    Solid Top+ Bevel + Fishman for 200 $? That's a no brainer... If they are easy to setup for low action they're a begginer's dream. Great video! Thanks!

    Very nice! I would love a baritone FF acoustic! The 338 baritone is fantastic.

    I do own Taylor, Gibson, and US Ovations. It is surprisingly close on the quality. The action is spot on. Time will tell how long it holds up.

      Seems to be holding up well. Changed string gauges and had to insert a under saddle shim for more perfect action.

    Bought mine 3 months ago love it! Also play a Gibson vintage country western. Would consider Epiphone j 45 as a good option also. 7:37

    I just got one... I love the instrument, but the fret job was awful... The ends were sharp to the hand and the frets were not level over the length of the fret board... I had fret repair done near me and it ended up costing me about the same as the guitar... so the guitar ended up costing me about 450... Strangely enough I'm happy with it, the sound is great, and it's playable now... Just be warned about the frets...

    I want to correct that the seller is Guitars Garden, not Gary’s Garden.

    Is this a 3/4 size acoustic guitar?

    This is not a case of lipstick on a pig, this is a player. I have one of these and love it. Does it sound as good as my Martin D18? No but it still sounds very good and it's so damn pretty. This is a GA, so it does not have the bottom end or volume of the bigger dreadnought. Out of the box the action on mine was too high, almost unplayable. It was easy to remedy however and get the low action I crave. I keep it in a case with a humidity pack and it stays in tune. The intonation is perfect. I've played quite a few affordable guitars and this is one of the standouts and an excellent value. My only concern would be a new player getting one with high action.

      I do adjust the saddle by sanding it down for better action. Extra bone bridge saddles can be purchased on Amazon 2 for about $7. in case you go too far on the adjustment.

    I asked Firefly about the nut width, but they never answered me.

    Sound volume too varied between guitar & voice-mic.

    I will say though it sounds great for the price. It’s not fair to compare it with a Martin Gibson or Taylor high-end model. But when you compare it to Guitar’s $500 and less it actually is a pretty good deal. As long as I can hold a tuning for more than a day, then I would give it my stamp of approval and as long as the action is not ridiculously high. You didn’t really talk much about that within the video but some cheaper models have terrible action. I know that could be resolved but you do have to remember Guitar is at this price point are going to be for beginners and a lot of them will not know how to do that.

      I bought one last year and the workmanship was fantastic. Action was great. Highly recommend

      What acoustic doesn't need tweaked neck relief, action and nut height

      I did make neck adjustments for string or fret buzz but that's typical as the wood is subject to indoor humidity.

    My guitar came with strings flat on the frets and fret ends sharp enough to cut skin all the way up the neck on both sides. NO ONE sets up these guitars before stuffing in a box. I'm returning mine immediately. Never in my life have I bought an unplayable guitar in such awful shape. I refuse to spend hundreds on a pro setup to "fix it." JUNK!

    To me this guitar kind of sounds cheap. Cheap guitars can have good mid tones for poor treble and bass. It’s kind of a reverse scope. I feel like this guitar has that type of sound signature. Almost like an inverted Martin.

    • @tommillan3582
      @tommillan3582  Год назад

      It’s hard to tell as it’s an iPhone video and limited sound EQ.

    • @Ksantipacat
      @Ksantipacat Год назад +2

      It's definitely a bright and mid sound, but as I was listening I felt like his recording setup did not do it justice. I have one, and it doesn't sound as rich and complex as my Taylor, but it is actually a respectable sounding guitar, and is often the first guitar reach for because of that arm carve. Very comfortable to play.

      @@Ksantipacat Thank for your comment. I have a Taylor 514CE that Iis Mahogany. The Fire Fly is a close replica. My Taylor costs 12 times the price of the Fire Fly.

      I also own a 514CE it's a great guitar, but is it worth 12 times the price of this Firefly?

      I get the cheap thing. A good guitarist can make any guitar sound good. I think we want to justify why we paid a lot for a guitar.
