One of the saddest and yet greatest songs of all time. It encapsulates 30 years of history and life in one song. To this day it angers me to think of how soldiers were totaled up on the evening news like it was a baseball game… Thank you John for painting this picture to perfection 🙏❤️
This song brings me such sadness, joy, and longing. All at once.
He needs a statue of him at the Music Hall of Fame !!!

This song conects with "Have You Ever Seen The Rain" and "Who'll Stop The Rain"!
My mother said the first half of the 60's were a great time to be young in the USA, and the JFK assassination was a sign that things would get worse.
I love this guy big fan , seen him at Adelaide entertainment centre 25 years ago

Love this, love John Fogerty....
In 1985 I was visiting Stockholm. It had been 10 years since I'd heard anything but loose rumours about John Fogerty. Occasionally the uncertainty caused physical pain. Then on the street in Stockholm was a huge picture of John Fogerty but no text! The blood left my head, and I was breathing heavily. Back home, I found out that Centerfield was to be released very soon. When I eventually got the LP and put it on my record player, my hands were shaking. When the first song, The Old Man Down the Road, played I was filled with joy and my life became normal again.
A whole Generation sumed up in vivid 3 minute haunting & Thriumpant balled. !!Classic John Fogerty..!!
Keep on rockin John . you the man !!!
Change T.V for internet and it is today. The same.

Que Hermosa Canción ❤
