  • It's been about two months since my last pick up video. This is a combination of the November, December and early January finds.

16:36 Hard pressed to haggle fomo on tentative deal; however, my motto has become to take advantage of a deal when I can. You rarely get a callback.

I really liked the road movie. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I dug it. Definitely not a happy ending though.

My gamestops have been coming in clutch with retro games! Picked up a complete copy of Croc 2 on ps1 for $4.99 last week! Also found that dragon ball hd collection on ps3 from there for $19.99 last month!

Nice. I think it will be interesting to see if Gamestop can maintain retro gaming in store. I think it's probably not cost effective in their current model to ship everything to their hub and have people test and verify the games THEN ship them back to the stores.

@@CMRetroGaming I guess they have a generous return policy. I would be more worried about unscrupulous patrons who sell inauthentic games to the store. I suggested that only stores with people who have the knowledge to verify take in the retro stock. Maybe there could be some sort of certification, though I imagine it being inconvenient when that worker isn't present and the clerk telling the patron to come back a different day when the certification employee is working.

@@WhatsOnMyShelf I agree. They need to have people on staff that can identify the fakes. It's also sad that the fake games that slip by end up being purchased by collectors that then have to deal with GameStops return policy.

Amazing pickups Chris! That's a nice deal on that Zelda game. My Christmas pickups will be available in 2 weeks. This week will be my games I've completed. I got a ton of stuff in the pickup video.

3:13 Mercari has a similar fee structure; however, I don't think Mercari lowers fees on certain categories like ebay does when you have a store. That may not be an issue, if you don't sell as much; however, if you already have an ebay store, then you will lose more to fees when switching to Mercari. I haven't used Mercari as a seller so I don't know how they arbitrate buyer-seller contests. Ebay makes it very easy to get screwed as a seller because a buyer can claim anything and get a return / refund. Ebay policies changed when they shut down class action lawsuits several years ago.

2:59 The 30 cent fee is what credit / debit platforms charge ebay to process the transaction. Ebay passes that charge to the seller. Further, it used to be that the fee _was not_ refunded to the seller when a buyer cancelled; however, ebay finally started refunding that maybe a year or two ago. I don't understand why ebay charged your bank since anything refunded should be from the pending transactions.

Jesus, that's some BS on Ebay's end. I sell on Ebay and now need to check on my end if they're doing that to me.
How much for that King of Quad? 😂
Man some of those PS3 games rough. Been there too man, but I think hopefully it pays off you gave her $25.
Great find on the Zelda game!

There is no refurbish fee on broken retro consoles at GameStop right now! Jump on it before they clip it. I’ve been trading in garbage lol
    Just make sure they’re complete

That's massively alarming about that bank charge. EBay is getting worse by the month it seems. And it really is 100% set up to screw the seller which is counterintuitive. It's a marketplace. You can't pick sides. You need both. Absolutely wrong indeed. I also hate you can't call them anymore. You have no help at all.

I don't understand why the entire couldn't be refunded from the pending transaction money. I don't think we have all the info here and it's not that ebay or CM are hiding anything, it's just that it's difficult to understand. I often find mystery charges that are hard to trace on monthly statements and I have to work out that it was part of some refund, international shipping fee, or a UPS / Fedex charge when they used to charge upon delivery of an item (usually cheaper than the stated delivery fee at the time of purchasing the label).
