I have been to 100's of shows, but this was it. This was the show I went to and said I will never go to a better show. 8 year layoff+halloween+mushrooms+Janes= best show ever
I felt the same way when I saw them in Roanoke, VA either in 1991, maybe 92. They were touring for Ritual which hadn't been out long. They definitely put on a hell of a show!
This is one of my favorite songs ever. And this song live on that night at that moment is one of the coolest moments ever, I'm glad it was captured on film. Just sucks I wasn't there!
u are right mate this performance is on another level..... tbh as a big dave fan its crazy to see how excited and comfortable he was at this tour after playing with the chilis heroin is a hell of a drug haha
I wish I had gone to this show. I lived not 20 minutes away and did some other nonsense that has been long forgotten. Today, I would give a lung to have gone to this show :(
This song is absolutely incredible…….. one of the songs which help mold as a preteen and every time I listening to it my entire life flashes before my eyes.
Most people can’t and shouldn’t do them forever, but - good God: during that period in which doing drugs remains good… they can be really, really, REALLY good!!
I know this is Hammerstein, but Roseland ruled the 90s in NYC. Nirvana, NIN, Rage, STP, RHCP, Porno for Pyros, and many more - no chairs, just total chaos. $35 bucks and people going wild - not beating each other up like moshing became, more like this incredible force of humanity caring for each other. This show is unreal w Flea - what a band. Perry in great form. Heaven on earth. Thank you Jane's Addiction.
I saw these guys at the first Lalapalooza, I was frying balls and I knew that I would love these guys till the end of time...Some bands use effects to mask how much they suck, I believe effects were made for these guys...
You can never catch the pure energy of a band recording a studio album. Yes the songs will sound great, etc, but when you hear or see it live, you truly feel the energy and emotions of them playing the songs together as a whole unit, and that can't be replicated in the studio.
LOL😂..they're So On 🔥 it blows the feed ta 8:47-esque rt after Perry smiles at Dave for what he's hearing n feeling like "Man..-Is this Good or What?!"-Kinda look...plus the pit pushing mtv out of the concert more or less cause they cut the brdcst I remember/packed up filming 1/2 way into 3 days.😂😟..I was livid.. Yep -even sans Avery, this was One "Hot Magic" of a Halloween 🎃 nite! Sadly I only had the Expression Session on Mtv vrsn to watch..never made it to Hammerstein ..love to see more of Miami date(s as I was in Sarasota at the time..👌👍🎶❤️✌🏻😉😁😷😎✌️✌🏽🇺🇸🌎🛌
I traveled up from Philly to see this show, which was a birthday present from my girlfriend We popped 2 tabs before the show and lost our costumes in the pit. I was the grim reaper. Great time, pure energy. Best Halloween ever!
We traveled down from New England for this show. 95 southbound all the way baby. We were just in our 20s and never ever saw anything so spectacular in our youth. And we saw a lot of great bands during the 90s. Summertime Rolls and Three Days were heavenly. Dave was a mess and smoked alot. I feared for him. He didn't stick around back much and looked quite miserable walking through the sea of people. But I decided to throw him a smile as he passed us and he smiled back. He's beautiful when he smiles. I'm so happy we still have them all with us. When there in it, it's just another concert of your most beloved bands but Jane's was an experience. Not just a performance.
I remember reading an article where Debbie Harry said, she tried to hail a cab and failed. This car was circling around and around and stopped. Debbie got in. It was Ted's car.. She said he smelled bad and the car was a mess. Ted had sawed off the inside, door handler. She managed to role down the widow and open the door from the outside and got out. She said when something doesn't feel or smell right, you get out of there fast Love the shit outta this song.
One of thee best performances sans Avery I've seen on this here innnernet..seems like the quick walk off after almost Implies Dave/Perry drugs n bj's butt buddy time..rock on either way..Flea held a big pt in this being a steady, solid Reunion i.m.o.
@MrSighdoom as a matter of fact; FLEA was a guest musician when this album was originally released in 1988 , just before the R.H.C. Peppers made it BIG . also Fishbone members were featured artists in this recording
Just trying to figure out just when Perry lost his voice. Well, his singing voice, anyways. It was a short time after this show. At least within a couple years. Did it shit the bed when he gave up heroin? He is absolutely awesome here.
As men age our voices naturally deepen. Robert Plant has had similar struggles. Leonard Cohen is another example of this. His voice must have dropped an octave from the 60s into the 80s. Also, these songs are extremely physically demanding. As an aside, I could have seen this show back in 97 and just couldn't get my shit together for it. I regret missing it as this was a killer set.
Best I've seen/hrd em since Avery...esp of a good ol fav Janes-y tune .one of the best bassists out there doesn't hurt for Relapse Tour.. Their Post Orig. lineup -Pinnacle imho..😁😉👌👋👍❤️✌️

Jane's live was always unbelievable..man I miss the 90's!!!

One of the absolute fucking best versions of this song I've ever seen. Perry was on his game that night!!! AS was Dave, and Stephen and Fleabag

Jane's Addiction ---- Tool. The 2 bands, who made my music rock :-)
'Cause you're a culture man

One of the top 10 best live performances of all time. Imho. My god!
i wish i was born earlier to have seen these guys in their prime
C*H*I*L*L*S*.... Never ceases to amaze me how Jane's songs often end up sounding better live...

This makes my ears feel satisfied...like after a big meal. There is no other like Perry Ferrell.
I love the flute in this so beautiful

I hadn't really heard much from Janes but after seeing them at the first lalapaloooza I knew I would love these guys forever.....
Dave N, Best guitar player ever.
what a pity you can't add more and more ad more, and(again) more likes to a masterpiece like this gold
perkins is so gooood, very fluid and solid. perry and dave look like their friend ecstacy came to play the show with them. haha
love this song... and this vidio!

Too beautiful for words!
Always great to see a crowd doing what they should be. Losing themselves.
Now they’re just terrified of losing their fucking phones.

WOW!!! Just wow!!!! F’n Awesome!!!
I love this version of Jane's. Why couldn't I have gone to this show??? Ho-hum
Dave throws out used vibrators instead of guitar picks. What a rock star. Spinal Tap moment.
This among many things, is the Ultimate Stephen Perkins showcase. 👌
WOW!!! This must have been a great show. I want to buy the whole show. I to see JA and NIN can't wait.
Out of control... Absolutely sick.

Ah Ted, just admit it!!!
Different eras, perhaps, but it's like the theatrics of Hawkwind at Stonehenge fused with some of Jimmy Page's guitar style. Very interesting.
I love them all but show Steven some more! Phenomenal drummer
Just fess up Ted.
omg they are soo fuckin lit!
Wish I was there for this one.
No.....It's Dave Navarro... on Bass, actually Flea!
