- This video shows all of the playable & unlockable characters and gameplay of each character in MultiVersus Alpha Version. The characters in this game are: Shaggy, Reindog, Steven Universe, Garnet, Harley Quinn, Arya Stark, Finn, Tazz, Wonder Woman, Jake, Superman, Batman, Bugs Bunny, Tom & Jerry and Velma.

I don’t know if gameplay is better than Nick All Star Brawl, but Multiversus definitely wins in presentation
The gameplay looks a lot better than NASB imo, these characters seem a lot more diverse and unique compared to NASB
The animations for the attacks at least look better.
I like this game a lot more than NASB because it feels like more work was put into it, instead of just giving characters half assed references to memes and references to existing melee characters
Plus they have voice acting... That's all I cpuld point out really.

Once this game officially comes out, I'm maining the hell outta Tom & Jerry, they're an important part of my childhood and their moveset is so fun and wacky!

Tom and Jerry's moveset is a thing of absolute genius. They don't outright attack their opponent, they accidentally hit them in the crossfire of their forever ongoing brawl between themselves.

I really like how Tom and Jerry are just fighting each other and doing damage to the rest by it. Is a really good concept of a fighter and is really fitting. If this game had ultimates I would be a temporal teamwork since I loved when that happened on the show.
Holy crap, the treehouse stage is literally just an orchestrated remix of Adventure Times credits theme. And, though it's already been said, I just love how Tom & Jerry are just trying to kill each other while taking out the opposing team as well.

I must say Velma's moveset actually works, reminds me of Phoenix Wright from MvC3
She also have a collect clues mechanic like Phoenix in that game.

So Velma is essentially The Phoenix Wright of Multiverus… eh why not
She Killin with the power of freaking MAFF
And just like Phoenix in Marvel vs Capcom 3, she can collect clues to unleash a final attack, in Velma's case, her final attack is summoning a police car that would chase one of the opponents, trap them inside and then run off the stage for an easy defeat.

This all looks amazing and fun, but I am worried about the music. It isn’t bombastic or epic like songs in smash or high energy like in other fighting games, it honestly feels like music you would hear in the hub world of a game for their franchise, I do hope enough people talk about that in the feedback.

Well its still in the process of development so probably and hopefully theyll do something with the music and improve it
I fully admit I could be wrong about this, but perhaps the music is this way because this is in the training mode, and it would be more bombastic and such in actual matches.

This looks pretty decent just hoping on a much larger roster, but that will soon change, most likely
yeah but for how well polished it is versus more but less polished characters it's pretty good
if this is the alpha play, I can’t wait for the rest of the roster reveal! this should be good!
I just hope it doesn't end like SFV, that being said that it only has Online Mode and nothing else.
This is a lot for an alpha so my expectations are not low
it's free game, even with small roster, it's already a success
Moveset wise, Reindog gives me serious Orcane vibes.
Edit: And Velma's reminds me of Phoenix Wright (specifically his moveset in Marvel vs Capcom 3).

Idk if this is a genre , fighting games are a genre , but smash bros was the only fighting game of this type for years.
Think of it this way , this is like writing a fiction book and stealing the words directly from another book , it's not like writing a fiction book that's entirely original .

I was hoping for another full-on Cartoon Network fighting game with Adventure Time and Steven Universe characters alongside Ed, Edd n Eddy, The PowerPuff Girls, Samurai Jack, Ben 10, Generator Rex, Regular Show, and other Cartoon Network shows! We need representation from more shows like Adventure Time!
Wait, if this game is successful, many more Cartoon Network characters will come, there are rumors about Johnny Bravo.
I'm pretty sure it will feature all forms of WB media and not just cartoons, like Arya Starks we might eventually get like Neo,Scorpion,Harry Potter and hopefully Gandalf.

I don't remember who already said this, but the lifespan of this game kinda depends on how many Warner Bros liscenses they are willing to add and how quickly they can get them in.
I am hoping for a adventure mode of this game just like subspace emissary from smash bros brawl. Its possibly that the adventure mode will reveal the secrets and origins of reindog.

I kind of like that there’s a meter that builds on charge attacks. I sometimes release attacks too early in Smash, etc and that would help a lot

