"I mean, that's like meeting Charles Dickens and he's surrounded by ghosts. At Christmas."
Yes, very subtle.
With Rose :'(
Christoph Burschka ironic that it happens only the doctor is the ghost of past and present
Christoph Burschka I read that the same time it said it XD
Really subtle. Considering the 9th doctor met Dickens at Christmas with Rose and they are surrounded by ghosts.
Extremely subtle. I remember that episode like it was yesterday.
"Plucky young girl? I'll pluck you in a minute"
Donna was the best.
another "I'll sacrifice you in a minute" from fires of Pompeii
The best at bring annoying? 😀
😂😂
Catherine Tate is brilliant in this: "Professor Peach? In the library? With a LEAD PIPE?"
I love Katherine Tate. she's brilliant
+Bialar Crais
Same
One of the best comediennes in Britain +Doctor Who :-)
William Signs sex
William Signs her maiden name was Miller. Her first husband's name was Christie
Donna: A murder, A mystery and Agatha Christie.
Doctor: So? happens to me all the time.
Donna: Thats like meeting Charles Dickens and he's surrounded by ghosts, AT CHRISTMAS.
Doctor: Well...
Love that reverence to 'The Unquiet Dead'.
...That episode terrified me when I was younger...
Ikr!
at some point Doctor has probably faced Noddy, he's just saying "there's no Noddy" because she asked him to.
Clearly his experiences with Noddy have left him scarred, hence his blunt denial. He can't confront the truth of what happened so he pretends it never did.
He fought against Noddy in the Time War.
@@PlanetKhaos It's no doubt going to be some sort of super dark story involving the eighth Doctor, by Big Finish, I just know it!
Nah the doctor is defiantly Noddy weird clothes strange relationship with a brightly coloured vehicle ring a bell
He's definitely had tea with Noddy
Before you know it the Doctor will be facing witches with Shakespeare! ....wait...
Hey TARDISArchives I am a huge fan of you and you will see I have subscribed to you. I just want to know your thoughts on Peter Capaldi as the next Doctor. I personally think he will be a good Doctor as I have seen him in some other stuff but will he be able to carry on the adventure in it?
KingGaming001 Thanks! I have absolute faith he will be an amazing Doctor, met him in real life and seen filming. He is a wonderful guy and a wonderful actor :)
Wow awesome, and that Danny Pink dude do we know much about him because I can't find much on him?
He was in Emmerdale & Gavin and Stacey. :)
Wow xD
I love Donna's laugh at 00:24 - just trying to fit in haha!
"Could we? Noddy is not real! Is he!? Tell me there's no Noddy!"
I loved Donna Noble so much :')
Theres no Noddy! :D
Mordirit there’s no noddy
Underrated episode
Definitely one of my favorites from Tennant's era 😊
My absolute favorite, partly because Christie is my all time favorite author.
More watchable compared to the latest series
@@soulofresolve9514 It's funny, because now whenever I picture Agatha Christie I picture this actress.
Forgot how good Donna was. Too bad only did one season.
Well, well…… Guess what had happened a few months ago?
That Charles Dickens and the ghosts at Christmas reference.
'Theres no noddy!'- STOP RUINING MY CHILDHOOD!!
Good God, that's Felicity Jones!
Yeah, I forgot she was in this episode!
Felicity Jones at 2:26 if anyone's curious
@@zachanikwano jyn erso?
There's no noddy!
The way he said it... "There's no Noddy!"... it just made me think of Rule 1.
It is just occurring to me that Donna is really well read. She only made references to Charles Dickens and Agatha Christie works, but I would be surprised if her literacy ends there.
theres no noddy...
"Plucky young girl." LOL.
Donna was so great.......so great......
The tenth Doctor always had a sort of detective theme in my opinion.
like meeting Charles Dickens surrounded by ghosts at christmas. XD not like anything like that has happened before! xD
Donna was the best companion by far.
"Tell me there's no Noddy"
"there's no Noddy"
Brilliant 😂
That's why DW is the best because you can talk about Noddy right aside a dead body
Agatha Christie surrounded by murders, that's silly, like... like H. G. Wells meeting aliens! Wait, bad example...
So I take it you also hate The Unquiet Dead and The Shakespeare Code.
Every time I watch one of these clips, I forget that it's just a clip on RUclips! Hoppin' over to Netflix now to rewatch the episode :D
1:29 "she'd lost her memory"
Yeeeaaaahhhhh speaking of which...
Oof.
This was one of my favourite scenes in the episode and it is in my top 10 episodes of DW.
“There’s a murder, a mystery, and Agatha Christie.” ❤️
"I'll pluck you " I always likes the way she played Donna's character.
One of my favorite Doctor Who episodes :D
So, there's no Noddy but there is a Father Christmas? Interesting...
Love this episode. Since it's written by the same guy who wrote The Lodger, then it's obviously good.
I forgot how much I loved Donna until she said "Tell me there's no Noddy!"
I love pretty much every episode with Donna
It’s just occurred to me that neither Agatha or Donna remember each other
To this day I would randomly yell out, "MURDER! MURDER!"
watches on murder mysteries. always break down so easy
Thanks for reading my comment and uploading this vid!! I loved this epidsode, it was brilliant!!
David Tennant: The Doctor Who licks everything. XD
the return of sir henry gordon jago!
Tell me there's no noddy
There's no Noddy.
The comment below this at the time...
What's a noddy?
He is a fictional character from a series of children's books written by Enid Blyton. He is a small wooden boy who lives in Toyland :-)
Thank you.
Donna: The plucky young girl who helps me out?
The Doctor: No police women in 1926.
Donna: I'll pluck you in a minute.
