Literally, learn to lead and make a group! The issue is people feel entitled since they create the group. So they want the smoothest possible runs. Unfortunately log checking, and making sure people have 6/6 xp is the way to do it.

Every game IS an esport. Even Microsoft Excel has competitions and is considered an esport. You don't have to play them like a pro though. Being a scrub is cool, I don't know why people are so elitist.

Did this myself back in Legion, we had a blast clearing all raids and made a bunch of friends along the way
Our guild is like that on wild growth EU, we have a guy with grey parses and he still makes it into the raid
Our guild make 7-9 raids every wednesday and sunday. Everyone who signs up get a spot and everybody have a good time. It’s so nice. We’re on the eu rp server :)
If you wonder why MMOs are dying in popularity, it's this right here. Ziqo, a literal Rank 1 player, is not good enough for some random pugs. If he is not worth playing with or getting to know or even inviting to the group, why should any regular normal person even try? What is a new player looking at this supposed to think?
Im not rank 1, didn't have logs, spammed lfg for like 10 min, got invited and cleared 6/6. I guess rank 1 doesn't matter for a gnomer. (On hunter btw)
I just joined a guild. I get in raid easily every lockout and am starting to make friends.
They didn’t clear the raid though? I get that finishing the raid isn’t important for everyone but I’m not going to condemn people who enjoy clearing all the bosses
MMOs are dying because we don’t want our time wasted by dudes over 30 who want to “plAY GaMEs FOr FUn” dude come on I got things to do besides wipe and spend 2 hours in a raid just to get better gear to PvP with. I’d much rather spend the time to find a group that never wipes with people who value time as much as I do. Let it die if this is the outcome I say

Was a fun time. I've since gone on to 99 parse the last boss. Thanks for the nice react! This was a fun raid, nice to develop some muscle memory while on a bonus lockout opportunity.

It takes 2 second for me to right click ur name > click Copy character name > and paste it into WCL on my 2nd monitor.
I invite people who dont have logs or have mediocre logs all the time, just prove to me you have at least a basic understanding of the fights, have your prebis, have your class consumes, and you're invited

Honestly tho joining a guild is the best way to get into a gnomes if your a melee class
This is not a justification, but I think we have all been in the kind of group that goes in, barely downs a few bosses, spends an hour or two doing so, and then falls apart. I suspect that this is why so many pugs are min/max (or pretend to be). I joined a BFD pug on my 34 rogue and it took us 1.5 hours to clear. People were wiping and shit like the murloc boss and the druid tanks was, for some reason, healing themselves while tanking, hard casting spells. We even had two 40s, though they didn;t seem to have all their runes. I shit you not. It was the most wild experience I have had in a sod pug to date. When a lockout is at stake on current content, THAT is what people are trying to avoid.
I had a Pug, they posted "beginners pug" so i joined then. We killed 5 bosses with 1 Wipe at the Electro Guy bc the Wl Pet pulled it x))
But at the last Boss a healer was like "Have to go now" so we tried to get a replacement then some Shadow Priest was like "going shower and then eat my pizza should arrive in 20 mins"
Well ye, the end was scuffed. But it was a smooth Run for like 1,5h. Sure we would have killed the last boss with a replacement.
Gnome is rly not that hard. But i still think Classic SoD has the most toxic community i ever saw.
I’ve never had trouble finding pugs as a dps warrior. That being said pugs can be horrible and last forever cause a lot of people don’t respect each others time cause it’s “just a game” and that’s not fair either
Oh 4 years later we finally want to realize this.
I completed my first gnomer raid the other day in a complete pug. We did have a few people who'd done it, and one dude stepped up to raid lead in discord but besides that none of us knew each other. Heck the dude who put the group together had never done it either, he just invited whoever would accept an invite.
we cleared it day one with our guild. but our rule is , we go in blind. we avoid learning tactics and we learn it ourselfs. took us a bit longer but still cleared it without to much trouble. we love doing it like that.
I mean dude, Ziqo didnt even train mail proficiency and have shit prebis items lul
To be fair:
1. He is a fresh 40
2. Didn't train his spells after level 34(he won the mail shoulders but couldn't equip)
3. Is playing a far suboptimal spec at that moment with the wrong pet
4. Didn't bother to buy his pvp vendor rings/neck because he was too broke
5. Rejected a melee hunter when forming his group, who would've probably far out dps'd him and been more help
6. Took nearly 2 hours to clear the raid and didn't kill the last boss
7. No enchants and probably didn't use consumes
8. Gave each person 1 Salvage at the end and kept the rest inspite of all of the above
Even after the fact, looking at his logs, he got his STV Event Bow and then replaced it with the Thermaplugg Gun for some reason. This is 100% a Ziqo problem and scapegoating, nobody should want to take someone putting in low to no effort because they do not respect the time of everyone else.
Anyone can take time to look at his vod/logs to verify all of the above as well, I don't think his video is very fair or anything because of the circumstances he put himself in.
Anyone checking gear score or logs I call cringe straight to their face and I'm glad to not be in their group. Cleared every raid except the first week of phases as a pug.
i think the only problem here is that there arent enough raid leaders. every time i ask for a group cause im too lazy i get nada even with massive Parses.
I start i get a million messages, no worries guys, just start making more groups!:)
WoW players have always thought the game is much harder than it actually is.
its not about it being hard or not, but if your existence make the task more difficult than why would we bring you.

