  • A short film on Beth Carter for her 2021 solo exhibition at Beaux Arts Bath, by Michael and Oliver Pitts.
Beth discusses the inspiration and symbolism behind her sculptures- why she makes minotaurs, why she uses masks and fragments in her work, and how she tries to reconcile darkness and light.

Very impression sculptures. Surprisingly, when I saw the Minotaur, I felt a connection between the artist and the model. It's just a miracle how it's all transferred through the clay into the casting.
I saw it today in M FINE ARTS GALERIE | BOSTON.

I saw one of her Minotaur pieces, also at the M gallery in Boston and ended up purchasing it. Also, had a chance to meet her at one of the showings.
