With Fabfilter, there are so many sound design possibilities that you can do almost anything and it’ll sound good as long as it challenges boundaries, makes musical sense and sits well within the mix. Opening a Fabfilter plugin on a track or group of tracks, for me, is like being a kid in a candy store❤
Just when I told myself that I don't need any more delay/reverb/eq/compressor/saturation plugins after upgrading to Saturn 2, Fabfilter come along and release this beauty. I loved the sound of Timeless 2, especially the saturation caused by extreme feedback, but I never gelled with its interface and the lack of a ping-pong mode (even though you could still get a ping-pong-like result) bugged me. I found myself using Waves H-Delay the most over the years, and more recently, Arturia's delay plugs. I'd only turn to Timeless 2 if I wanted something more experimental. The moment Dan used Timeless 3 as a reverb-like effect on that sawtooth convinced me to check out my FF account to see what the price is like with FF's loyalty discount! As it turns out, I DO need another delay plug-in...
Never knew exactly how to use Timeless 2 because it seemed to bloated and confusing, but now that Timeless 3 is out some of my other delay plugins will bite the dust for sure. Great job!
Fabfilter back at it again raising the bar for plugin design. It truly amazes me how they can make top of the line effects in basically every category.
8:15 What!!!! Awesome! You guys killed it as always Seeing how you constantly improve and innovate makes me even more excited for the next Pro MB and hopefully an ultimate fabfilter synth ;)
Oh, Dan's tutorial really tickle my brain! It's impossible to comprehend all of this in one-time watch, you should watch it again and again. So much to learn, so much inspiration!
ok this is the 3rd video im watching in a row from FF and im srsly gettin mind-blown by the sheer amount of possibilities i have in producing with these plugins ... wow
Been awaiting this video! Despite already being very happy with Echoboy and ValhallaDelay, I had to grab this one. The interface and workflow leads to very wild and interesting sounds. It is something unique. I love the two previously mentioned for going crazy with traditional delays and a bit of experimental stuff with Valhalla, but Timeless 3 feels like something new.
Every time I watch one of Dan’s videos I know it’s going to cost me money but it makes me feel intelligent when I do. Then, after downloading it and playing with it I realize it was an intelligent buy. Dan, you are simply the best! (and most expensive Ytuber!) 😁
The quality and functionality of FF plug-ins are just on a whole different level! Even the introduction videos are as detailed as the plug-ins thanks to Dan.
I thought well I have Timeless 2, I don't need 3. Watched the video, went straight to the FabFilter website to buy the upgrade. My goodness, you guys are incredible!
I never thought I would write this- “omg these are seriously expensive”- but after falling head-over-heels for Pro-Q 3, this was an instabuy. Thanks guys!
Thank you Fabfilter for another amazing, out of the box tool. I will finally make a "ball bounce" effect in a glimpse of an eye with this new "taps" and modulation parameters! I always dreamed of a delay like this!!! :-) Oh and Dan, you are the best in business mate! Thank you all!
I hope they're paying Dan Worrall the big bucks. He always makes me want to buy the product. I first saw him in a UVI demo. He's just amazing at demo'ing plugins.
Great video...without even mentioning the ducking feature. As someone who can't explain why I hate using a send to sidechain my ambiences, I immensely appreciate the ducking feature.
Haven't even used it yet but this video shows so much promise. Sounds like I don't need another delay plug in... Adding body to the snare with the snapback was genius, it sounded like snare wire
Another great sounding and very inspiring demo from Dan - instantly went over to the website and ordered Timeless 3! Looking forward to playing modulated delay/reverb designer! :-)
Wow, the interface looks great! It became very easy to use. It was really looking overwhelming in Timeless 2, which was the main reason i didnt wanna use it. Thanks for improving the interface, can't wait to try T3 !!
THANK YOU!!! TNice tutorials is such an amazing tutorial. I just got soft soft today and was playing around on it but had no clue how to really use it.
I was thinking I won’t need this because of cubase MultiTap delay but the GUI is beautiful and all the visual helpers. I love how serious they take the visuals it really helps with how my brain works.
Thanks! The third version of the plugin became many times better than the second: the second seemed too complicated and confusing; and the third is striking in its convenience and clarity, like all other Fabfilter plugins. Waiting for Twin 3🤘
Recently getting into more Fab stuff, and this is just so flexible. The pitch can be used for pleasant shimmers and drifting. Diffusion is also a nice touch.
Dammit, I wasn't going to get this plugin because I thought Valhalla Delay had covered all my needs. But the Tap editor and the flexible filtering options sold me!
I'm trying out T3. I think it's more of a replacement for XT, whereas it would compliment Valhalla Delay and/or Echoboy. I find Delay to be super easy to create basic and moderately complex delays (I LOVE the new Quartz mode!), but do see myself eventually getting T3 for the creative delays, replacing D16 Tekturon, for example. I think that, outside of specific tape emulations, a combo of T3 and either Delay or Echoboy would pretty much cover 95% of delay needs.
@@djsreja1 The number one thing is fast ease of use for basic delay functions. Valhalla Delay resizes text not just some UI elements and the background (Fabfilter's customer resizing is pretty good but falls a little short of what I'd consider to be actual resizing). The second thing is quick emulation methods - Valhalla Delay it's easy to choose to sound like tape, or a BBD, etc, whereas with T3 you have to architect it and save as a preset and then tweak. Valhalla Delay is like an amazing Delay pedal - few options to tweak at any given time, but always sounds good and interesting. T3 is, to me, akin to synths with lots of modulation and other options that really lets you dive deep and explore new worlds. Those aren't the synths I usually turn to when I just want to turn or push a few things and get some great sound. Different goals, different modes of operation. Don't get me wrong - I still bought Timeless3 last night :-) I also moved XT into my Less Used sub-folder in my Delays top-level folder, leaving, unsurprisingly, only Valhalla Delay and Timeless3 as my main delays I'll turn to first.
Genius work Fabfilter i was going for a much more expensive delay plugin before i saw this is the one i actually need it's even better than the pricier ones.
Aaaah, yes, this is exactly what I needed! I have the Fab Filter Reverb plugin, and that's nice, but mostly when you want to imitate an actual room. When I just wanted a clean reverb like a beat FX on a DJ Mixer I found it Pro-R very difficult to produce that. Now it looks like there is a plugin that can give me that effect and also gives me all the buttons I would need to tweak it! Really nice!
Dan is like the David Attenborough of plugins. Here is the newly discovered FabFilter species in it's natural territory.
100% fact
Best comment ever! Couldn’t agree more. It’s like watching a documentary on the Himalayan tiger. 🐅 😂
Hahaha 100% 👏🏼😍

