😉
Smart man
Billionaires in their country’s currencies 🤔
Those African leaders should face capital punishment though.
Not being funny but African billionheirs could at least give to the poor as the country is lacking in support.
@@user-kf8uh3ug7mAfrica is not a country
Africa is Richer than you think. There are more billionaires in Africa you don’t really know about
Exactly. According to Nigerian Obasanjo there is 25 US Dollar Billionaires in NIgeria alone. Also Dangote's networth is way higher than what's on forbes. Bloomberg claims it's 17 Billion but African magazine Ventures Africa claims it's 25 Billion. In 2014, before Naira crash, his networth was 23 Billion on forbes which made him the 23rd richest person in the world.
Yeah technically every president in Africa will be a billionaire after his or her term😂😂
Then there's the governments which people assume are very corrupt
So true almost all the country's in africa have billionaires

The world has taken a dynamic turn from a salary expectancy Era to a more capitalist approach. Everyone wants to be financially independent or successful. It depends on an individual to make a key decision for his or herself.
It is quite certain that everyone wants to monopolize a business or be actively involved in one or invest hugely in a business that will stand the test of time with guaranteed profit
We as African will get at the top too, in about 10 to 15 Africa won’t be same anymore. There’s a lot of mega if not more millions with of projects under construction in a lot of countries and cities. ❤️🇺🇬🤞🏾
i hope, but i dont think that.
Nice sharing, keep safe and may God bless you always.

At a time like this, some are wondering whether bitcoin is a good investment. Anyone considering investing should remember that all investments involve some risks, whether they're stocks, commodities, or Cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin.
For real is bitcoin a good investment? I'd love to have a diversified growth portfolio of about ($50k -$100k) that I can be aggressive with
Bitcoin's price has risen more than 60% this year alone meanwhile, the S&P 500 has risen 3%, investors have piled into bitcoin to hedge their portfolios. In these uncertain times, putting money in assets that are unrelated the traditional financial system seems like a good investment.
