Thanks, I’ve got a lot less miles on my Angels GT’s fitted to my K1600B, but I’m seeing the same results as you, thanks for the video. Looks like a great trip.

I run these on my Kawasaki Z1000SX / Ninja 1000SX. I've done about 7,000 miles so far, a good mixture of highways and back roads and they're still going strong with plenty of tread. I'm expecting to get at least 10k miles. I may do a review of how it has performed so far. I had Metzeler Z8 before and they lasted about that as well.

I was researching the tyres. But I’m very impressed with the bmw bagger. 🤩🤩

I ran a couple rears, and a front, of the Angel GT II’s on my MT09. I was pretty happy with their performance. The S21 rears I did have lasted maybe 2500 miles, the GT II rear last between 3500-3800. I run them all the way down until cords start to appear. Apparently that’s down to the way I ride, the roads locally, and my weight. My tires never last long. But traction was pretty good, not quite as good as the S21’s on the side of the tire, but surprisingly good, especially in the rain.

Just replacing Angel GT 2’s with new Angel GT 2 A Spec’s. On my K16GT. Standard’s lasted 11000 km’s. Great tires but life span not exemplary. Will see how much longer the A Spec’s last.

i agree. Pirelli should drop those 2 parallel grooves on front tyre. I had the same issue driving across Europe and those grooves interferes with painted lines or grooves in the road itself and catch on to it... And sometimes it throws you off guard. I don't like the front tyre. Its a safety issue for me.

My Multistrada 1200 is up for new tyres (currently on michelin road 4) and thinking the non A spec should be a great option since its much lighter than the big K1600.

For a tire of this class (I have owned 2 sets On ST1300 and love em ) why in heavens name do they not make an new 18”inch front tire?
Would’ve bought the new Angel II, But had to switch to Michelin because of this. What’s up Perelli?

You would be perfect to give a detailed comparison between the normal one and the A spec. A lot of talk about having to run the A spec on heavier bike's. I would like to hear your thoughts on if it's really necessary to use them. Cheers

Also a side by side with the old used standards would have been brilliant.

Any reason why your front tyre is back to front? Water dispersion grooves will push water to the centre and aquaplane.

@@mihazamuda5127 no it’s not. It’s mounted backwards. I’d demand a new tire and new tech to mount it.

The lip you are showing on your tire is caused by the rebound setting of the rear shock being too fast or slow. If the front or leading edge of the tread is lower, your rebound is too fast and it needs to be slowed or damped more.. if the back edge is lower then the rebound is too slow and it needs to be opened up. If your bike has a rebound adjuster, that is how you would make the tire wear consistent. Just an fyi

All bikes are a little bit different but the BMW K1600B recommends 42 psi cold front and rear

these stick just like the sport versions but going over a grooved bridge or pavement IS A BITCH. the first ones didnt do that.

  • @tg8150

You do realize your front tire is mounted backwards? The grooves going toward the center of the tire are supposed to be going to the outside. So unless you’re riding backwards, the tires are not functioning properly. Probably the reason you’re seeing treadwear issues already. Some people just lack common sense and shouldn’t be mounting tires.

    • @weldmandingo
      @weldmandingo  Год назад

They are definitely mounted correctly. The tread pattern is opposite from a front tire to the back tire.
