    • @Hezzey
      @Hezzey 4 года назад +20

      I saw a hilarious little film in the RUclips about those birds and the people that lived around them and it was a bit tragic and typical of what happens when foreign species invade....
      In the movies the narrator explained that those birds are vigilant and they are nosey and when they get molested they take care of business.
      I understand well that humans are an invasive species in most of the world.
      Hi also understand that if we fuck around with the wildlife around us we wind up in a poison and waste land and that we need the nature around us we can’t just kill and rape everything
      I think and hope Aussies understand that.

    After triggering a "gull alert" (a sentry gull spotting me, for then to call out a general alert), I decided to stop, and just behave out of the ordinary. I did a "still walk", where I move my feet but don't move off the spot. This granted me a silent escort of bewildered gulls.
    Dunno about emus, but at least birds that are used to humans - well, any animal in their environment - will learn the typical behavior of that animal. If you begin to act weird, they'll take notice.