@@chippstory3323 not really, you beat your opponents in a smash type formula, stage ledges & knocking them off screen. Not by making their health bar hit 0 in a traditional fighting game. Both NASB and Multiversus do this
I feel like a missed opportunity is giving Shaggy one of his ancestors as his alternate colour, but not giving Finn Fern as the alternate colour, or even Fionna, since Jake has Cake.
Alright we have our Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network Smash Bros. All we need now is our Disney Smash Bros.
For anyone wondering why the characters play stiff is because he was showing what their movesets are capable off not combos
I can honestly see Ben in Multiversus having access to at least 4 aliens via a selection wheel mid combat. Depending on which variation we get we can probably expect:
Classic/10,000:Heatblast (first alien), Fourarms (currently preferred heavy hitter), Diamondhead (very important species to the series and Ben used him in his first big fight with Vilgax's giant robot and later in others), Xlr8 (everyone loves him and I just feel like Ben should have a speedster in his roster)
AF:Swampfire (first alien coming out of retirement), Bigchill (lowkey Ghostfreaks more level headed replacement and a fan favorite at the time), Humongosaur (Ben's newest and preferred heavy hitter at the time), Jetray or FastTrack (to fill the speedster slot, with Jetray making more sense since his part of the AF main 10 roster). (I kinda wanna see Goop & Rath though!)
UA:Ult Swampfire (Ben's first Ultimate alien and was used to win a huge battle), Ult Cannonbolt (I believe it's Ben's first Ult variation of one of his classics and one of his most used classic Ults, it can also sorta fill the roll of a speedy alien), Ult Bigchill (for the same reasons as what I said about AF), Ult Humongosaur (for the same reasons as AF but also cause I think he was probably the first on screen Ultimate alien cause of Albedo but I could be wrong). (I really want to see Ult Echo Echo though!)
OV:Feedback (canonically Ben's favorite alien since he was 11 and introduced in Omniverse), Gravattack (Ben's newest heavy hitter introduced in Omni as well), Bloxx (I believe he was Ben's first new alien at the beginning of Omni), Shocksquatch (introduced during the UA & GenRex crossover but shined in OV as if he was actually introduced in OV but in reality wasn't, debatable addition though tbh). (I really wanna see KickinHawk, CrashHopper, Areodcytle & Bullfrag though)
UA+OV+AF+OS:Heatblast, Humongosaur, Feedback & Turtle alien (since his the only one of the five special UA aliens that doesn't contrast the other three currently selected aliens in some way)
Idk who to select for the reboot but here's my attempt.
Reboot:Shockrock (very important to the series if I remember correctly), Waterhazardlookalike (one of the first leaked aliens and probably first new alien of the franchise), idk, idk.
If we use only Ben's classic aliens they could theoretically make skins for all the other variations of Ben.
I think Classic Ben has a 80% chance of getting in while AF/UA is like 40%, OV 90% & Reboot 99% chance.
I still don't know if there are supers in this game but if there are I expect Classic Ben or 10.000 to use Waybig or Upchuck (Up cause in the DS video game you can use him like a special one hit attack but also cause his the alien who beat the Forever King and destroyed Mt. Rushmore), AF Ben will use Alien X, UA Ben can use Master Control to combo attack using all five of his special scanned aliens (NRG, Armadrillo, Amfibian, Waterhazard & Turtle) & OV Ben can either use Atomix or a timeline/dimension gangup attack like Megaman & Hero does in Smash with Ben 10,000 coming in for the last hit using Atomic X or they can do something more light hearted where Ben team attacks with Rook. Idk about the reboot though, something with his special armor forms or Shockrock enhancements??
(10,000 is my most wanted, Classic is my 2nd, Omni is my 3rd, UA 4th & AF 5th)
This is amazing, im expecting their will be more WB properties that aren't just cartoon relative soon. Such as Neo,Scorpion,Rick,Harmoine,Ben 10,Gandalf,Blossom and so much more.

I heard that Harry Potter characters won't be in the game because the books publishers don't want them to.
Though I can't say that's too much of a loss in 2022.
@@ferhog7705 they can stay in the books/ movies. The only character I see in this game is Dumbledore because he looks like Gandalf. But that's about it. No one wants to play as peeves; even tho he could fit perfect in this game.

Stevens move set would be acurate if it was actually older steven and it makes me very mad that they went for young steven knowing older steven would better looking for a game like this, also i hope we get to see the other gems later, spinel also, maybe as a dlc character

Wouldn't that be more in line with nick-all-stars? The show seems more related to nick than cartoon network sometimes, at least it's how it looks to me. Plus, he would fit better in the wacky nature and art styles of the fighters in all-stars.

@@Masked_Mastermind yeah, but the fighters' designs are smoothed out. It fits them since their original designs are already smooth on a 2d front.
Ed edd n eddy have a rough scribble 2d design. Making them fit in multiversus would be a tough one to figure out. Unless you embrace their art style and make them 3d that way, respect the source material.

The gameplay looks stiff but it looks nice and the models look better than the ones from Nick ASB imo
I want their to be more of a push to the gameplay

Well it is a closed beta for a reason. So they can fix and tweak some bugs and features and pretty much get feedback on what to improve. I've gotta say though, it's definitely a helluva lot better than All Stars Brawl. That crap got boring in the first 3 days.

if theres one negative thing i can say, i really hope they add more "fun" music to the game. all of the music im hearing here is so bland and calm especially when theres CARTOON characters trying to KILL EACHOTHER

However, famous characters alone is not enough to make a game a success, they can bring more players, but they can't make the players stay.
And at this point, it's very likely that Warner Bros. will kill this game before most of these characters above can join, Warner Bros. Discovery is a mess, even though this game still has potential, get ready for them to waste it.
I hope that they'll have at least 1 more Looney Tunes character soon. They seem pretty fast. Speaking about fast, maybe Roadrunner would be a good pick?
