Love how more people is doing this now. Only when I did it about a few months after the DLC came out, I allowed combat to be upgraded so I could at least have the combos. But HOLY CRAP.... later parts of the game and the DLC night stages will beat the ever loving crap out of you if you aren't good enough. It's also how I learned some things like the time to input commands to instant kill the minibosses is tied to the HP they have left, and the biggest saving grace? YOU CAN INFINITELY BLOCK WHILE IN UNLEASHED STATE! Thank god for that one thing, even if the bar doesn't last long. One of the Apotos night DLC stages has enemies with the highest stats in the game (yes, even higher than eggmanland, to where a max lv werehog might take a moment to kill them), and one of the other DLC stages (forgot where) has THREE midbosses you fight at ONCE (that giant enemy that spits out smaller ones).
It's not the _moves_ and _combos_ that really make a difference as much as it is the _raw strength_ I pity the fools (cough) who spent hours grinding to get more flashy combos while neglecting the Werehog's strength, unleashed bar, and defense to actually make those combos worthwhile to use. "Look at how awesome all these combos are! I feel so overpowered!!" _Does as much damage as a wet chili dog fart_ "Bleh I only have two or three combos unlocked, but at least I maxed out my strength" _Can kill every enemy in one hit_
this was cool asf, nice goin aerial piledriver 'n shield cancel are both pretty damn gud, 'n launchers always break self-guards too (self-guards as in when they be guardin wit they arms 'n not with a actual shield) would be cool to see a lv. 1 strength 'n max combat run of the game sometime
bro i was so dumb in this when i was a kid i never upgraded the werehog cuz it was pretty much mash to win and i didnt care about s rank this cost me almost 95 lives to beat eggmanland/dark gaia
10:19 it actually wasn’t the time that got you the A Rank, you just had 100 more rings than the previous attempt which equated to more points. A general rule of thumb to keep in mind is that rings have more of a significant more value compared to time
when playing this on xbox for the first time i somehow didn't realize i can upgrade my stats i guess and i went through all of mazuri night just thinking the game was unreasonably hard
seeing this quite late. I finished unleashed 2 times with no back tracking for sun medals. Thinking the mod i installed worked somehow (but i didnt the first time) ....nope. i just managed to collect all the required medals
