There is definitely something special about this track. Was telling my wife that Oblivion was such a particular part in my life, I'm sometimes sad I can't hear it again for the first time. This album, and this song especially, brings so much force with it. It gives me goosebumps. I went and listened to Blood and Thunder, and it was like seeing someone grow from youth into maturity. When I try to describe Mastodon to someone who has never heard them I always go with the same image: Four cavemen that found an alien temple on Earth, and touched some sacred alien shit that automatically gave them the hability and the mission to make a band, and inmediatly after that they we're sent to space.
