Bruh! Came here for this. I've had to watch every movie I've ever enjoyed again as a dad now. I feel like I see each film and character differently now. Fuck, that line cuts.
Still trips me out on how Rufio gets killed then all of the sudden Peter's kids say " dad I want to go home" and Peter is like, "OK, play time is over. Let's go home" like what?! Lol
It's because Rufio's dying wish was to have a dad, just like him. It's cool to think about being a lost boy, but these kids were abandoned. When Jack says he wants to go home, Peter remembers what's really at stake and this place has consequences, most especially after Rufio's last words. Peter HAS TO BE a father. It's only when Hook threatens Peter's children, and their children, that he understands there is no way out. Hook won't stop. And this has to end here. Now.
i always found it strange that Ruffios death is never mentioned again, we dont even see him get a funeral from the Lost Boys or anything, hes just kinda forgottern.
He is mentioned one more time. Right at the end when Peter has Hook at his mercy, he says something along the lines of, "You kidnapped my children. You killed Rufio. You deserve to die."
Sadly, this is perfectly accurate to the way that the story describes Peter and the Lost Boys. Peter has himself casually executed many a Lost Boy, and and they cared nothing of it nor reflected on it after. There were many fairies before Tinkerbell, for the lives of fairies are short. Peter does not mourn or remember them. Neverland is the place of the perpetual now of youth. Past and future mean virtually nothing.
The moment Peter looked up after Rufio died = The Dr from Dr who "Good men don't have rules, Now is not that time you want to find out why i have so many."
This scene is so overdramatic. Hook barely poked Rufio’s skin. And Even if he did, Rufio’s death would have naturally been much more long and painful. Not to mention the unnecessary dramatic wind at 0:26.
Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?
“….I wish I had a Dad… like you!” Oh man that line brings me to tears even to this day.

Me too - it shows that despite getting off to a rocky start with Peter, Rufio had come to respect him 😢

The Lost Boys are pretty much guys like me, who never grew up. But when their leader is killed, the visiting normies want to go home. Makes sense.

I know you don’t know me but that look at 0:59 and 1:00 says it all
