Hey mate. My best substitute for buns I've come up with so far is Eggplant (Aubergines). Cut them into about 1.5cm rounds or cut lengthways to make more of a sub style sandwich. I find it helps to use a vegetable peeler to peel a few strips in the skin so as to make it easier to chew without having to wrestle an entire ring of skin on the outside. Then just salt them and cook them indirect at medium heat until done. Great flavour and still has a spongy bread-like texture.

I like the way you did the beef but when I make a protein burger I take a large chicken breast and cut it into, not length wise but sliced through the middle so you have two pieces the same and not as thick, and then make your burgers and at the same time fry the two chicken breast pieces and on one side I like to brown both pieces a little browner for the texture as these will be your buns outer sides and that will give you a better hold on the burger with your hands but let the chicken buns cool slightly before you make your burger.....Give it a try it makes a damn good all protein burger.....Love your videos brother.

Iceberg is great because you can "lay" the burger in it, a little easier than 2 pieces of lettuce ^^ Great vid! It must've been cold.

Oh god my granddad used to always suck out the bone marrow from the bone when he could and I could never bring myself to try it.
It's protein-rich fat. It's so full of flavour, absolutely delicious!
When i cook up some reindeer meat, i usually drop the bone marrow in the last 10mins so it just gets soften up. Super delicious!
Depending on what you cook, sometimes the bone marrow is the best part!

Why not season the mince just before forming the burgers so that it mixes evenly through the whole thing? That's usually what most chefs recommend.
I use big flakes of sea salt and I want them to break down on the outside of the burger. I don't want to bite into big chunks of salt.

for my protein burgers I use Oopsie Rolls, I make them with cream cheese and eggs. Just google for the recipe. They are great!