excellent comment
"That's all for now" - the saddest part of every Dan Worrall tutorial
imagine how sick it would be if fabfilter made a DAW that also included with all the updated fabfilter plugins as stock. a man can dream, right?
I'm confident a fabfilter DAW would be absolutely game-changing!
i would ned it to be reaper-like though...
I know it's not Fabfilter, but Bitwig is definitely speaking a similar language. They both make good friends.
@@captainbrainless bitwig is awesome, i've always wanted to try it out.
Yo that’s a great idea!!

All of Fabfilter is timeless!
Not sure if I'm happier about finally getting standard FabFilter interface for the Timeless or about hearing Dan Worrall after a long while.
Dan's voice sounds huskier in this one. His Attenboroughification is developing. Just like wine, gets even better with time.

that pitch knob is worth the entire update. Magical.
Reminds me of Clearmountain’s Domain, which is great, because that plugin costs $350.

Same here. After seeing this review and soon after purchasing the 3 things have changed immensely.
It's good to hear from you again Mr. Worrall, thankyou for enlightening my producer's journey!
Visuals and features thats what makes fab filters unique and best .
Dan, simply the best of all of us.
I make music for many years and just discovered fabfilter and i have no words. Mindblowing.
best designed plugins + the most inspiring presenter
thnx for your work 💫
The most overdue-and welcome-Fabfilter update in a decade! Thanks for the brilliant introduction.
I really wanted to keep my money but now i have to get this and the new Volcano thanks to you!
Fabfilter back at it again raising the bar for plugin design. It truly amazes me how they can make top of the line effects in basically every category.
The design of the presentation is art on itself. But can’t be done without as great plug!
Another masterclass from Dan. And and Amazing plugin from Fabfilter’s team. Thank you guyz!
These parameters are mind blowing. I can’t believe how deep this goes.

So, we're just not gunna talk about how absolutely massive that 808 bassline was? :D Impressive stuff as always!
The music and continuity of this video are magical. Do you guys know if there is any place where I can listen to Dan's actual music?
You can find his music at soundcloud.
@@kb1629 Thanks for helping. I looked at his Soundcloud but all I could find was from 10 years ago, not the same style as the music of the video.
