Grass will give me hives on in I sit on it bare skinned. Make my feet itch insatiably if I walk through tall grass. I may gotten hives afterwards. I don’t recall I often get hives on my arms when harvesting along with hay fever attacks. I haven’t figured out which specific plant is triggering these allergies. It’s tolerable
I found a pitchfork will pull the grass roots out with leverage, then flip it over and loosen the dirt with a few whacks of the back of the pitchfork, then throw them on a mesh screen to loosen the rest of the dirt.
@@Lavender_May_American_Rooted I'm in midcoast Maine and our soil is naturally rocky with potato sized stones. I always use a pitchfork to loosen the soil and upend unwanted weeds and a quarter-inch mesh screen on two-by-fours to remove rocks. If I have small plants I want to save I hand dig with a 3 tine rake. I also compost so a spread about an inch of compost around new plants. I've had arugula, butter lettuce, and radishes sprout naturally in the spring from seed pods of the last year's crop. Love the free sprouts best.

Keep the water clean. Add a few drops of bleach. Amazon has many options for vase flower food. Vase life if mostly determined by flower. Different types of flowers have different taste lives. Sunflowers will only live in a vase a few days before dying. Other flowers will last two weeks. But the tips above will give your flowers the longest vase life possible
