2:43 I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Japanese-American and male. This game and music takes me back to junior high! The Excitebike Song: "Mr. Randy is really really dandy, Why he is so dandy, We call him great!" "Mis..ster..Ran...dy!!"
LoL! That reminds me of Sonic the Hedgehog 1 Labyrinth Zone... "We're on a mission to.... Find prepositions! We're on a mission to.... Find prepositions!" I hated English but we must have heard a song like that somewhere and it stuck 😂
25:39 "Mr. Sandy is really really dandy! Why, he is so dandy, we call him great!" Then "Mi..ster....San....dy!!!" I was born in Seattle in 1973. I was finishing up 6th grade when I first saw this game at a 7-11, and then of course later the arcades!
Played this in Pennsylvania. I also was listening to hanging tough while playing this works really well this game. Also that was a reference to regular show too. with this game.
You have to wreck five opponents in a race without wrecking yourself. If you wreck, the count resets. If you finish the race without wrecking give opponents, the count resets for the next race. If you wreck while you’re “Dark Knievel”, you return to being “Regular Knievel”.
You are GREAT! I'm surprised I didn't see you run more bikes off the road, and get your Excitebike! Your First Place finishes are undeniable.
12:00 Ah, there it is!
Still my favorite and most nostalgic 😁😀 ExciteBike
Scored over 176,000 on this game. Gotta love the Vs. Unisystem 😎

almost like nes version
I didn't know it was an arcade game until today! The NES is just missing a few scenes but other wise pixel and sound perfect port!
nostalgia
What is the requirement for the Dark Knievel transformation?
You have to wreck five opponents in a race without wrecking yourself. If you wreck, the count resets. If you finish the race without wrecking give opponents, the count resets for the next race. If you wreck while you’re “Dark Knievel”, you return to being “Regular Knievel”.
4:07 Heart And Soul!
The 1980s were the days. 😎👍
Not sure what happens after beating Track #7 250 times. Probably loops back to Track #1.
You do have Extra Plays though, so you could show us how you did in the end, right?
I play this game sometimes!
Amazing! How did you do that?
Anyone know if this game is found on a certain pandora box? I’m trying to build an arcade version of excitebike
😺😺

Is it possible to beat that last level?
Level 7 repeats forever when you beat the qualifying standard. I did it for 20 hours straight in my longest game.
