Oh so sad RIP kitty 😺 😢, I know he felt so good after a bath and a trimming glad you could do it.
This kitty was called BOTH "Monsieur Moustache" AND "Ash".... so was the RIP for the cat himself, or was it supposed to be a playful "goodbye" to his FURRY persona of "Monsieur"??😵💫😢
I see a lot of people understanding it to be the kitty himself passed, but I'm just confused since not only the name thing, but also it seems odd if the kitty himself passed that you would not have included anything in your narration?
And since your sense of humor is very dry (often delightfully so) I wasn't thinking it was RIP for the kitty himself. But the comments....
So I'm just not sure? Please please clarify?

My point was that we don't know anything about what care the owners were giving it or how it passed so it was rude of that person to make a comment assuming they weren't giving it what it needed.
The poor old man. You could tell he didn’t have a lot of fight left in him despite his displeasure. Thanks for helping make him more comfortable and letting us have a chance to meet him.

His meow was very much like my old Lucy girl's meow. She had the most broken meow I've ever heard!
Kidney disease in animals can be so unpredictable. I am so sorry to the family for their loss.

Hi, Vanessa! (And Mr. Mustache!) 😊 I'm not really a "cat-person", per say, but I felt like I needed to say this; Thank you, Vanessa, so much, for sharing this snippet of this "weirdos" life. I can only imagine the wonderfully mischievous personality this little one had at home and/or at least towards the end of his life (i.e if he was a rescue).
And to you, Mr. Mustache, it was a delight knowing you, if only for 4 minutes and 47 seconds.. I'm honored to have been introduced to you and I hope that you can finally relax and enjoy kitty heaven, as you should. All the kisses and love.. From Sweden ❤️

Once they stop grooming themselves you have to be very careful, help them, groom them often. May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him🌹🙏🏽🥹
Not only when they stop, my cat is becoming 14 next week and she still cleans herself but not as often as she did before. Atm I shower her once or twice a year, when her fur stops to "separate". Don't know how to explain it, the fur will get more shiny thanks to the fat in her hair and then some parts will stick together. That's when I know she needs a bath
Yup, I had a tuxie girl who lived to 20ish. I bathed her roughly once a week. I was expecting to get clawed to pieces, no she chose to make my ears ring by meowing as loudly as possible XD She loved brushing though. Would chirp if she saw me holding her brush
I fell in love with him...may his family always treasure their memories!
His croaky meows reminded me of my late kitty. I rescued him from the stray life when I was 17, knowing he was unwell, and he lived 2 more spoiled years.

One of my 9 year old cats was just diagnosed with early stage kidney disease. His Rx food is outrageously expensive, but it’s worth it to keep him around for as long as he’s comfortable.
I put my kidney kitty on a supplement that helps absorb phosphorus and keep it out if their system and its helping her. Its called tru kitten, my stubborn old lady refuses to eat the wet kidney diet food but will the dry most of the time. I have 2 other cats and she will occasionally eat their food as well. Hope your kitty stays stable like mine has.
I had a cat with arthritis, and the painkillers for that really worked, but at the price of slowly destroying her kidneys. So yes with the Rx food. She lived to be eighteen, lay down one day and just didn't get up, and we knew it was time. But she was learning new tricks right up to her very last week of life.
I've lost two cats over the years to kidney disease, and neither made it to 14 (11 and13). We hate to lose them, miss them dreadfully, but are glad they are no longer suffering.
I'm hope Mr 'Stache's family will be comforted by the memories.
Much respect to Ash. He fought with every bit of whisker he had until the end. I love the feistiness of cats so much.

Oh wow, this was an emotional one. I was laughing & crying all the way through & then the end just made me sob & hug my (very unwilling) cats. The Monsieur was obviously very loved & very well taken care of for his 14yrs. I send my condolences to his owners- fly high moustache man 😻

I lost a cat to kidney failure last January and this really struck a chord with me. It felt nice to remember we weren’t the only family who had to lose a cat the same way. My deepest condolences go to Monsieur Mustache’s family. I know how hard it is. I hope they’re able to know and remember that they’re not alone.

Ash was the beloved pet of one of my good friends and his wonderful wife.. they gave him such a good life, full of love and affection.. they cherished him. He will be deeply missed forever.
