What about if you're putting them on a car with the battery under the rear seat? The kind that has the positive post under the hood but the actual battery is inside the car..
You skipped over literally the only important part: hooking it up to your battery
Use the rubber tips and wrap the exposed wire around terminals; positive/+ is red negative/- is black

Dope bro I got the Korjo underglow kit instead of these for my car but it looks like I may have made a mistake 😳 I have the Govee interior lights already and love them looks like I'm going to have to make a change 💯
I was just about to pick the Korjo ones you have over the Govee ones. The ones you got in another video same like they're brighter than these. Plus the most recent Govee strip lights we got for the house were really poor quality...
@Alton Merck the only reason I was liking these over mine is the customization options. Everything korjo has is presets which is alright but I want to be able to create my own scenes. But if they are not bright that is concerning.
@@tridelv702 I like how customizable the govee are, I got them anyway and put them on my van but they are way too small for a van they would be better suited for like a Civic or something that size

Great comprehensive video! Was awesome the way you showed how the app worked also. A lot of videos out there showing how to install but yours is the first I've seen go into detail on the app. I love how you can customize your own color schemes. So if it’s attached directly to your battery, you have to turn on and off your lights each time. Shouldn’t you wire it where they turn on when you turn on your car?
😂😂😂 NO!! Because you don't want them to turn, always turn on! Especially, most states outlaw them while driving. You want them on a constant power to turn off/on as you wish.

How did you make the rainbow DIY ?
Do the underglow remember whatever color was last used so that they turn on the previously used mode and color, or do you need to change it every time they turn on?

Great video, got myself a set and installed the lights, all works great yet I have a question that I can't find anywhere. Do you have issues with the underglow draining the battery with it connected straight to the battery?
No. It will drain just as much battery as it would if it were connected to a usb

Question, does the underglow turn off when you turn off the car? I know with some stuff ran to the battery will still get signal when the vehicle is turned off unless there’s a remote wire, but does the neons turn off when the car is turned off? Awesome install video!! Very useful!!
mine doesn’t. i think it would if it was on a fuse that turned off

If they are attached directly to your battery won't they constantly be draining it? Also, if you put the back lights above the exhaust, won't the exhaust melt them?
Actually exhaust melt wires so bad if u want to install try to keep all wires as far as you can
You like underglow, you should consider a Blueghozt controller. It's next level. But I will say that Govee makes some good stuff at decent prices. I liked the video 👍
The one I bought doesn’t have the rainbow mode is there a way that I can make the lights move like yours
use the custom diy mode with the colors in rainbow order and the clockwise mode. then set speed to the fastest and it’ll look like mine
When you put the red wire on the positive, did your strips lights ever went out? Bc I kinda need help over here 😅
nope they worked fine with both wires connected
Okay and my last problem is how you get them to stay? I tried to wrap the wires around the terminal but it’s not working

How exactly did you wire them to the battery?
i just put the wires under the bolts on the battery
Guys wire it directly into 12 volt or an add-a-fuse
Does it have to connect to the car battery
You can connect directly to the battery with an inline fuse or you can use an add-a-circuit fuse tap and jump off a switched fuse at your fuse box.

are you able to pair 2 govee setts together and make them sync? say for instance I got 2 of the light strips, could i use the app to control them both at once on same setting
Govee makes smart home lighting and Amy smart home lighting app will allow you set up groups and things of the sort so you could easily do it

@@dreontheboards9610 Yeah it lasted about 2 months, very hard to run the wires on these MK6's because of the engine bay, lasted about 2 months then my installation I did was failed and one fell off.

@@MrPepperYT yeah if it’s connected to the battery you will have to do it from the remote or app. if it’s connected to a fuse that’s only on with the car they will only come on when the car is on
Alright. But I dont know if the leds will automatically turn on again when they get power. For example. If i turn on the leds and then close the car, i wonder if they turn on again when getting power from unlocking and starting the car.

no not really i never had an issue with them draining the battery

i ordered the colors in rainbow order and then used the clockwise mode on max speed

Yes they did that for a few days everytime after I turned them on
