The marvel logo is black and white on the original. While the reprint will be red and black on the marvel logo
Exactly that’s how I was told to look for it
I think that is almost for all the reprints, correct
Dont forget the marvel logo on the facsimile is red compared to the original 😉

On the reprint the MARVEL logo is RED. that's the easiest way to tell the difference. Gr8 vid Dave!

Important video. I've seen way too many of these on eBay, and reported some of them. I think if the seller lists it without mentioning the that it is a facsimile, then that's definitely a scam. The seller absolutely knows its not the original. Buyers have a responsibility to be better educated if they are spending that amount of money, but these sellers are scumbags.

The issue number is in the upc code. The original has 00411 and the facsimile is 00111.
Deff the easiest way. First 3 are issue # next would be cover and final number would be print.

I got the facsimile edition 9.8 with the custom label for $38, mostly for decoration!
It's good to help new comic book investors or collectors because I didn't have guidance with great content like this and made those mistakes. Keep up the awesome content.

The likeness is cool and all, down to the ad on the back; but I kind of wish they would make it more obvious that reprints are reprints. Some sort of phrase or logo in the corner, something.
Ya they should say reprint on it. That way people don’t get fooled so easily

Yea I go by the red Marvel as being stop, it's a reprint.
any thoughts on the La Mole reprint? Do you lump that in with the other reprints? I've actually been actively seeking out the La Mole.
Great Information- I wouldn't have known the difference. I view this as a scam which defined as a fraudulent or deceptive act. In this case I'd say deceptive if the seller knowingly left out vital information to get a higher price out of an unsuspecting person. There is absolutely no reason a seller would leave out the comic is a reprint unless they were hoping to find a sucker. And the buyer beware argument only goes so far. Some people maybe new and just getting started. They may not know where or how to identify scams... The seller still has an ethical responsibility to let someone know this is a reprint...
The facsimile also has Marvel written in Red and the original Marvel is black writing

Actually sir there is one VERY big way to tell which ones the real one or not. In the front, the word Marvel will be in white with a black background while the other with be white with a red background
There’s so many versions of that book that it can easily be mistaken. I just saw it on EBay for like $100, when it comes to Comics… if it’s too good to be true, u should be weary.
The only one with the red marvel logo that's worth it is the La Mole con Spanish foil version
I believe even CGC has missed this and there was at least one that was a facsimile that CGC slabbed as 1st print.

Honestly, I had them for years, and they were both graded 8.5 with a little crees on both of them.
When I submitted the comics to CGC they were still in the plastic

I’ve seen sellers not mention that it’s a reprint until you click into the description. A little shady.
That could be 'bait and switch' on their parts.

I have three UF4 2nd prints that I bought last year. There were 20 of them that showed up at the LCS I was at. Most of the people in the LCS thought they were reprints that just came out and passed on them. I knew to check his face first and then look for the 2nd print banner under the title. They were listed at $50 each. Cherry picked the five best and traded two of them to a friend. I would have bought them all if I had the funds in hand. As soon as I bought any, everyone else snatched up the leftovers. Guess they need to see someone bite at the hook before they would.

I wouldn't call it a scam, but definitely unethical to omit that you're selling a reprint.
Or you have a combination of sellers and buyers that do not know.

Seller should put in title it's a facsimile....sellers are being sketchy...happens with all facsimile. Ewhy I hate facsimile editions and Marvel should make it more obvious that it's not the OG
