    I have those symptoms. Do you think it’s the starter motor if the car starts with jump leads ? Could it be the alternator instead?

    If it starts when the engine is cold but turns over very slowly when the engine is hot, the armature contacts are dirty. They should be a bright copper color and not black.

    From Porche all the way down to GMs the manufacturers decided to put starters under the plenum🤦‍♂️

    "grease the starter" What grease, einstein?

      The only grease is used in the planetary gear drive. Having rebuilt a few starters, I use Bel-Ray waterproof grease that I have used since 1986 on practically everything. It is thicker and will not thin out in heat.
