I was already smiling when this video started, and my smile grew even wider when I saw the two versions of Vs. Excitebike. I feel as if the FDS version is the definitive version of the base game as it has both the gameplay mode from the original NES game and the Vs. mode from the arcade version, and it adds some new stuff such as the Edit mode and its own killer soundtrack.
The edit mode has been a thing since the NES / Famicom 1984 version of the game. Problem is, on any version that's not Famicom, you couldn't save any of your tracks
There are also a few sequels to this game, namely, BS Excitebike for the NSFC (Super Famicom), Excitebike 64 for the N64 (which was also made by the people that would later on make the World Series of Poker games along with Activision later on down the road), and Excite Truck for the Wii.
19:59 Who _are_ these strange men? Are they the Super Mario Bros. I've heard so much about? Also, no _ExciteBike: Bun Bun Mario Battle Stadium?_ Not even as a bonus? Why not?
Why are VS and FDS "Bonus" versions? You should have just put them chronologically. VS. was the first version I played in 85, so it shouldn't be considered an "obscure" version
Let’s Compare Excitebike 1: NES (1984) 2: Nec Pc 8001 Mkll Sr (1985) 3: Nec Pc 8801 (1985) 4: Sharp Mz 2500 (1985) 5: Sharp X1 (1985) 6: Playchoice 10 (1985) 7: Game Boy Advance (E Reader) (2002) 8: Game Boy Advance (2004) 9: Nintendo 3ds (2011) 10: Vs System (1984) 11: Famicom Disk System (1988) 12: Wii (2009)
It's amazing how only the oldest version for the NES still holds up well and emits some charme, whilst all other versions look really bad, even the ones emulated or remaked by Nintendo themselves for either a too big or too small screen, bad framerate, boring color palette or what else.... .....well, I guess there is a ryhming reason why the original NES and SNES cartridges are so damn expensive: They're still simply the best, even 30 years later.
It's amazing how much the old computers struggled with the physics of Excite Bike
Not so much the physics but they lacked hardware scrolling.
There's a level in Mario Kart 8 with a track that is based on this game.
Yeah there is!
With a fantastic rendition of the tune, as usual with that amazing band !
The NES version stands up really well to the competition.
I second that!
It stands up really well? In my opinion it blows all the others out of the water :)

FDS version also added a two-player mode. You can race your friends! We in the west were ROBBED, I tell ya!
@@esmooth919 NES didn't have a tape recorder.
I never knew about the Wii version. It sucks now knowing the Wii shop is permanently gone. But I do have the 3ds version which is still pretty cool.
Emulation or a jail broken wii / wiiu will do.
And don't forget BONUS - Excitebike 64 (Nintendo 64 - 2000)
There are also a few sequels to this game, namely, BS Excitebike for the NSFC (Super Famicom), Excitebike 64 for the N64 (which was also made by the people that would later on make the World Series of Poker games along with Activision later on down the road), and Excite Truck for the Wii.
Incredible game for a home console in 1984.
There were four at the pole position but later there's one million of them racing!!😂😂
懐かしいなぁ😃

Where's Excite Bike 64?
The best game I’ve ever played on the NES.
So aggressive to the other bikers! They have 8-bit feelings too!
No they don't. They will run your ass off the road too
I you forgot the full version of NES of the Excite Bike 64, was an unlock item of the game

14:29 what is "TFMP" or "TTMF"?
I'm not sure but I am missing the super Famicom version of Excitebike Mario with the satellaview
There's no archive of that, so yeah no.

The best game! Also super underrated.
Surprised Mario Excitebike from the Satellaview wasn’t on here.

15:35 Could Be Used Has A Good JumpScare
I wish the Wii version had the camera zoomed in more, everything is so tiny.
Wow you’re good at this game. I sucked at the NES version
Excitebike was used for late-80s or early-90s typical developing country kids before turned into MXGP fans or motocross fans, it had Arcade system
isn't a port of the game unlockable in excitebike64?
Nes original
Mi version favorita es la original, (en Disk System, la musica es una maravilla)...aunque la version de WiiWare es muuuy llamativa
Ah... Another Nintendo Classic

My favorite is the NES version, of course 😁
Me quedo con la versión de NES, Famicom Disk System y Wii.
man, when i played this i always do a backflip and a frontflip and end up failing

Don’t forget about Mario Kart 8 DX and Hot Wheels
PC-88 conversions are actually a pain to watch :/
It's a computer not designed for scrolling or heck, gaming itself. Saying that, this is definitely a good conversion for the PC-8801.
Every version is the best
The Sharp console was scarying me😨
I think it’s a PC
In VS you can play with friend 2player mode

Christ, those computer ports are pretty dire, ain't they?
Hey!, la version de FAMICOM se ve y escucha mejor que la de NES!.