Depending on what level you are playing, Mythic raiding and the highest keystone clearing and highest levels of pvp actually are really hard. however people act like classic is harder then all that but its all old tactics and 2 tactics per boss however Sod etc is fun, its a change to the standard we know.... even tho you can clear the raids with grey gear, and they showed it. wearing greens and underleveled players and cleared the raids. plenty of vids.
@@chukky1124 yeah, there's def tough endgame content in retail because its designed so that only the top players can achieve it. but the stuff that is supposed to be achieved by everyone, like this, is easy.

We have a Pumper Warrior in our cassual Guild who parses every time a 99 and today... He died on Crowd Pummeler and .. oh boy ... he was fuming xDD
So yes, cassual Player definitivly have more fun playing the Game
Everyone enjoys and has fun playing the game in different ways, one side may enjoy min maxxing and being sweaty. While on the it her hand you have a side that just enjoys playing for the hell of it and doesn’t care how they perform. Both is totally acceptable. The issue arises when one side wants to bash the other side, as of late, that has been the casual side bashing anyone that wants to try there best at the game and perform. It has become extremely toxic on any forum for anyone that wants to actually try at the game. Casuals don’t wanna play with sweaty players and vise versa. Same as in real life. Your friends with like minded people that enjoy doing similiar things. I’m not sure why a game would be any different.
"It's not hard" . Dude, it's not hard for any player with 5 minutes to spare on reading/watching a guide + some basic IQ. most wow players are not like that :P
Guzu-2024 There is nothing wrong with wiping a few times, personally I always wipe multiple times I dont want dingle berrys down there

Running with the same group of parsers each lockout is no different than running a twink premade in BGs. Easiest path to victory while setting the standards too high.
EU are like that I find pretty polite and friendly
Lockouts are the root of the problem. People are all hypersensitive because they dont want to get a bad lockout. Just make the 10 mans resettable like ubrs and leave the lockouts for the big raidds.
The community is beyond toxic. Its unplayable as people do not wish to socialize, they play the game as if it was a solo game and they want to be the ''main character'' kek
Its a population issue and it happens and has happened on every massive wow server or on retail because of crossrealm play. Players themselves have no value because theres too many of them
I played a Rouge from vanilla through cata and I will say no one took rogues ever period. In any raid no matter what there was 1 if I was lucky. Rogues are not loved.
So people who are complaining about this are never the ones raging out and become toxic towards the group if there is one wipe, right? You stay through the 3hr runs, right?
Cuz i feel like i see that just as often as i see people complaining about the pug requirements
its insane to me that people would rather waste their "precious" time tailor knitting a perfect group in 5hours
than wasting 10-15min ghost running
it takes only few minutes to create good group, many ppl are texting you for inv , all u do is just pick the right ones and no , its not 10-15 min saved...its HOURS and many times u save ID by that , cuz ppl are leaving after 1 wipe or are unable to do 1 thing ...so its definitely worth doing for leaders

So long as the punishment for taking a bad is wasting a lockout, it wont change. Raid ID has to go, this is purely the result of people having bad experiences.
Yeah i mean i quit classic for the same reason. Some guild i applied to that didnt even clear icc yet denied me because i didnt want to spend the gold to get engineering

This exact issue is why i quit wow entirely. I really tried to get back into SoD after phase 2 released. I play a feral druid. I leveld to max, got some decet gear and started looking. Looked for 4 and a half hours directly after restet day. No group took me because i didn't have full pre raid BiS and didn't clear the previous raid more than twice. Sorry but classic is supposed to be a chill game. Why tf does everyone expect the best if the best from everyone when you can clear raid in literal greens?
True. Shoulda joined a guild tho. I really think a bigger issue is people not coming together to put time into making a team. I run a very casual guild and it’s super hard to find recruits cause no one wants to put time in to be social.

&Ussualy if you're even semi good or helpful a guild will love you and aide you in your own needs. You're gimping yourself if you're joining random groups every week.

imagine a famous multi rank 1 struggle getting invites, and then think about how regular normal players have it this issue is literally why i quit the game its so boring to spend hours finding a dungeon/raid run. It suck the life out of me when i log online i wanna game ? why does people not allow people to play lol, the weirdest thing is i see alot of people complaining about this and yet the same people wont let others play. Its like a spreading disease and nobody wanna fix it, just invite people and yes if they keep being sleepy fucking up or refusing to learn then its time to replace them, dont just refuse to invite people for no actual reasons there is alot of fine players out there who dosent bother spending 15 hours a day maxing out every stat on 3rd party programs, and even people with fine graphs and stats are also not being invited because some dipshit loser dosent like his spec or class or some other bullshit that dosent really matter anyways lmao.

