I had a mechanic replaced the control arms on my daughter's 2011 BMW328i. When she drove the car home and parked it in her regular parking spot, the bottom of the bumper scraped against the cement block that prevents cars to hit the wall. Upon backing up it riped even more of the bumper. I called the mechanic and asked him if changing the control arms could have affected the suspension height. Of course he denied it. The new control arms installed were not OEM parts, and I remember him telling me they were stronger. Could these arms be slightly longer, thus lowering the height of the car? Of course my daughter is pretty unhappy with this. I wonder if she should take the car to a BMW dealer and have them check if these control arms are the correct fit. Would appreciate some feedback.
