Just keep having her do it because she is building stabilizing muscles and will be able to hold herself up in no time. I didn't teach Jordan this until 9 months, so you are getting a great start!
Nice Job Justin. She is a beauty for sure.....I pick up my grl in the morning. Once she is settled in i am going to work on her training and will post a video on her progress. Thanx for shareing...So nice to see someone spending so much time working with they're corso....They really are a Fantanstic breed.
thanx for sharing - just got my Cane Corso and I have a Shepherd as well - both dominant breeds...I am doing the basic training and so far he has been wonderful but he still tests the waters:)
Justin - your work with Jordan is SO inspiring. I have a 7 mo old CC that I got about 2 months ago. He is doing great - and seeing this video gives me something to shoot for! Thanks for sharing some of your tips - I've been wondering whether to treat, not treat, just praise etc...and it sounds like there is consistency with "reward for behavior" and "no reward for no behavior" then I'm on the right track. Thanks for posting! Hope to see more!
CONGRATS! what an awsome dog! getting my 8 week old CC pup in a few days and ive watched many videos on youtube but this has to be one of the best trained and smartest looking CC that ive seen so far!
That was amazing! Youre a great owner and Jordan is lovely. Look the way she watches you... The eye contact... I would love to have such a dog. Thank you so much for uploading your vids - I got to watch them all and share with my friends who also love dogs - they will be impressed for sure. Take care and give a nice pat to your dog from me, sitting here and watching your awesome dog in distant Poland ;)
Wow, good job! Again beautiful specimen you have there. My Corso has since passed, but mine was highly trainable and eager to please. Just an awesome breed that deserves more recognition amongst dog fanciers.
We have our first Cane Corso, Ludo, who is just over a year old now. I have had dogs most of my life but this dog, this breed, is one of the smartest, strongest, toughest, most loving, and most challenging that I have been around. He will take an arm off of anyone who threatens me or our household (he hates birds), but can't help but crawl up into my girlfriend's lap when we are watching tv. His vocabulary is amazing and we have to spell things around him to keep him from getting too excited...like WALK, or DOG PARK, or TURKEY NECK (he loves those frozen). Can't wait for him to mature, but I can't see myself not having a Cane Corso in my life. NOTE: this breed is not for new dog owners or those who can't handle a large, strong, dog with an independent personality...(in my opinion). Second NOTE: I can get mine to perform like this when I have a treat in my hand (no limit to the things I can teach him so far), but if there is no treat involved it becomes dicey. :)
Wicked awesome skills! Would you be able to share a little about how you taught her? We have a 8 month old Cane Corso and if I could get him to do a quarter of what your puppy is doing.
That is my 11 year old dog Harry who is a Chow Chow. He has sounded like that since we got him from the pound as a young dog. He's never bitten at anyone. In fact while he is sounding aggressive, he is always wagging his tail. He loves to be rubbed, and he licks my arms and hands back in return, but the whole time he is making a growling grunting sound, but is in no way aggressive towards anyone.
Would love tips on how to train my boy to do the walk and heel, tried training some today and he almost has it, he's very treat driven. I loved all the tricks. Cool.
Good job justin, It shows why dogs are man best friend, they will obey when properly trained and guard you with their life. I love the Cane Corso. When is she having anymore pups? I would love to buy one.
I actually suggest all of the above because if you train using just 1 method, they aren't going to perform for you unless you have something specific in return. I start training using treats, but normally stop using them soon after. The tone of your voice, your posture, and of course just loving your dogs go a long way. I don't use clickers because you need it in your hand to click at the exact moment of achievement. Instead I say YESSS.
Thanks nickel. I tought her to sit, stay, lay down, and stand at a little over 2 months old. You should teach the basics first and then start on advanced. I tought her something new after the basics at least every 2 weeks, and then reinforced everything shes learned. I start training with things she already knows, then spend about 5-10 min teaching a new trick, and then finish with things shes learned again. Finish Positive. It takes about 20 min a day to have your dog performing for everyone
hey justin i watched the video and that is amazing. i am going to be getting a cane corso soon and would like to know some tips on how to train it. i would like to know what to start with first, and the do's and don'ts because i would love to have mine trained to where it can take commands from me like yours does for you. awsome video, and any tips would be great
It is more work in public. To train on focus, I took her to pet stores and worked with her in the isles, at the park with other dogs and people around, and around very busy, noisy roads. But the initial training did take place in my living room. LOL
Treats.. clickers.. just plain hard love.. whats best for the corso.. my pup arrives in march and i'd appreciate any advise. Im new to the breed but have experience with german shepherds and they responded well with love.. are the corso similar as i dont fancy a stinky pocket full of treats
Hey man :) Your dog is amazing, I also have a cane corso puppy (3 months only) and I just wanted to ask you have you trained your dog by yourself or you have been taking a dog trainer ?
you did a great job! i have a 2 month old Cane Corso. is it too early to start on some of the advanced ones? how in the heck did u teach the prayer?? so cute!
i am totally shocked!!! i have a 3 month old cane corso. i would like to get my do to obey as much as your dog obeys you. is there any advise or tips you can give me to train my dog right. also dog you corso growl when you take her food away or even touch her food? please help me out .thank you and good work!
Your video is amazing. I have a 6 months cane corso at home and wish to teach him some of your tricks. Need some advise and suggestion from you. The peng (dead) trick was my favorite. Best wishes to you both 👍🏻
Hey I have a 4 month old cane Corso. We've started training and he's making good progress. I'd love to know how you trained your girl though. Any resources you could recommend?
