More dark fragrances please! Big fan of them. Beaufort London is on my list and has been for awhile. I fear buying one because I know it will be either a hit or a massive miss that I'll never reach for. One day my curiosity will triumph over my misgivings and I'll order one. Fun fact: Beaufort London was founded by the electronic band The Prodigy's drummer.
I love “Fougere Bengale”. It’s one of those scents you just fall into. It has a “curried” effect to me. Some dark heat that adds a stirring excitement to your nose.
As a fan of dark fragrances in particular it's great to see a video discussing them from people who have a knowledge not only of many different fagrances but also a real deep understanding of them too. I particularly enjoy hearing from Nicola as she clearly has a great nose to be able to pull so much out of each fragrance but she also talks in a way that highlights the poetic and artistic side of the perfumes. She absolutely nails what is great about Iron Duke and I was pleased to her what she said on moth too as I've always felt it had this interesting balance of elegance and dustyness which moths do have as insects. It's nice to hear some else verbalise how you feel about something that's such an odd and almost abstract thing to manage to draw out of a scent. Personally I also love Tonnerre, Coeur de Noir and Arcrasia from Beaufort as well when looking at their darker perfumes. Also Parfum Prissana - Chetyre and Prin - Onthamara อนธมาร are both favorite dark ones from Prin Lomros
I love some Lush scents for "dark", some I tried in their former London Gorilla Perfumes store such as 'The Bug' and 'President's Hat' but 'Breath of God' is one of my favourites which I do own. Incense, cedar, vetiver, melon, sandalwood, juniper, black pepper, lemon, neroli, grapefruit, ylang-ylang, rose. Its a really interesting blend, heavy and dark, complex. Smoky, aromatic, balsamic, woody, spicy but floral and idk. Its just beautiful.

Please help me become the ultimate goth. I agree with Beaufort, they are almost visceral. But the rest I have yet to try! I have scoured the internet using weird keywords to find out how to smell dark. Purchased Furneral home by Demeter Fragrance, smells like a furneral, but I am not sure if I do want to smell like that after all
Versace Man (2003 purple bottle) has a goth appeal, i wear it for special occasions or when i go to goth/metal shows. i find it more goth than something like JV dark rebel or Nasomato Black Afgano.
On Etsy, there's cool smaller companies that make perfume attar/oils, I like Kn feFight, Southern Gothic, and Anubis, but there's lots more... Graveyard Dirt, Shroud, Vampire's Kiss...
I have distamce more and more from complex amd strange fragrances. My aim now is more designer and a few niche here and there the really good ones like jubilation25 or MR pink from blacklift.

Definitely given me some inspiration, and Mars 2022 was on my list and now it's been moved up!

Can't get much darker than Black Afgano. That stuff is deep black in colour, resinous in texture and as heavy, deep and dark as a perfume can be.
True its so dark and smells like devil
Color is dye and I promise there are darker smelling fragrances. Even darker and almost harrowing in scent experience.
