  • The saved game is now on the Steam workshop steamcommunity...
    A 1:1 recreation made with Transport Fever 2, set in 1910 and based on the OS maps of the time.

    Important - Limitations of this medium
    -------------------------------------------------------
    I can only use the assets (houses, industrial buildings, farms, stations, rails, scenery etc.) available either in the base game or generously made available by modders.
    There are very few British models of houses, farms, cottages and shops of this period available for the game, so I have used whatever was to hand and I hope that the general impression is convincing even if the detail is not.
    Some assets, like fences and doors, flicker. This is a TF2 problem and there is nothing I can do about it. Sorry.

    On top of super soothing footage, may I add that your voice also has a wonderful calming quality to it?

    This is a hot ride. Very impressed with the electrical line detailing on the wayside.

      They are telegraph lines (as close as I could get)

      @@anthonyguter Looking good. I also saw in another video that you don't design your towns/villages/cities automatically, but instead manually detail them by hand?
      Impressive. I've started a new world for 2024 and am underway to do a similar thing. It makes a night and day difference in performance as I can ride all of my trains without lagging!

      Every single thing you see in my videos is placed by hand - every house, shop, field, tree (using the brushes for woods, of course), animal, vehicle .... Relying on the AI would kill it. I look at the map and place the most appropriate object to match it.

      Fun fact: part of this line from Lawley to horsehay and dawley including spring village yard as a heritage railway located in Telford and as a volunteer there it's nice to see somebody recreating history. Hopefully one day the line from Lawley to Ironbridge gets complete.

    There’s a small halt station of jackfield which the platform is still here but it’s mostly overgrown and so is jackfield sidings that’s all still there

    • @anthonyguter
      @anthonyguter  5 месяцев назад

      I did not model the halt at Jackfield because it was not there pre-1914 and does not appear on the OS maps that I was using.

    Nicely done Anthony! Love it! Is there any chance of sharing the save on Steam? :) Cheers mate!

      Problem is that I have altered a number of mods, often to remove terrain alignment so that I can place them where I want, and I don't know if the save will work on a standard setup.

    • @saspry
      @saspry 6 месяцев назад

      @@anthonyguterIf that involved altering any of the local code with a mod on your PC... then I guess the save wouldn't play properly with the original mod. Shame! I'd love to have a closer look at your work and see if I could get any ideas for my Northumbria series when I get back to that :) Cheers!

    Could it be possible to put the map on the steam workshop with all the used mods listed as required mods?
