I didn't see him touch any cars. At least before being accused. I see him walk up and record a broken windshield and then the cop comes and accuses him of touching the cars. But before this accusation all I see is a minute of recording without touching.

This interaction really showed that the prohibition of recording in the Police station is ultimately about police hiding from public wanting to hold them accountable. Sean so clearly showed that, if the camera was hidden, they could do nothing about it, during or after the encounter. So that policy is really only geared towards folks openly recording. And as Sean has pointed out many times, folks with nefarious intentions aren't going to draw attention to themselves by openly recording. Thank you Sean for your work exposing this sort of BS.
It's also about turf protection. They take affront to anyone invading their hive, and they feel threatened by it - even when there is no threat. Same as filming the cars parked in front.

Trespass laws need to be rewritten since tyrants want to use that to violate rights
The trespass law states that a person has to violate a law in a public place in order for that person to be trespassed from the public place.

I would love to see that, he thinks it's not a crime, I think the DA would disagree. But Sean would never do that because then he wouldn't have any content without the confrontation.
Better use the hidden but show that the camera is operating. When asked to shut down, do just that. Later while in pretend to check the camera is ok then see what happens. Was there a show called candid camera?
It's amazing that a supreme court ruling that video of police is not illegal or reason for arrest but that their opinion on a case dealing with qualified immunity is considered law in 48 states.

You need to do a FOIA request for the POST training to see what the training curriculum has regarding protecting constitutional rights in a Terry stop, or any other stop. I checkec our local states POST training curriculum and found several issues and contacted them.

Laws are built upon the Constitution, and policies are implementations of laws.
Policies are the more specific and practical applications of the values and concepts presented in and protected by the Constitution, as codified by federal and local laws.
You might question if the policies accurately reflect the laws. That is completely legitimate.

So they agree that filming is legal, but they think they can trespass you for doing a legal activity of filming. They could make up any other excuse to trespass you such as all people with blue jeans must be trespassed, all people with sunglasses must be trespassed, or anyone with a hat must be trespassed. Ridiculous!
Filming is not just legal, it is protected as the first amendment of the United States. Being trespassed for exercising a constitutional right is the opposite of what police are supposed to do. Honor your oath!
I know this wasn’t too prevalent in this particular video, but remember that nobody anywhere can force you to delete footage that you have recorded under any circumstance as it is your property!
And for a cop to seize the phone and delete footage is evidence tampering.
