I love the nuts and bolts. The way you made them was genius. It was great watching the kids enjoy them too. Awesome idea for coffee table decor. 👍👍 I stand with Ukraine❤️
*Brilliant!* This is by far one of my favorite videos-well done Nick. I'm also very glad to see that you're family is safe and doing well. To God be the glory.
I am amazed at your resiliency in continuing on during wartime. I'm am so happy that your children are still safe and growing. I love your video content. Thank you for all of it.
Absolutely brilliant periscope build! (at least that's what it looked like to me when the 'inspectors' started playing with it) So now you need an adjustable wrench .... ;-)
Intriguing that you made the tap with an old screw. Even more innovative is that you utilized the router as a copy milling machine. Good for you, and Ukraine, be strong and fight the good fight. Best wishes from Johannesburg, South Africa.
back on old time in Europe, people used to make threads by hand, my grandfather had a old wine press in Portugal, done this way using only a chisel and a mallet, amazing feat for an artisan! Amazing video!!
I’ve always loved wooden nuts and bolts. I’m interested to see what you’re doing with them. I was just starting to worry about you. I’m glad you are safe.
I did something similar with a trapezoidal TR20 threaded rod as a tap for making internal threads in wood. If I'll ever do it again, I will not choose a trapezoidal thread (like the one you use) again, but use a more typical 60 degree triangular thread profile (perhaps even a custom 90 degree thread). The trapezoidal profile has high cutting forces with the blunt ends of the tap. A triangular cross section should cut with less force. It should also be possible to use a thread cutting box with a simple cutting iron, not necessary to use a router. I found it impossible to make a cutter for a trapezoidal thread that would work in a thread box. Unfortunately there aren't commonly used metal threaded rods that would make a good wooden thread cutting tap, so it would be necessary to make a single point cutter for the external threads too. Awesome project, thanks for the video.
They look great I think they're probably from scaffold tubing supports that's the normal way of making large screw threads because as you say 40 or 50 mm diameter can cost you up to €500
You are so very talented! I hope the children enjoy the toys. Praying for Ukraine that Putin's campaign of terror will soon be over and permanently ended!
Nick, we want to see the wrench 🔧 that goes with these nuts and bolts...😂jk! 👋hey buddy, hope you are doing well. Always a great day when you post a video 👍👍 take care and Be Safe. Jay.
Well the inspectors really seemed to enjoy the nuts and bolts of this project. Was this just an exercise in how to make wooden nuts and bolts or do you have something special in mind for them in another upcoming project? Keep these videos coming please. It's good to see your family safe and well enjoying as normal a life as possible in these trying times. You're still in our prayers and thoughts and will be until this madness is over for you. Keep safe and stay well. Slava Ukraini!
You certainly are creative and resourceful as well as being very inventive. That made a cool toy (or a future design element for furniture). I would like to support your channel but you don't have RUclips Super Thanks. You might want to consider that. I know it is not easy in Ukraine and I would like to help. 🙏🏻🇺🇦❤ from 🇨🇦
Thank you for your support! In Ukraine, this service, like many others, is unavailable due to the war. Yes, now is a really difficult time for all Ukrainians. However, life goes on and we are sure of our victory, and the comments of my viewers inspire me for new projects.
Brilliant!! I love that the “inspectors” are playing on a table you made with toys you made.
They are two very blessed children!
🇺🇸 ❤ 🇺🇦
Very nice.
You should also do the wrench.
You had me wondering what you were making, until the end. Fantastic
I love the nuts and bolts. The way you made them was genius. It was great watching the kids enjoy them too.

Тепер справа за гайковими ключами (накидними, рожковими, головками і воротками з храповиками). Удачі!
Your understanding of how to accomplish these tasks is so impressive.
I amazed that you figured it out. Incredible.
Excellent work, great skills. You are an talent. Congratulation my friend!

A very good idea.
Super good work.
Many thanks
So neat glad the kids enjoyed them
Another fantastic piece of wood work and inspected by professionals.
This is so cool! Great job! I so badly want a giant wooden bolt and nut lol
That was fascinating! The thread tap was well made, but the way you cut the threads on the bolts was genius.
Трудное детство, деревянные игрушки)))
Excellent! That size threaded screw would be large enough and strong enough to use in making woodworking bench vises
Bro, you got some serious skills. And some serious toys too.
Using the router to cut those threads was a great idea. Very cool project and beautiful execution!
Always a pleasure to watch. You are my Inspiration to build my own stuff. Thx

Yes, I am also constantly reviewing and always fascinated by old woodworking techniques.
Very clever jig for making the threaded sections. Great work.

Very funny video Nick! A big hug for you and your kids!
Thanks!
Could you make a stool with screw on legs and a chair with all the parts screw on. By the way the wooden screw and nuts are beautiful. Great job.
Thank you, of course I will try to do something like that! ;)

Such lucky children.
You can make an adjustable wrench to tighten those.
Of course, if the need arises! :)
