I thought it was the 76/7 season when Robbins's coaches arrived late and we lost 5-0.

They did turn up in the Kippax, and it was more than 100. They were never called the yid army back then. They had 3 main mobs. The Shelf mob(The main mob up top that a lot of Northern fans didn't even know about as rarely seen on the tele). The Park Lane mob, and the Paxton mob. So when they went away it was a mixture. They had no away name at that time, so it was just the Tottenham mob. Yid army was 100% not a thing in the 70s. The other thing was that the Kippax had over 8000 in it. So of course they would have battered a mob of less than 200 that got in there out of about 600 Spurs fans. But at least the mad Spurs fans had so much bottle to go in there, and even ran them at the start, before being overwhelmed. Hardly any Southern mob went in the Kippax. It had a big reputation. And look at the size and numbers in old videos.

The kippax in the 70's , particularly before segregation was a bloody nightmare for away fans. Outside the ground was no picnic either.

It was actually 07 may 1977
Spurs arrived late which could be quite normal for their coach firm
4 coachloads turned up midway through the first half
Steamed into the back right side entrance on to the stand
Scattered the Man City fans until they realised the numbers
Then went back up the terracing and sideways and filled the spaces
Spurs didnt move one inch back and were eventually surrounded by the plod and stayed in that end until the end of the game
On the way back to the coaches it was mainly bricks an objects being thrown at one another
