You’d still need to deal with the trouble of shadows and if it’s not corrected accurately enough, it can look jagged and noticeable. I think this way is a way that most people can do with an hd camera on a phone and a usb cord
@@SmitefulAres you can also put a green sheet where the shadow is so the shadow is not there and it would look the same as what they made in the video

NB 16 Its super simple. I recommend to use Sony Vegas or After Effects, really just any program in which keyframes are smooth and easy to make. Also, the program needs to be able to use Sapphire effects.
Make a graphic of a glowing pole or get it online. Film yourself using a pole in real, then insert the glowing pole in post and keyframe it. Done...

2:22 - The _real_ trick is not to use a tripod.
A slider makes it easy but it's possible to handhold the camera and use move-matching to take a brickless background and merge it.
