  • David Eubank, a former Green Beret and founder of the humanitarian group Free Burma Rangers, embarked on a journey in the middle east to help civilians who are often an after thought among the chaos of war.
Eubank and his Free Burma Rangers were joined by former Navy SEAL Ephraim Mattos. Together, the former special operators executed a near perfect impromptu rescue mission; to save a child.

I recall seeing the clip of them running out to get her, and never finding the story or info behind it, such a sad story, glad the men made it back safe, and the little girl was re-connected with family, wish them all the best. Thank you for covering this and sharing the info.

Something I don't think will escape my mind, for awhile at least, is knowing this little girl is going to grow up one day and remember all of this. Makes me wonder what she, and even many other young survivors of horrific conflicts, will be like.

I really appreciate these videos man, a lot of solders feel like their efforts go un-noticed. Their acts of bravery & camaraderie are forgotten and as a result where a hopeless act of proving one’s self worth, your videos bring a light to those soldiers who may feel and experience these feeling & are invaluable to those.
I say this as a son of a father who experienced PTSD for the wars he was in in afghanistan, most of the men in these wars feel like a number, no matter what they did it never mattered anyway because they where apart of a larger purpose. Your videos remove the stigma associated with soldiers being a number and I deeply appreciate it from the bottom or my heart.

Great video, this will bring more attention to these charities. Stronghold relief sends out newsletters regularly with details of their work and sadly the losses they sustained in that period. Its easy to see just how important their work is and if anyone is looking for a worthwhile charity I highly recommend stronghold relief, they are making this world a better place.
