As a cuber u can also learn advance solving method i use the method called cfop and there are so many speed solving methods such as Roux or ZZ so you can even atleast sopve under a min 😊 (Advised)

I am a medium speed cuber but just keep it up until you would solve it under 1 minute ( Rubik's cube that people used to solve is Gan cube ) also for better time, do the CFOP method
I tried it just like you for so many years more than 20 so I decided to watch a video and it worked, after 2 days learning the moves I was able to solve it, I just did it now on 2 minutes and 15 seconds, not the greatest but I am so proud of self
I'm also a noob cuber, My fastest time is about 2 minutes and 50, And I learned in 2 days, but you did it in only a couple of hours, so you're technically better than me 👌
I recommend this for beginners use an app to show you how to solve it and then use that same scramble and keep on practicing and practicing that scramble and once you get good enough at that one move on to a different one can do it multiple times until you feel like you are good enough at the Rubik's cube

The newer rubiks cubes actually arent too bad. It turns quite well, its just stiff and bad at corner cuts. But overall not a terrible beginner cube