Brilliant work with the dog man! I am planning on getting a corso in the spring, just doing my research right now. I've trained a couple of boxers in the past and had good success. Do you have any tips on working with corsos or any advice to give about the breed?
OMG… had to pause the video just say… AMAZING. I am going to meet my Cane Corso in about 3weeks. She will be nearly 12weeks old. I'm learning as much as I can by You Tubing. Any suggestions? I would love to teach her to follow demands just as Jordan. Also wanted to ask, I'm a very mushy person (lots of affection) but I don't see many of the Cane Corso owners showing extreme affection to some even seem to be a little apprehensive. Sorry so lengthy, I'm so excited. Thanks
Awesome dog! I get my female in 6.5 weeks. This will be my first Cane Corso I'm very excited to have such an intelligent breed. Was she the POL? Do you feed her raw diet? I love her prayers that's awesome man! Great job with her!
wow that's awesome!!! I hope my big boy will be just as well trained as Jordan. Quick question, how in the world did you train her I mean what's your secret lol
this is awesome! How long did it take you to train your dog to do these tricks? I have a cane corso she is 4 months. I have managed to get her to sit :)
Colleen Airall I started training Jordan at 12 weeks with the basics. Sit, stay, down, come, ect. I worked with her for about half hour everyday, teaching her something new every week. As she learned more, she began to WANT to learn new tricks and work. She new everything in this video by around 7 months. She will be four on June 8 and still surprises me of how smart she is. I swear she understands everything we say :)
This is normal behavior for a dog that age, btw. One thing that will help with pooing in the crate is make the crate only big enough for him to lie down in. Dogs don't poo where they lay, but again, at 12 weeks, she's going to have accidents. A dog normally eats it's own poo or other animals poo when it's diet is lacking either in quantity or substance. If you can, feed it real food, not bagged doggie cereal which mostly grains and filler. Grains are not part of a dogs natural diet at all.
Justin, my husband is looking to adopt a CC from a friend who can no longer keep the dog. The CC is 9 months old. We currently have a mastiff and want to know what is the best way to incorporate the new dog into our home?
Hey justin, I'm Ale. Thank you for the video. I have a cane corso amstaff mix. He's really smart, but God he's stubborn, We did training with him (my wife and I) and he does everything as long is food or goodie involved, otherwise he just does whatever. Any ideas? Thank you!!
hey justin my name is emilia and i have a cane corso. she is 1 years old and weighs 130... ive been trying to find a good trainer for her and everyone refuses me because she doesnt want no one around me or by me.... she has leash aggression and to be honest i need help... she is my everything and i need her to be calm around others.... what should i do...
I live in the city with a small city yard. You would need to spend a little time every day to walk and play with your dog to use up energy and to teach your dog what you want from him.
I don't use clickers because I'm cot consistent enough with them. Instead I say YESSS at the exact moment of praise. I've only found one way to train a dog. By being CONSISTENT. If you are prepared to be overwhelmingly consistent, then your dog will learn fast. However, if you train them consistently wrong, then you will have problems that can be reversed, but will take a lot more work.
She was the first dog that I have ever trained. I recorded this at 10 months old. She is now over 2 years old and has pups. I have learned a lot since then and will be making videos showing puppy training for obedience.
very beautiful pup.. we are getting one in about 4 weeks when she is ready to come home ... do you give her the treats after each trick or after she performs them all.. was just wondering because ive seen ppl do it both ways.
I used many treats to train until she had the tricks down really well and then started having her do 2 tricks to get a treat, and then 3 tricks, and kept going until she would do everything she new without treats, until the end.
he said a prayer..lol that was the cutest thing ever haha
Cane Corso is so beautiful , loyal dog. I got mine 2 months ago , and she is amazing .... This breed is amazing.
Just keep having her do it because she is building stabilizing muscles and will be able to hold herself up in no time. I didn't teach Jordan this until 9 months, so you are getting a great start!
I get my Cane Corso in 3 weeks right now he is exactly 5weeks old..I cant wait too bring him home..I hope I can train him as good as Jordan is!!
Beautiful well-trained Cane Corso!
Nice Job Justin. She is a beauty for sure.....I pick up my grl in the morning. Once she is settled in i am going to work on her training and will post a video on her progress. Thanx for shareing...So nice to see someone spending so much time working with they're corso....They really are a Fantanstic breed.
Great job training your Cane Corso. Excellent job.
Thank you.
I miss my cane corso's..what a great breed. We knew who to trust, by the way our cc's reacted .
Awesome!!!!! They are so happy to please! They are the working dog!!!! Love it! Go Jordan!!
I got to give it to you...I am very impressed!
Beautiful girl you have there! Respect for the obedience!
I have a 7 months old cane corso male and he is also extremely intelligent
very good control, good communication with her, the oinly thing i can complain about is the lighting in the video, good job
thanx for sharing - just got my Cane Corso and I have a Shepherd as well - both dominant breeds...I am doing the basic training and so far he has been wonderful but he still tests the waters:)
Say your Prayers!!!!! Luv it!

Very obedient!!! I'm getting a puppy at the end of January. Where do I begin to get my dog to this point?
Beautiful dog. Never realized how much they resemble the pitties. Why such a small amount of food?
J, how do u teach Jordan to pray? Amazing!!
Thanks Tkid. I am going to start uploading videos showing how I trained her because I've had a lot of people ask the same thing.

would you recommend cane corso for family with toddlers?
Hey dude my cane corso is 5 months. What do you think i should start teaching her?
How do you get their attention ? I really want to know please. I have a 5 month old cane corso named Tess :)
Who would dislike this video
Thank you Justin...

When did you start and how old is she in this video
TheMainVIP I started training her at 12-14 weeks old, and she's 9.5 months old in this video.