Come play SoD man, ignore all of the controversy that's going on rn. The raid is mad easy. There's literally groups for everyone out there regardless of skill. Now if you wanna pump then pump and go for your parses. But if you don't then don't. Find like minded players by joining a guild or using the resources you have aka add-ons like bulletin board. You can easily sort thru the try hard posts and the casual posts. Typically I'm a sweaty player going for top 200 in the world so I'm gonna take the time to find a solid pumper group. But if I'm chilling with no DMF buff then it's pointless to go for the parse since I'm missing 10% DMG. I'll usually opt out for a casual run since there's no point to sweat.
Also being a high end raider with solid logs helps me a lot with finding groups and getting invites. So that's nice. Plus I bring tons of DPS for the raid to help them clear. I know mechanics and can raid lead if need be. I've got good call outs. Everything you could wish for from a raider I provide. Also you don't need to invest every hour of the day to the game just to have a chance to parse. I've farmed all the gold I'll need for future consumes. My bank is full of consumes just waiting to be used. Now I just raid log and play other games. And I still pump every raid!

Bro, this problem has been around since vanilla. Raid leaders and the like have had a stranglehold on endgame content, so it's either you play by their rules and worship the ground they walk on or you don't get to play endgame content, unless you build your own group with the other rejects. This has existed since vanilla. The community has used this not only to cherry pick who they want to allow to play endgame, but to gatekeep as hard as they can. It's the reason WoW is dying is bleeding out players and has been for years; they want everyone to experience their award winning endgame content, but the community doesn't agree. I still remember back in Wrath when achievements were first introduced; you want to do ICC normal difficulty? Link your achievement for having already beaten it or you can't go. No achieve? Door's over there, thanks for wasting my time. Some groups were even requiring the achieve for ICC HEROIC in order to do ICC normal. Some people state it's because then they know your gear is up to snuff and they won't wipe. Dude, if we need ICC heroic gear to do ICC normal, that sounds like a Blizzard problem to me. Which, btw, is why this problem exists today. Blizzard built a system and let their tyrannical player base have complete control over it. Gear requirements are less requirements and more like guidelines; where the community decides, on their own, if said requirements are enough. And, for the longest time, the community decided, no, it wasn't enough to be at the right gear level. You also need all of the enchants, gems, potions, personal and world buffs, "proper" specs for talents, and hours upon hours of research and experience. Oh, and you better have all the right addons too. And even if you're a rando that meets all their stupid requirements, they'll still find some reason not to bring you.
Yeah thats why i quit playing sod and went back to HC self found and just run alone. Been playing for years.. since wotlk first came out... I love the game. But 7/10 times its total bs to try and get a raid spot.

Logs and parces destroyed wow kinda hard to deny it. Turned everything into a meta or bust
so did tierlists and content creators dont see the issue with it... you are not S+++ tier? then you wont get an invite.... so many times i have seen friends of mine do this and guildies and they invite the S++++ class and the player is just utter poop. they roll the class because its high on the list but dont know how to play...
Logs , parces , Gearscore , ilvl... should all be banned...
RL searching for 1h+ + raidtime just to have a good clean raid instead of filling up in 10min and raid for a few min more explaining good strategy for the "hard" bosses
they could safe time but clean raids just feal much better :D

It has nothing to do with that. Theres two types of players. People that want to do well and that’s what they enjoy. Then you have people who enjoy playing the game at a casual level. Nothing wrong with either side, but you can’t expect the two sides too want to play with eachother. Just as in real life, you would have friends that enjoy and go about life the complete opposite as you. Nor should a MULTIPLAYER game be like that. If you have issues with that join a guild that is either sweaty or casual and raid there. Raids are not meant to be pugged, and with no gdkps this is what your left with when pugging. Because if it doesn’t go well you get saved to a barely cleared raid and leave with nothing you’ve just wasted your time.

its because the game is too easy. unironically. make boss mechanics harder and "pumping" becomes a nonsensical concept.
when there's no pressure to "hire" mechanically skilled players, then "pumpers" get the spots.
OBVIOUSLY the content is easy when you can kill (almost) every boss blind with only several attempts. That's EASY.

If you have the good comp its easy as long as ppl know their job you can one shoot any boss in gnomer / ziqo is a pvper these ppl are not good normaly in pve they dont know how to make good group so its normal that ppl check logs you have no idea how bad ppl are at this game but i agree some ppl abuse on the gatekeeping

Or we could design interesting mechanics that encourage class diversity to fill niche roles instead of just interchangeable dps. “Hmm green damage or blue damage?” Maybe damage output as the end all be all means your raid design is trash.

its not one or the other, its both. Its a population problem, where if u have too many people you CAN play with, you start pick and choosing just because you can. If you have ever played on a low pop server or private server, people are somewhat forced to take what they can and often prioritize player over class to some extent.
