Awesome... Munky is an amazing guitar player.
Congrats for this interview and for bringing up the B-Sides release! Not that many technical guitar interviews with Korn lately which is a shame since there's massive studio sound design innovation in the guitar department on many of their albums.
Thanks! Yeah man, the Korn guys literally revolutionised the heavy guitar sound and they keep on pushing the limits. As an all-time Korn fan I really appreciate that (amongst many other things). Cheers //Kris
This album is fucking sick. It's up there in the top three for me, along with Life Is Peachy and Follow The Leader.
Thank you Munky.
You don't think their first album is in the top three?
@@sugarsore The debut is great for what it is, but they stepped it up on later albums, pushing that one down the list. It's still probably in the top five for me.
@@sugarsore Issues, FTL, and The Paradigm Shift
Oooooh yeah 🤘🏽5:15 don’t rush inspiration or artistry let it bloom in its own time.
Great interview G you the man!
BOOM.
@@MetalHeadHippie hope your doing well Sir , maybe this will help with the long winter 🤘🏽
This interview needed to be an hour. Fascinating stuff. Would love to hear to more of Munky and Head
thank you for this interview Munky going into detail into the whole Korn recording process really gives us an image of their creative process 👍
I love the fact it's 9 songs. Feels a lot tighter with zero bloat or filler.
Simple! What it used to be like in the old days. 8-10 songs! No filler and no stupid interludes
@@Yeahdude1992 Issues had a lot of interludes, but if you take out all the interludes it still has like 11 full length songs on the album
In My Personal Opinion, I have to say that out of a Million and one interviews featuring any musicians that have been successful with their work, this really helps me Appreciate "Korn", and Munky as a Creative Musician. I'm not a Hardcore Korn Fan, but I have always listened to their music for the songs I've liked that they've performed. After all the Crazy Shi+ they've been through as a Band and as individuals. I give a Huge Thankyou for this interview and the pure wholesome conversation you've shared with us all. GREAT WORK AND I'M A HAPPY AND PROUD SUB. TO YOUR CHANNEL.
This dude is such an inspiration. Love you Munky! I got my arm blacked out too! Just noticed you had that done. Idk when. New record is amazing btw! Korn fan since like 95
I play 7 string because of munky and head they're the shi+
Munky greath guitarrist!!.
I think 9 songs is enough for an album. Sometimes it's better to have a short good album, that an album that becomes boring as it goes too long.
Love this interview. Would have loved to hear more in depth about his and their studio experiments!
Great interview! I saw Korn 2 times live, the first with the classic line up with David Silveria on drums, and the second with only Munky in guitars and Ray Luzier on drums. Hope i see them again on day, they always sound amazing!
I have seen them 2 times live as well, they were amazing live but I only ever saw them with Luzier on drums.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Korn are........A leaguers
haha yes they are, I see you on FB all the time bro! Munky is such a passionate and intelligent guy, it's cool to see a band like Korn who you can tell truly love being on the road and entertaining their fans!
Not this guy again
Bro, what kinda mic/audio gear you using sounds great! Also, you are a good interviewer as well. Cheers!
6 different types of amps cranked up... that's how they that got sound. i always wondered how they got that sound. v cool.
hi how can i change the mick thomson signature guitar??? if you can make a video for it 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
So smoking weed is considered a drug. Probably fieldy went back to smoking weed and drinking. Munky became better player than head
Munky is a better live guitarist and Brian is a better studio guitarist because he is the one who writes the melodic guitar leads and the sickest riffs.
@@LeadMe2TheBlissI think they both write equally.
No way, Johnathan finally found religion?! I haven't heard about this at all!
Good for him and not a moment too soon... Trying times, we've seen them and they'll leave you devoid of everything if you have nothing.
He said spiritual, not religious. Jonathan hates christianity.
@@sugarsore That's a strong word... He's in a band with tell guys who are Christian and all I've ever heard from a long time ago was that he was fine with it, "so long as they didn't push it on him." I'm thinking that he's come to some terms as he's getting older and loss has put things in perspective.
To be honest, it's done more good for that band than you'd think. One would likely be in prison and the other would probably not be here.
@@Aint1S Brian is the only one in the band that is into Jesus.
@@sugarsore Why did you forget their original bass player. It hasn't been that long ago that he played with them.
@@Aint1S Fieldy drifted away from religion in the last 10 years because of drug use.