Co-incidentally, in May 1926 the charismatic Christian evangelist and radio personality Aimee Semple McPherson ("Sister Aimee") of the Angelus Temple, Los Angeles, CA disappeared from a beach in Southern CA. She walked out of the desert in Mexico five weeks later, stating she had been held for ransom in a desert shack, but had finally escaped. Citing the physical and psychological trauma of the situation, her memory became conveniently hazy when pressed for details on what was in later years assumed to be a romantic rendezvous she didn't want her flock to find out about. Her state of hydration, the condition of her clothing, the extent of her suntan, etc. did not support her story of a 13-mile, 20-hour walk across the sands. Los Angeles prosecutors also susptected a publicity stunt, but finally concluded that McPherson had run off with a former employee, sound engineer Kenneth Ormiston, staying with him in a secluded cottage he had rented in a California resort town. She was prosecuted on a clutch of charges, but the state bungled the case and it was dismissed. She lost public confidence however, and eventually her ministry, and died in obscurity in 1944.
Tell me there is no Noddy!
I love everything about this episode.
Agatha Christie and a real murder mystery: Yes
Our like meeting Shakespeare and having to fight off witches!
2:12 thank you donna for reminding me of the existence of Clue/Cluedo.
"Noddy's not real. Tell me there's no Noddy!" "well, my name's not really Noddy, and I called Bumpy Dog K9, but she thought that was a silly name. but the rest of it's pretty much true... "
Can't wait for Series 8.
"tell me theres no noddy
1:40 Professor! The library! Murder! Murder!
You should upload the detox scene. "HARVEY WALLBANGER?!"
OK so... thanks for this. Because of posting. I watched most of Dr. Who on repeats back then in the US on PBS. Anything Pertwee or especially Sarah Jane I burst into tears.
Thank you for reminding me of this n. who episode I watched
You posted the original shot deleted ending. That prompted me to buy it on iTunes. Only way.
You are way kind to give me a small distraction in isolation and quite frankly alone and crying.
Thanks for the few moments of distraction.
Love it could bee a series itself.
I've watched this episode so many times in the past and it's only now that I've watched it again and realised that Felicity Jones is in it!
My sister got married at the house this is filmed at. Lovely place
When The Doctor and Clara fly the Tardis to Trenzalore in 'The Name of The Doctor'
For me the most epic and exciting piece of Tardis Action!
A body in the library? Count the shadows!
Saw Fenella Woolgar (aka Agatha Christie) in a brilliant play called handbagged in the west end she plays Maggie Thatcher and it's awesome I recommend it to anyone even if you're not into politics as it's very funny x
I wrote off to BBC Artists Mail for a signed picture of Fuenella Woolgar after this episode aired. I've still got it, framed. Good actress, attractive lady.
Very old comment, I know, but I saw Handbagged - and it was amazingly funny. There was a rerun of it a couple of years back and I regret not finding out until it was over. Honestly had no idea that Fenella Woolgar portrayed Maggie Thatcher in Handbagged
When he said there's no noddy I cried
NO NODDY? WHAT MADNESS IS THIS?!?
2:24 Chief Inspector Smith from Scotland Yard. Known as The Doctor.
D T's eyes looked a bit wonky there for a second.
RIP
4 seasons later there is a noddy and he's a dangerous pyscho
Great ep.
when the doctor tells donna there's no noddy I just lose it
I'll pluck you in a minute!
0:58 - That face.
the writing for the doctor was so much better wow
Just came from watching Superman & Lois and Adam Rayner, who plays Morgan Edge, is one of the party guests here.
This is my favorite episode :D
"Tell me there's no Noddy!"
This was a funny episode, but for some reason the old snooty lady looks and sounds familiar, but I don't know why...
I think she is the actor who voiced Cassandra the last human
glenn hayes Close! Lady Eddison is played by Felicity Kendal, who does look uncannily like Zoë Wanamaker (who voiced and played Cassandra).
She's been in lots of things, personally from my childhood I can remember her being in My Family. But like I said, you may have seen her in many things before.
Penguin that was Zoe Wanamaker who was in My Family, they look a lot like each other. The actress who was in this episode was is Rosemary and Thyme if you've ever seen it?
Doctor Who My dad does Felicity's gardening :P. She has a BIG house
0:25 no, don't do that. Just... don't.
We need an episode with this Noddy Fella
What's this episode ? I mean what number ?
One of the best fun episodes of the revival, essential for Agatha Christie marks such as myself.
I love this episode. Great bit of fun. :)
0:50 I died
Imagine just sitting in your back garden and heard 'PROFESSOR PEACH! MURDER! MURDER!'
Noddy as the next Doctor, with Dinah Doll as companion!
00:33 Eh, wrong BioShock game, madame.
love this
Charles Dickens surrounded by ghosts
William Shakespeare fighting three witches
Agatha Christie solving a murder mystery
Murder Of Midnight
Hahaha. I love Donna ♥
i'm just starting to get into doctor who i have watched some episodes with the guy at the end any recommendations on what to watch first?
9th Doctor Is First Place To Start His First Episode Is Named Rose
JokerAboard thank you
Donna: _TELL ME THERE'S NO NODDY!!!_
Doctor: *There's no Noddy*
Donna: :(
I miss Donna.
is the actress of cassandra in this episode?
Hang on is that felicity Jones?
Charles Dickens and Ghosts? Agatha Christie and Mysteries? What's next on Doctor Who, Mark Twain and a Riverboat Trip?
When you realise the Colonel could actually be Jago because the time between Talons of Weng Chiang and Unicorn and the Wasp is almost the same as the time between the 1970s and 2008.
The Doctor: I haven’t seen you since the 1970s
Agatha Christie + Doctor Who = Heaven
Lol to Donna I think she is sooooo funny!
Don't you DARE make jokes about Belgium!!!
Can we have an episode where the Doctor just takes LSD with Aldous Huxley?
